yes! we are catching most of our fish right now flatlining about 50 feet behind the boat with dodgers. if you add a wieght in front of your dodger make sure you leave about 28-36" of line between your weight and dodger

I have a small boat about 12 foot long and 4 foot wide and all the right gear except the downrigger. Next year for those. But am going to Wickiup opening day April 27 wish me luck. Great video
Yes, it will go bad in as little as two days. It might be edible for you to eat but the fish wont touch it for some reason. Pro-cure Kokanee Killer Korn Magic is avalible at Kokaneekid fishing (link in the description) and will help it last up to three days and really firms it up and helps it stay on the hook
Thanks man! April and may you shouldn't have any problems with no down riggers. As it gets hotter though the fish will drive deeper and be harder to get too. Check out kokaneekid fishing's long lining kit!
Zack, great tips and video. I live in Idaho Falls and have been chasing Kokes for years with pretty good success, but always interested in learning new things. What's your take on the bite during the August spawn and then after? I'm particularly interested in when you see the non-spawners (2 yr olds?) start to bite again, or whether you can get them to bite during the spawn. I've had limited success, but seems like later in September they've turned back on (and of course during ice fishing season which is a blast).
I intend to troll for kokanee and trout soon. I don't have down riggers and I don't want to put them on my boat. Can you give your advise, or make a video, about trolling without down riggers? I would appreciate it. Thank you.

LJP707videos Same question here. I was planning on trolling slower with dodgers so i can go a slower speed than flashers.
LJP707videos Maybe try dodgers with a Rapala Countdown cd-5. It might help you get extra weight behind the dodgers.
