This is the most beautiful song in the world that makes this grown man cry. I think of my mother and all her unconditional love she's given me, and my beautiful wife and all the same love she gives to our children and our new grandchild. My mother in law gets mention in all this as well.
Literally was allowed to hold my son for the first time who was just diagnosed with special needs since thanksgiving, they thought he was gonna die, he was critical. The hospital saved him, and they held a candle lit vigil making individual ornaments for each child’s life lost and I panicked coming in and said a prayer scared to see for the second time if they failed pulling him out of sedation and intubation early, this song was playing when they told me I could hold him, he was breathing on his own and is doing better, tell me why I can’t help but think that my son was held up on the cluster in enormity little Angel wings and he came back to me, my boy, he’s okay! He’s still my boy despite everyone thinking he wasn’t cognizant and wouldn’t pull through, he’s got motor development issues in the aftermath, but he sat up and held me, his mom, my only son knew who I was and I am so ever grateful! The only good thing for me to come out of 2023 since my sister died. I am commenting from her account. RIP Shannon, Thankyou for looking after your nephew and holding him in your wings and pulling hkm through another set back and having me stand up despite all mine, losing you was hard and I couldnt lose him and you knew this and pulled him through and all the children who died at this hospital too carried him to recovery I truly believe that and I got to hold and see my baby as he was before this terrible accident and diagnosis as he is and was! He was still underneath it all and held me crying, and I just was grateful to never have to say goodbye to him but say goodbye to thinking it couldn’t get worse and it always did, but through it all I found glimmers of hope and remained confident and held him up when no one else but close friends myself and his father saw he could though.. Thankyou to the exceptional staff of SUMMERLIN hospital in Las Vegas Nv, the candlelit vigil and the family’s of the angels who lost their lives and their spirits than send healing to my son and my late sister Shannon Clark for never leaving me even in death, yoj remained his protector even in the end. I truly believe that, and you taught me how to pull of my pants and being confident in the mom you always saw me as even when we never had one. Your were a woman I looked up to and always will

I'm a 31 year old man and I'm in the hospital sitting beside my mom as she is recovering from a surgery of her gallbladder removed and I'm about to shed tears just based on everything she has had to go through in her life and I'm just seeing a negative future for her based on her health and goddamn she doesn't deserve it.❤😭🥺

I was adopted when I was 2 years old and I only knew my mother for about 4 years because she had a stroke when I was 6 and she's been gone for a little over 8 years. A very beautful soul she loved everyone literally always giving someone something an never trying to get sympathy or recognition that was genuinely just her / my mom Ashley G. Stafford she was nicknamed the Lindsey Mom because we grew up on Lindsey Street an she took care of all the kiddo's with drinks snacks toys even easter baskets an holiday gifts and always giving the best advice that she could never take herself. There was also a tennis court they later turned into a basketball court an they had park right next to my house across the street from tennis courts it was a nice small subdivision she was very inspiring also an after school teacher you never would have guess what she was doing behind closed doors. She didn't look different either really. Masked it very well. She ended up committing suicide Nov. 25, 2016. God I love an miss her very much right now. Now I have an almost 3 year old boy Emmett Lewis an it's sad she will never get to meet him in person but I know she gave me him when I was ready she told God okay give it to her at 21 found out on Dec 31 I was 4 weeks already. An I had been praying for a change in my life because I was drinking so heavily after she passed. Also was exposed at young age to alot an more violence an fighting parents then the drug talk. I still sometimes like hear the exact argument an have a flashback of that day or night of just pure hell. Parents were fire an gasoline. Despite her being a tad crazy from undiaognosed bi polor an BPD that didn't help when she decided to end it all. Love the old country songs from 2000s she liked LeAnne Rimes as well

In 98 when I had my accident putting me in a wheelchair, my mother came 200 miles from home, to the hospital and stayed, I went from the hospital to rehab in 3 days, only to be sent back due to negligence, mom remained until my release, was over a month. I was happy to have her there, with all the hospital/rehab mistakes there was someone I could count on, all while her job was being held for her return. Makes me a mamma's boy, I was 26

She suffered for a long 2 years with stage 4 cancer and when she passed it tore a hole in my heart that will never be replaced. I miss my mom soooo much. Also get chills when she says as she "runs her brush through her silver hair" As a child I pictured my mother being 100 years old but when I got a little older an knew an seen the demons an drug addiction I realized I could never picture my mother getting old because of the path she had chosen to take an now she's gone at 37. A very beautful soul she loved everyone literally always giving someone something an never trying to get sympathy or recognition that was genuinely just her / my mom Ashley G. Stafford she was nicknamed the Lindsey Mom because we grew up on Lindsey Street an she took care of all the kiddo's with drinks snacks toys even easter baskets an holiday gifts and always giving the best advice that she could never take herself. There was also a tennis court they later turned into a basketball court an they had park right next to my house across the street from tennis courts it was a nice small subdivision she was very inspiring also an after school teacher you never would have guess what she was doing behind closed doors. She didn't look different either really. Masked it very well. She ended up committing suicide Nov. 25, 2016. God I love an miss her very much right now. Now I have an almost 3 year old boy Emmett Lewis an it's sad she will never get to meet him in person but I know she gave me him when I was ready she told God okay give it to her at 21 found out on Dec 31 I was 4 weeks already. An I had been praying for a change in my life because I was drinking so heavily after she passed. Also was exposed at young age to alot an more violence an fighting parents then the drug talk. I still sometimes like hear the exact argument an have a flashback of that day or night of just pure hell. Parents were fire an gasoline. Despite her being a tad crazy from undiaognosed bi polor an BPD that didn't help when she decided to end it all. Love the old country songs from 2000s she liked LeAnne Rimes as well
I know this isn't a place for journals but it's crazy how a song can make you think back an remember everything you went through. An then when you down an remember it you listen to music that makes you feel better or something relatable music is also my Hero
In 98 when I had my accident putting me in a wheelchair, my mother came 200 miles from home, to the hospital and stayed, I went from the hospital to rehab in 3 days, only to be sent back due to negligence, mom remained until my release, was over a month. I was happy to have her there, with all the hospital/rehab mistakes there was someone I could count on, all while her job was being held for her return. Makes me a mamma's boy, I was 26

We played this song at my mom's funeral. She was truly my Hero. As well as my siblings. She suffered for a long 2 years with stage 4 cancer and when she passed it tore a hole in my heart that will never be replaced. I miss my mom soooo much. I lost both of my parents before I turned 25 and lord does it hurt. I miss them both very much especially my mom. I had 21 years with her and then I wake up and poof she's gone. It's hard sk those who still have your cherish her with everything you have in you.

I lost my mom eight years ago today when I was fourteen to brain cancer and this song always makes me think of her. I am so grateful that I was blessed with such a beautiful person as my mother she was and is the most important person in my life. My mother was one of the strongest people I have ever known, even through the worst parts of her illness she was helping people, spreading smiles and laughter. She will always be my hero, and I hope no one ever takes their mother for granted.
