As I am sitting in hospice with my Grandma Rose Marie and playing this song for her. This song has always been our song. Grandma I love you so much and I hope you fly high and dance with grandpa.
That's who this song should be for. Every person fighting death or trying to support life. I sometimes listen to this song for rationally is so great about it, it's not intellectually genius, this song is so emotional and spiritual genius though, just like most classic country and classic rock, but especially classic country, you just can't argue with it, and you don't know why. I posted on my Facebook "if someone can produce a relevant argument tell me" but I erased it because no one even liked the video....I should send it to my mom and sisters and they would get it...but I just feel that...like someone really form an academic argument against "Rosemary's Granddaughter" okay.
My mom would play this song all the time. She passed when I was 17 and a couple days after, this song played on the radio. I immediately sobbed. Now I have a baby girl and I play this for her and I will always be her biggest fan. She is a blessing and she is amazing.
I am, and have done so probably a dozen times this year, not to mention the hundreds of times in the last decade. While that may be due to the fact that what is today's standard for 'music' hurts those with a sense of sound and clarity of listening purpose, some of us like to hear and understand lyrics that tell a story and make sense without all the synthesized garbage that passes as 'music' these days.
I remember swinging from the swing my daddy hung in our yard as a little girl and singing this at the top of my lungs. As i hear it now, it brings me to tears. I have lost everyone... but will never forget the lessons I learned from them... that made me who I am. ❤
Ahhh thought I'd reach out today since I am active here too 💓 thinking/praying for the loved ones you've lost today, and you. This song reminds me of the good ol days. Thank you for your input, very relatable 🫶💓
Listening to this song while looking at a picture of my dad. He passed last year. It got me to shed a tear. I look a lot like my dad. I'm fortunate to take that with me to remember him.
I just lost my Life Companion several weeks ago...having a hard time adjusting...started watching Sue Thomas Private Eye on the Hallmark channel on roku...and this is the theme song...I listened to it and this is just me...so now it is my theme song...thank you Jessica Andrews...you are an angel.
Sue Thomas FBEye...My nephew danced and sang this song every day when he was a baby. Like he would be babbling then literally stopped what he was doing to listen to it and dance. It was great. Just turned 14.
This beautiful song and video have always held a special place in my heart, as I have a daughter whose grandma is Rosemary! My lovely girl is turning 21 soon, so I had to come listen to this song again and as always, it made me smile and tear up!
I am Callies granddaughter, spitting image of my mother and father. I have a family that loves me, And this song brings tears to my eyes, because I know that they are proud of me.
I probably haven't heard this song since I was in my teenage years, for some reason I just started singing it today, it stuck with me for almost 15 years!
Your not alone, I read "i guess its who I am" in a chat with a friend and this shot back into memory. Dont even listen to country like that but the early 2000s...big part of my childhood
This is my daughter's song for sure! Her grandmothers name is Rose Mary and she for sure is a spitting image of her father and I am always her biggest fan.
Faith Holcomb that's cool it does not matter what color or race all music is for every one I have friends that are and they are good friends I love them they all ways have my back.
My version: I am Margarets granddaughter The spitting image of my father When the day is done my mommas still my biggest fan The one where it talks about her friends I really relate to. I have known my best friend since kindergarten and we are still BFFs to this day. She knows everything about me
I forgot about this song Until I started streaming Sue Thomas F.B. Eye.... and the first time it played I remembered every single word. I loved this song when I was young... such a beautiful song.. it makes me tear up every time.
This is a nostalgia bomb, haven't heard this in years! This song was all over the radio in the early 2000s, it's a shame her music career never really went anywhere after this song.
Every time I hear this song I think of our daughter Taylor. It's like a song about her. Because she is named after her grandmother Rosemary who passed away before she was born.
My grandma Rosemary was an artist and although she died before I was born I carry so much of her with me, every time I paint I feel her presence. Used to listen to this on repeat as a kid
I sang this song in a talent show when I was in middle school, and it meant a lot to me then. Now it means even more because it reminds me that I don't need to live an extravagent life or have everyone love me, because the most important people in my life are there for me..That's all that matters in the end.
make that 4 more kittens hope holly blizzard and marshmallow and a mother cat angel holly i know my mother ran her over with a car but marshmallow angel blizzard and hope im not sure there just missing :(

Anyone else just rediscover this song for the first time in 20 years?

I am, and have done so probably a dozen times this year, not to mention the hundreds of times in the last decade.

I am!!
If more people in life felt this way whatta better place we would all live in
I remember swinging from the swing my daddy hung in our yard as a little girl and singing this at the top of my lungs. As i hear it now, it brings me to tears. I have lost everyone... but will never forget the lessons I learned from them... that made me who I am. ❤

Im nobody's granddaughter and I don't know a rose Marie. I'm just a dude in Fulton eating soup yet somehow I relate to this song
You must know exactly who you are. There's peace in that. Good for you.

Hits my soul too. Listening on my way home from work and literally cried because I am so grateful for everyone in my life.

She is definitely better than Taylor Swift... Taylor has no talent and she sure can't sing...
Jessica has an Incredible voice!
Listening to this song while looking at a picture of my dad. He passed last year. It got me to shed a tear. I look a lot like my dad. I'm fortunate to take that with me to remember him.

This is a nostalgia bomb, haven't heard this in years! This song was all over the radio in the early 2000s, it's a shame her music career never really went anywhere after this song.
Jessica Andrews who I am became her 1st and only number 1 hit on the U.S. country charts in 2001
This song popped up 13 years later man- 💀
I forgot this song existed until pandora radio started playing this song
Every time I hear this song I think of our daughter Taylor. It's like a song about her. Because she is named after her grandmother Rosemary who passed away before she was born.

I sang this song in a talent show when I was in middle school, and it meant a lot to me then. If I live to be a hundred
And never see the seven wonders
That'll be alright
If I don't make it to the big leagues
If I never win a Grammy
I'm gonna be just fine
Cause I know exactly who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends that love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am
So when I make a big mistake
And when I fall flat on my face
I know I'll be alright
Should my tender heart be broken
I will cry those teardrops knowing
I will be just fine
Cause nothing changes who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends that love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am
I'm a saint
And I'm a sinner
I'm a loser
I'm a winner
I am steady and unstable
I'm young
But I am able
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends that love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends that love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am
I love this song

This just beautiful ❤x.
Jessica, I'm in the UK and this song and your beautiful voice makes me happy each time I hear it. Bless you ❤x.
I smell the inside of department stores when I hear this song..
That's weird because the video makes me think of log cabins with lots of acreage, and trailer parks in the South. I love her mullet in the kid pictures. I just relate to everything about this song, except I was closer to my grandpa than my grandma because she died. I look like my dad, my sister said "he could have picked you straight out of his butt" which is gross but I look like him, and my mother does stand beside me no matter what. I love the defiance of this song to things like fame, money etc. It's probably why she didn't pursue a career further after this one hit wonder, she probably settled down and became a mom, or a teacher, or a poet or something, Maybe she owns an antique shop in Tennessee or chains herself to redwoods. Woo wee.
This used to play in alot of stores. Ive heard this in Home Depot, Macy's, and Ikea multiple times.
I'm still here October 2020
My grandmother rosemary passed away 3 years ago 😢 and I look just like my dad nothing like my mom. And my mom is my best friend. 😭😭😭 song hits so hard home for me.
Jessica never got the airplay she needed. Another country artist forgotten...... Until this video. Thanks so much for the upload
My son and I met Jessica a long time ago in Virginia and she was very nice and my son really loved her. We were standing right at the stage and she saw me writing something on a piece of paper and she said "oh I'm going to get a note" and I gave the note to her and she wished a friend of ours a Happy Birthday and after her concert we were getting ready to leave, but we were just standing there hoping that we could meet her and all of a sudden a man came over to us and handed us both a sticker and said for us to go back stage and meet her....the guy had to be her manager. That was really nice of him and she was so nice....we had a picture taken with her and she autographed a lot of things for us.
That's amazing!! So glad you have that memory with your son..
❤❤
My brother actually met trent tomlinson the guy who sings one wing in the fire Trent actually at the time was married to a distant cousin of ours even got his autograph love that song
Thumbs up if Sue Thomas FBI brought you here!!!
