- with David Lawrence, Carol Burnett and Michael Feinstein preview of the upcoming public tv special airing Saturday, Dec. 2nd nationally (check local listings) and premiering Thursday December 28th in New York on Thirteen WNET.
This makes me cry. Timeless singers and beyond fabulous. Precious couple. Their music is forever.
The special was excellent and long overdue! What a pleasure it is to see them on TV again, and these great rare performances. Eydie had one of the greatest voices of the 20th century.
Saw them eight times. Great performers, great singers. Steve was the last of the generation of great singers. Very sad. Wish I could find this PBS show somewhere.
Together again. R.I.P. Steve ...
I can still hear their albums playing on my parent’s Hi-Fi in the 1960s! I cannot wait to watch this. ❤️
God blessed us with Steve & Eydie
I came across this couple when I was in my 30s ( im now in my 60s) and BOY what singers these are! The tone and strength of voices are incredible and I absolutely adore Eydie's voice.
Grew up watching them on television. Looking forward to this.
Currently watching this long overdue tribute to your wonderful parents. You were well qualified to host this David.
I can't wait to see this special with your parents. I wish we knew how Steve is really doing.
I just watched the tribute to your parents on PBS. I was especially impressed by your mother. Wow, she kind of reminds me of Shirley Bassey! Just the way she expresses herself and phrases some of her words. Some of her choices in her notes. What a talent! Your dad is incredible too.
I am really looking forward to this My Music special. Steve & Eydie were perfectly matched, professionally and personally.
I have watched the show 5 times so far, and plan to watch once more next week (as we have 3 different PBS stations in the NYC area showing it). I wish there were a way to get a streaming version - I don’t own CD or DVD players anymore. I have loved Steve & Eydie since I saw Golden Rainbow when I was 12…
I thank my Bobie for turning me on to all this music....
Yes!!
@TJL Productions I watched this last night & enjoyed Steve & Eydie - TJ your productions is to be reckoned with & believe me I always anticipate every week if you have one! I seem to miss your show if I don't see it on PBS 🙂 I love all the promos that you have & keep it coming please! You're great! Happy Holidays
Where can I watch this now? Every place I navigate to says it is unavailable. I was such a big fan and when all my classmates were buying the Beatles records, I was buying Steve and Eydie. RIP and forever together. 💙❤
I’m so disappointed that I missed this show! I am in FL…PBS station WEDU. Will it be shown again?
My mom went to high school with Eydie in the Bronx
My parents were from the Bronx too. Same neighborhood. Grew up on Steve and Eydie. My mom was a singer too like E. This show has me in tears.
Steve lawrence definitely had the most romantic voice, ever.
Carol Burnett needs to stop saying she was friends with every person she met. It's annoying.
Carol Burnett sure liked kissing Steve.
Wow.
I always found Eydie's voice to be shrill. My opinion has slightly changed over the years.
Really? I know you say you changed your opinion, but I don’t understand how do you thought that in the first place. Her voice was very warm and round.
