M4A1 Block II with Trijicon ACOG | What I've Learned So Far

- I've made a few videos on shooting at longer distances, so now I want to recap my progress. I'm still learning shooting techniques but wanted to share what I'm doing to improve.
Rifle: Daniel Defense M4A1
Scope: Trijicon ACOG 4x32 TA31RCO-A4CP
Im a fan of this setup. I'd love to see more content like this about the acog and m4a1

Something I was taught to do was move the acog ALL the way back on the reciver and move your rear sight in front of it. The acog is your primary sight so give priority to it. The eye relief is the same but you can extend the butt stock for a more natural shooting posture.
If you do need your flip sight you can still use it.
That's a good point - I sometimes feel like I have to crane my neck forward because of where I've placed the ACOG.
@jamesshoots Yeah you're not alone. My issued rifle is set up this way. Anyone I've told who've tried it hasn't gone back. Give it a shot and let us know how it works for you.
I know it's CRAZY money but if you can get a couple boxes of 77gr your groups will GREATLY improve. If nothing else it can act as a confidence builder for you on those longer range target's.

That grouping was wild compared to the start.
Yeah honestly I was pretty surprised by how it started vs. how it ended. I have a little bit of M193 brass left over so I'll probably try that - and maybe some match ammo - next time to see if I get better results!
@@jamesshoots wonder if it’s the acog. Ur acog is made specifically for the m16a4(20 inch barrel). I doubt that would cause that group though. Could be an ammo issue or the shooter who knows. The rco-a4 is for ar15a4 and the rco m4 is for as you guessed it the m4
@@Tryharder69420 For sure, it might be good if I switched the ACOG back to my M16A4 clone then. Maybe I can bring both rifles to the range next time and see the differences!
I need to get the same ACOG for my Colt AR15A4 M16A4 clone. I have a Windham Weaponry M16A4 clone too that is awesome also. I'm just gonna stick with the carry handle for that one because it looks badass and I love those sights. Honestly the carry handle is probably my favorite iron sighting system for the AR15.
