That's EXACTLY the weapon light you want for the CQB purpose you built the rifle for. If you build another that is more multipurpose rather than CQB, a higher candela light makes sense. At this time only the 600 version of that same light will have better CQB performance.
I built an upper is similar back in 2008/9 using one of John Noveske's N4 barrels 14.5 M249 turn down blank, perm PWS NT4 flashcomp. Still going but I don't shoot it as much anymore, round count is around 20K and not showing any adverse signs yet.
have one myself. Sadly I went with a aero upper. Gonna see if using a colt upper and colt bcg will improve accuracy. Currently getting like 2.5 moa with Winchester M855.
Mine was built by DD…I can’t really complain with accuracy. You can always send it to APE defense and have them FIT everything together…they’ll get you a great shooter
I’m confused on the pressure pad setup. The dual switch for laser/ light makes sense, but what is the extra modlite button for? That would have three leads, but only two devices to attach to?
The DBAL A3 has dual Output so I can run the vis laser or the IR marker/illuminator switched to ON and have a switch for each one. So I can throw either one without changing the settings on the DBAL

Doing a similar build, got the SOCOM profile barrel, Daniel Defense RIS II FSP rail, what brands of upper receivers are good to go with the barrel and the rail?
@@MillWorks-vi6oj awesome 😎 I originally was going to go with aero precision upper but was unsure about it, looked at Daniel Defense but I didn't see that they had just the upper for sale, most came with the rail and barrel as well. Should have switched my MOS to armory while I was in the Corps to gain more knowledge 😂
Why choose FSP RIS II and keeping the delta over the low profile gas block and full rail RIS II? What’s the advantage to keep the delta? I’m asking bc I’m not sure what option to adopt on my AR.
I’d say there are more advantages with the lowPro block and full length rail. Most glaring advantage is real estate for lights and lasers and being able to put them where you want them. I went FSP because it suited me and it was a smoking deal 😅
My build is similar Got surfire scout with electrical tap for the cable management and the tap switct (it works) PSA lower with SLS magpul stock (recovering broke nigga) DD Ris II FSB 14.5 pin and weld EXPS3 DD fixed rear sight Magpull angled grip Magpul adjustable sling and a DD sling QD socket No laser (yet)
@@cuylercronin I’m assuming you are new to guns in this case. That riser makes the eotech that is already high up over the bore of the rifle even higher, somewhat better if your shooting with night vision on, but it is a CQB optic and in CQB as it sits with the mount, makes you have large hold overs and also screws up your cheek placement for fast shooting. So there are a lot of downsides to the mount with a few up sides to it. If you have any questions feel free to ask and myself and the team can get you set up correctly so you don’t spend lots of money on bad set ups and develop bad shooting habits
@@Flashhideronly yeah I run a unity riser for my eotech on my 10.3 build but I wouldn’t run anything high on my longer guns. Love high mounts, way more comfortable to shoot just have to practice and know your hold overs.

CQB in my book but a 14.5 can easily get pushed out to easily 600 yards you’ll have a 100 Moa drop…. understand no it is 0 to 77 and you use 62 grain your holes are going to be extremely different then again you’re running a eotech Can be used to judge distance but not the best for 3-600 I would try out some sort of LPVO set up …. It works for me. DBALA3 has the ability to have Vis and IR readily available to be fired through two separate switches. It’s an easy system to work and one I’ve worked with for a while now.
This build is chefs kiss. Absolutely gorgeous. I’m a sucker for mismatched FDE
its the natural breakup. looks fantastic!
It's the coolest Block 2 FSP set up I've ever seen
i just got a ddm4 fsp upper as well...itll be setup damn near the same. glad you like it
Sweet rifle man I’m a sucker for FSP rifles, such a timeless look especially with that RIS 2

Can’t argue with a Noveske… sounds like a banger 🤙🏻
i love spikes lowers man. they do quality work. i use them for my block 2 cqbr and URGI

@MillWorks-vi6oj Thanks!
I like the colors used. Everyone uses FDE or Tan but those colors are better suited for the Middle East unless you're in the south west US.

Very nice, you put some thought into it.

Aero is good to go. If anything it’s finish quality is better than Colt these days.
Im trying to build my dd fsp upper just like yours
Is that the socom barrel upper and is it overgassed ?
Its M4 profile, I never felt as though it was overgassed.
How heavy is it? I have a very similar build and it's pretty heafty.
