    Release focused on terminators and removing Deathwing Command Squad and not giving it the same ability to join terminators/knights and give out enhancements is a travesty.

    I actually really hope they keep this interaction. Doing that much damage does seem over powered on the surface but you have to work pretty hard to get it and invest a good amount of resources into it.

    I don't think this is too powerful.
    I ran a RW Command Squad with a bike chaplain with fire (bolter as it was in the index) discipline and old oath of moment, I think that was probably stronger? Probably has more to do with old oath than the dev wounds from the chaplain though.

    What did u think about add an lieutenant with combi weapon ? ( inside in a rhino transport to stay near from the command squad )
    to proc +1 wounds rolls againts infanterie with W5 and re-rools wounds rolls 1. All of that over an objective selected after déploiement phase

      @@epic_flail Nothing prevents you from using two Ravenwing Command Squads and two units of Knights. Of course only one gets the enhancement. Arm the other with Honour Vehement and turn it into a combat killer unit.

    1. The footprint of the RWBK is HUGE- aka the models will almost never be placed to get a full volley of shots on the WTC/GW table.
    2. The RWBK mounted keyword blocks their movement across the board and a simple unit of scouts, scrabbs, swarms or nurglings will block them in their deployment.
    3. Their range is short, combine that with 1&2 above and only a rookie player will allow You to get Rapid Fire on key targets.
    4. The RWBK are soft with t5 w3 sv3 inv5. Any solid shooting will cut the squad in half, and since the unit is HUGE, You wont be able to hide them from SAFHs.
    5. The unit is soft and has no reasonable mele, so any CC oriented army will simply keep to the walls and charge without OW.
    Ergo: its only broken on paper, but it wont fit the table. Trust me, I've tried 7 man bike Squads and their to bulky to operatex the 9 man ones will simply die before they will be able to pay off their points value.

    It's not 27 OC, only RW commands squad is 2 OC base, RW black knights are 1 OC. So a unit of 9 would be 21 OC. Still a lot, but not as much as you say.
    As for the theoretical of doing 70 wounds against marines you are assuming that 27 shots will convert into 35 hits and 100% wound conversion. That's kinda like saying 5 intercessors can kill 5 intercessors in one round of shooting if you hit and wound with all shots and they fail all their saves.
    Without buffs outside firediscipline 27 shots will become 27 hits. Against T4 these will become about 24 wounds, rounding up for generosity. So yeah, with fire discipline and firestorm strat they can on avarage kill 24 marines, which is 48 wounds.
    Now, against terminators they would cut this damage in half just because of the invul, and then loose a bit more from them being T5, resulting in 9 wounds or 4,5 dead terminators.
    Is it good? Yes. Is it broken? I doubt it.

      OC base 2 + 1 = 3
      All the calcs are done with a 40k calculator. Not much else to say tbh...

      The maths was run through a damage estimation tool - remember there is Oath of moment and 5+ is sustained 1

      My bad on the OC, was certain RWB Knights were OC1 since it's rare with OC2 outside battle line or big things.

      Yeah, sustained 1 on 5+ with BS3+ is mathematically same as 100% hit ration, re-rolls and modifiers change this.
      It's just when talking about splitting fire between three targets it feels wasted to spend oath to buff two or three bikes, so just looking at base output with enhancement and strat felt most relevant.
      And this combo has technically been available since the get go, but with fewer bikes of course.
      Now with dropped points and increased unit size I can see it as a legit build for a bit of alpha strike, but I doubt it will dominate the meta.
      Sorry for being negative in my first response, it just kinda rubs me a bit the wrong way when I feel people exxagerate things. But this is a good find that I might test out with my deathwing. Even without oath and just enhancement and strat it has potential to deal heavy damage to just about anything that lack an invul 🙂

    and after shoot u can charge...4+ to wound monster and veichle, +1 to advance and +1 to charge.
    but aggressor are really good and can go straight the ruins

    It’s not as much damage as you think since base they have 2 attacks apiece before sustained hits. The 3rd attack via rapid fire only procs once the model is within 9 inches of the enemy unit you’re targeting. Good luck with that on one turn and then surviving both their overcharge and the shootback/charge. They don’t deal as much damage as you’re clearly exaggerating for clickbait.
    It’s a purely situational volley that you’re thinking of since sustained hits isn’t guaranteed. Sure you can THEORETICALY get a fair amount of damage off but that’s mostly an outlier and nowhere near the norm.
    Dev doctrine allows them to max move 18” forward and the Rapidfire keyword only benefits that on hotdog deployment or opposite corner deployment zones where you put them on the front line and you better hope you don’t go second because I doubt terrain will always be in your favor. Y’all grasping at straws right now.

      When you can move 12 and advance on current board layouts you are definitely going to be able to get within 9 inches. Even if you dont what is going to want to go near them? Great for controlling the board.
      Sustained hits on a 5+ with Oath of moment is great - the math we talked about is legit.

      @@epic_flailTrue, though I never challenged you on your math. The math works out for max damage and max dice rolls not averages. No one needs to go near it as Black Knights no longer have their 9th edition 4++ Invuln which is why they were so tanky before. On average you’re going to lose 2-3 BKs due to hazardous. Now that’s 20 wounds remaining on a 3+ save and 5++ Invuln which is okay at best. After one counter volley from your opponent and a charge they will be eaten up. They’re a one use glass cannon rather than a combo hammer/anvil unfortunately.

    Don't forget the ungodly amount of CP you need to spend to keep this combo up
    Obviously you get one pop of Dev doctrine for free but then you'd need to spend 1 cp a round for adaptable strategy, kinda like aggressors or hellblasters with bolter discipline really and those units are fine.

    This is not even close to broken. You need to be within 9 inches of a squad to get 27 shots. You're going to be doing 18 the vast majority of the time. Hellblasters get 20 at 24 inches and can take a lieutenant for lethal sustained. You're idiots if you think this is suddenly broken when it's never been a problem. After this, you're going to lose 1-2 to hazardous tests and then your opponent will shoot a bunch down in their turn. You clearly didn't think this out at all. Good job.

      The bikes move 12 and in current meta getting 9 away is exceptionally easy. 18 is still pretty wild, thats 35 dmg on marine profile and half a land raider dead.
