I think Fellhammer is better than it sounds. I think when it's played correctly and put into practice that it can be very deadly. I intend to find out! Also, I think Obliterators CAN use point blank destruction, they just can't use the profile that has the blast effect.
One little trick I'm liking in Soulforge. 2x5 Legionaires in a Rhino. Make the Rhino a Daemon, gains the benefits of all the Daemonic Vehicle stuff when it uses it's firing Deck to shoot the 2 Las Cannons. Chaos got Razorbacks that can get +1 to hit and RR Hits etc Also, if Heldrakes got dropped in points, they would be VERY Meta relevant. 7 Attacks with Sustained, Anti Fly 2+ and Dev Wounds, along with +1 to hit Fly units in melee. Crisis Suits? Riptides? Wraiths? Monolith? Half the Eldar Codex? Hits on 2's, Devs on 2's. Very easy to suddenly drop 14+ Wounds on a unit, from a unit that can move 20" a turn.
With Chaos cults there are a few interactions with astartes and vehicles, the the strat to divert all attacks to an astartes or vehicle to a nearby damned unit. Great for protecting your helbrute or vindicator from anti tank weapons :)
Be cool if Vashtorr is usable as I picked him up for free when that Dark Angels vs Chaos box came out and just flogged everything except Vashtorr cos he was a cool model.
Oh, he’s definitely usable. He got a few significant characteristic increases, such as his starting wounds, I believe his toughness went up,. He has one ranged weapon now, which I believe is basically a flamer that has anti-vehicle and I think it may have anti-fortification which is new. His hammer is now a lot more deadly especially when he’s hitting other vehicles. Any vehicles within six or 9 inches of his aura gain plus one strength which applies to both shooting and fighting. I believe he still has the ability to cause or force your opponents vehicles to make battle shock check with a minus one.
