    I've always played Jin and been wanting to learn a Mishima. Reina was fun but not completely for me, but Kazuya has come so natural. Thank you for this guide! This is all I needed, learned more than anyone talking about it. This is the perfect guide.

    This is such an awesome guide, exactly what I’ve been looking for. Presentation was brilliant with old cutscenes and his classic theme from T2.
    Clear notations and pros and cons of his playstyle and top moves. Perfect guide 10/10

      I think me and a lot of people would love a Jim guide just like this one (use his T3 theme!) but I also understand if you want to wait till launch as I can see d+2 and some of his other moves maybe being toned down. Then again he is the main protagonist and I think Bamco will want to keep him overpowered so new players can pick him up and enjoy the game, if anything I think Kazuya will see some buffs to his combo hit boxes

    • @Dianatroda
      @Dianatroda  7 місяців тому

      @@Swinhoegaming His T3 theme would be the best one to use wouldn't it? Yea I can see him getting toned down a bit so I just wanted to wait because at the moment he is very well rounded (Like to good) But I do agree that they will want him to be high enough up in the tier lists! I hope they give Kaz back his df+1 hit box from the alpha test!

    Thanks so much for this video! I just have a few questions as a beginner Kazuya player trying to understand why some options are used:
    - What is the reason to use b1,2 and 1+2 over just the standard 1,1,2? I get that they have very slightly longer range, but 1,1,2 is +20 on knockdown, while the other is only +9 and +13 respectively. Or is the closer distance afterwards more valuable for Okizeme than the + frames?
    - Why would one use df1,2 over db1,2? Both are Heat Engagers (+17) and +9 on Hit (No Heat), but db1,2 also gets a knockdown (No Heat), has longer range and is a Wall Break move. It just seems like it's straight up better?
    - Is df1,4 only worth using if have exhausted your Heat? It's +18 on hit, so seems better than both db1,2 and df1,2 who are +9 without Heat.

    • @Dianatroda
      @Dianatroda  6 місяців тому +1

      @ua-cam.com/users/Nordanix Glad you liked the video!
      - So b+1,2 has more damage and has better range than 1,1,2. There will be plenty of -11 moves and up where jabs won't reach and b+1,2 will. Them 7 points of damage might not seem like a lot but they are! 1,1,2 as you said leaves you at +20 so you will be able to get in quicker to the opponent on wake up to force a 50:50 or pressure them compared b+1,2 so out in the open if you want to continue pressuring then use 1,1,2! As for 1+2 it does have some use but personally I would stick to 1,1,2 and b+1,2 for punishing. It is 12 frame mid which can be useful in certain situations, I think it is a good mid to hit Ling out of her AOP stance a lot
      -df+1,2 can be used in combos to heat dash cancel if you need a little extra damage in a combo to end a round! df+,1,2 can also be used as a full launcher in heat if you cancel with heat dash (Very handy to launch punish moves if you aren't confident with electric yet!) I wouldn't use df+1,2 to launch punish any moves (unless Kaz is in heat as it is a full launcher then) I would used electric but that can be hard for newer players to launch punish with electric. I mainly just added it into the video as it is 15 frame punish but electric is his main launch punish move. So db+1,2 would be used as a 13 frame punish for -13 moves and it is a heat engager which will leave you in a favourable position on hit. It is also a good mid to use to punish a whiffed move by the opponent if it leaves them in a crouching position as b+1 is a high and so is 1,1.
      -I would only use df+1,4 in combos, again I just added in the video as it is a 15 frame punish but you would need to electric for -15!
      Hope this helps and let me know if you want any more clarification!

      @@Dianatroda This clears up all of my confusion then, really appreciate it! :)
      But just how essential is it for me to learn PEWGF for -13 to -15 moves as a beginner? Now I can do Electrics just fine in practice, but as block punish is another story. I understand that it's a huge difference in damage to get a full launch compared to just a basic punish, but is it worth my time practicing that right now as someone who has only played Kazuya for a few days? I'm currently only hovering between Dominator and Vanquisher ranks if that matters.

    • @Dianatroda
      @Dianatroda  6 місяців тому +1

      @@Nordanix Kazuya is one of the hardest characters to play in the game as he has no gimmicks and needs solid fundamentals to win! My advice to you would be to play away now and don't worry to much about block punishing with electric, you can focus on it a bit later once you have gotten a little bit more experience! In the long run with him you will need it but just focus on the basics with him for now using his punishers, whiff punishing with electric etc and learning as much match up knowledge against other characters to!

      Counter hit df+2 then input PEWGF. The notation for PEWGF is forward - neutral - downforward +2. Its a very hard thing to do with kazuya and takes a lot of practice so don't be to discouraged if you can't get it straight away!
