On the topic of wavedash pressure, I think that’s useful only after purple ranks. Lower than that I’ve noticed people will always mash on wakeup or if you pause the pressure at all in their face. For the lower ranks I recommend simplifying the strategy and just try to stay as plus as possible and frame trap
You just have to condition them. If you move scary enough and they get punished for mashing enough they'll respect it. Kinda hard to condition people in low ranks in only 2 or 3 games 😒 its possible though
You don't have to do many wavedash, if they're mashing, just do enough to close the distance and follow up with a fast move like ff2 to keep them from mashing. That will condition them to respect you on wakeup
Very well thought out video and neatly edited. I initially saw this videoa thumbnail and thought it would be kind of mediocre at best advice, but turned out to be very pleasantly surprised. It presents the tips in a very easy to follow manner while also explaining the thought process on why these techniques work and how they’re executed properly. Keep up the good work man you earned yourself a sub! ❤
This was such a beautiful guide. It was exactly what I needed to see to connect the dots in what I’ve noticed I’m not quite applying correctly. After 150 hours or so with kaz, I feel like I’m pretty proficient once I get a vortex going but struggle in keeping up pressure once it’s over. The advice on ws4 was particularly helpful cause that’s a move I’ve completely ignored/neglected.
Your content is too much underrated, you have a great execution on ps5 pad I have some questions to ask : • Do you often change the d-pad rubber playing Mishimas ? • How do you manage to execute fast Wavedash on both sides ? Do you rather roll your thumb or do you execute it moving your thumb trapezium ? • Can give us your Tekken ID ? besides the fact that you have a great execution your way of playing Mishima is quite optimal and i want to watch some of your games and take notes from these
Nah I keep the same dpad, I usually lubricate the dpad with oil to reduce the friction, it makes it a bit easier I tend to use the tip of my thumb when wavedashing and pretty much glide it through my dpad, same with ewgf. But I subconsciously switch methods dynamically And this is my Tekken ID - 4dfEHyj4jerG
I dont know if people know this but with wavedashing you can input one forward after the wavedash to get your 2/3 and also doing a wavedash into ws2 is a bit hard to execute, i didnt know this until my friend mentioned this to me, but really appreciate the video. i struggled a lot with knowing when to wavedash in since people tend to mash into my wavedash or even trying to close the gap so i gave up on that and also trying to understand when i can fit in a hellsweep after. often times enemies tend to wake up kick me and i end up getting hit by it a lot and dont know if its because im playing way too aggressive or i should wait for them to get up
I try do EGWF perfect uppercut lol unfortunately its the only move i will switch back to modern cause i know how important this move is for kazuya pressure game 😅
Just picked up Kazuya a couple weeks ago, got him at purple ranks so far. This is really what I needed to implement to the higher rank players as I progress Kaz. Thank you! Awesome vid
Watching this, your wavedash is incredible. I've played against Kazuyas who do all of these things, and always wanted to learn how. now all of it makes more sense but in order to reach this level i have to improve my wavedash first. I play on a stick, and my wavedash is okay on right side, and very inconsistent on left side; not to mention much slower compared to yours. Any ideas on how to train to improve it?
I would watch a guide on how to wave dash with a lever-less controller. They should be very similar. You may have to re-map some of your buttons for optimization.
@@DCSVolg Hey DCS I actually bought a leverless and I'm having a blast on it! My wavedash has improved dramatically. It turns out my big hands were just not getting any circulation playing on a keyboard. Many thanks though, anyways!!

Same, I have neglected ws4 and df4 a lot. 😅
very helpful, in tekken 7 I used to play Kazuya in a very turtle way and that doesn't work anymore so thank you bro
Glad I could help
Defensive kazuya works, but it’s very hard. Might aswell play aggressive because it requires less work
@@marbleeuw4284 Playing aggressive with kazuya requires more work
I am stuck on blue ranks and i can see myself aplying your tips and improving. Thank you for you time and dedication for this vídeo

When I wavedash in their face they just launch me lol
Because you don't make them respect your options. Use ff4 if you know they will interrupt you for a launch or do your mixup with immediate timing.
thanks brother because of you my kazuya got fixed and i got to tekken king now.
Awesome bro congrats on that
Nah this video had really great tips I was struggling on offense with Kaz ngl

Df4
Thanks for the vid.
great video! any tips for getting consistent with ws2 out of wavedashing on pad?

Careful with throwing out mix ups every time it’s your turn during poking. The moves are 20 frames to come out and linear as shit
Don’t do it everytime
I lose so much with Kazuya on ranked. And this ain't going to help cause I'm trash, but thanks. Can't even consistently wavedash yet

i don't understand the terms you're using like ch, ws 😢
Idl ch but ws is while standing
Ch = counterhit
Ws = while standing
I expect you play with a stick? I never see anyone do really good Mishima movement with a controller, is it expected?
