Allen, I wished I had seen this video before receiving my soil test results 2 weeks ago. I panicked and I’m still panicking. This is the first time I did a soil test. I finally gave in and did a soil test as I have several areas in my lawn where my Bermuda grass won’t grow no matter what I do. I’m glad I did the soil test as my soil is severely low on ALL 3 of the macronutrients and the micronutrients. I will be doing a soil test every year going forward.

Soil testing is very interesting. Useful if you want to maximize your investment in ferts and amendments. At the very least it provides some basis for selecting products. 👍
LCN & Ryan Knorr have convinced me to get my soil tested this year. I live in a suburb of Tulsa, OK with an OSU extension office 20 minutes from me. I called them to see how much they charge and it’s only $10 for up to 10 different soil samples. If you have such a service near you, couldn’t hurt to call to save yourself some money.
I’m waiting my results from YM. Last year I was under on all fronts. I followed the YM app and things ended up pretty good but I didn’t retest. Last week they came to aerate and my PLUGS ARE PURE CLAY 😭 we are NE Wyoming and very dry.
For me it was less panic but rather more intrigue. I was blown away when found out my zinc levels were more than 3x higher than the optimal. Gonna have lay off the biosolids for a few years.
So my local HD said they had 39 bags of Milorganite in stock. I went to pick up a few bags and they had the fake Sunniland product in the spot. No Milo 😕
Hey... the Sunniland works great. Can't find Milo around the Tampa-St. Pete area... so I've been using Sunniland, with good results. The lawn doesn't care.
Perfect timing! I just received my soil test results. Should I throw down my pre-emergent (Prodiamine) regardless of the soil test results? Those dandelion and crab grass invasions are real in Ohio. 😵😬
i wish you would promote a good soil lab, you need to evolve and try to keep your people happy. a new blood test needs a new type of logical nutrient regiments

When can I do the first soil test? During my dormant lawn or when it t starts to green?
if you can pull a core (ground is not frozen) then you can take a test. Cold, hot, wet, dry, doesn't matter.
