    Thanks for letting me know to wait 45 days. I am a beginner and was "advised" to put down some 15-5-10 on my st augustine to "wake it up" a few weeks ago.

      If you want to get some really good training that Allyn created, it's yardcarebootcamp.com and it's only $7 - use code 'UA-cam' for the discount. He walks you through literally everything you need to know about taking care of the lawn. Have a great season Jeremy!

    Been using these for a while. Love that you can get a graph of previous ones to see how things are trending. Is it possible to add CEC and Organic Material to these tests? I think these could be beneficial after talking to a few folks.

    • @yardmastery
      @yardmastery  7 місяців тому +2

      CEC is already included in the calculation because of the extraction method. That's why its so much easier - the results show what is actually available in the soil with no additional calculations needed. Here is more info: www.mysoiltesting.com/pages/technology

    You recommend 2 apps of preemergent in the spring but I did 2 apps late in the year at Thanksgiving and Christmas to try to control the damn Poa Annua that I am always dealing with. Can I get by with one app of Pre E in the spring?

    • @yardmastery
      @yardmastery  7 місяців тому

      if your primary concern is poa annua, then yes you can. Just keep in mind, crabgrass germinates in spring so if you skip the second app in spring, that may allow crabgrass to become a problem.

    NOWHERE on the packaging or instructions does it say you need to wait 45 days after fertilizing!🤯 Why? And please don’t tell me anything about having to read the app first! Cause there’s no indication for that either. ONLY to register the product 🙄. Just sent my sample in yesterday and fertilized 2 weeks ago. Now I’m concerned my results will be skewed. I’m definitely not paying for another kit! Please explain the rationale for that…

    • @yardmastery
      @yardmastery  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi there, sorry that was not communicated to you. Just send us a note through the system and we will get you another test sent out. yardmastery.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new the reason we want you to wait 45 days is so that any fert you have applied is gone and won't effect the results. Like I mentioned, just send us a note and we will get you a fresh/new test sent out. You can still get the results back from the one you sent in already and then compare.

    • @shantwhite1981

      @@yardmastery Thank you. I just submitted a ticket. I understand the reasoning behind the process. I just don’t understand why this information isn’t made available to consumers in the instruction literature that comes with the kit and/or the registration page of the app…? Just as there’s a huge QR code to scan, there should also be a “yield” indicator somewhere, at least.

      I've been using the products for 2 seasons. This will be the 3rd. I have the best lawn on my block by far, maybe even the whole county. People stop by my house when I'm working in the lawn to ask me what I'm using.
