Happy Thursday Mr. Prepared, first congratulations on reaching 86 Subscribers, a month a ago I was your newest subscriber at number 18 & you are now well on your way to your first 100 subscribers, well done & onward to 1,000 ! Next, the Pioneer X, I am a big fan of the Pioneer X & the Farmer X & include both in my EDC rotation. I have 6 Pioneer X's - 1 regular silver one, 2 of the 2021 Orange Limited Editions ( one for EDC & one as a collectable ) 1 of the 2022 Thunder Grey Limited Editions ( as a collectable ) & 2 Special Edition Wagner's for EDC - 1 red & 1 blue, which despite the designation special edition are simply colored Alox scaled models for EDC with a W ( for Wanger ) shield logo on them and are marketed by Wanger a German knife wholesaler, I bought my 2 on eBay from a German retailer. In the the US you can buy colored Alox scaled Pioneers, Pioneer X's & Farmer X's from a number of the larger US knife distributors & they have the scales marked with their brand. I have one regular silver Farmer X & 1 black Alox farmer X with the W ( Wanger ) brand marking bought on eBay in my EDC rotation. Whilst Victorinox only markets its Silver versions thru its outlets, Pioneers, PioneerX's & Farmer X's sold by the larger wholesalers come in red, green, blue & black & there are other colors available from specialist model sellers like Swiss Bianco & club editions in various colors. Like yourself I attach a paracord lanyard to some of my Pioneers or I use a Nitefox keychain micro flashlight with its small link chain & carabiner as a lanyard ( you will find Nitefox micro flashlights on Amazon ). Wishing you & family a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year, all the best, Steve in Tel Aviv.
Good to hear from you Steve. Six Pioneer X's,wow. That lets me know that you're a real knife person because I do the same thing when I really like a knife. You have a Merry Christmas as well.
After carrying a number of SAK's for 40+ years, , I decided to try an lox knife, which happened to be the Pioneer X. I really like everything about it except for one thing: the scales. I just don't care all that much for them. Even after a couple years of regular carry, the alox still feels a bit slippery in my hand. It's not terrible, but I prefer the celador scales
Welcome to the community, my fellow blade brethren 🔪 🗡 Cool video, I reviewed this puppy myself some months ago and completely agree 👌 Thanks for sharing buddy, Atb Gus 👍

My pioneer X is red. I really like it. The knife was very sharp right out of the box.
