Thank you for the video, it’s a great system many people have used for a long time and still use but don’t post it on UA-cam. I’m glad you did so new resellers can try it out. 👍
New to your channel and I see others have asked about your table and that was what I was going to ask about. Also would love to see you do a video on your photo taking process and far as measurements staging etc. I have a system but always like seeing others process too improve on mine. I'm looking to switch over but not liking the idea of going through all my inventory. Thanks for your videos... really enjoying them and learning alot.
Thank you for this! Very very helpful. I used to use totes for organizing and man…so many times I’m ripping apart totes trying to find some random shirt. Thanks again.
I've been waiying for this video. When I firsr saw your inventory system I wondered how you did it. I guessed that you condensed it down every once in a while to make room in the end boxes. I never liked using boxes because of humidity. Hard to control in regular storage units or small sheds. With what I am looking into getting, it will be cooled/heated in the appropriate season. Your boxes look about 12" tall x 10" wide x 24" long. Am I close to it. I can see how those boxes work best for clothing. Will you be doing a video on shipping? A bit confusing on how some are doing a mix of shipping, while othrr do it only one way, flat rate or calculated. Thanknyou fir the video, looking forward for more. Also, a Belated Congratulations on your marriage and have a total blast on your honeymoon. Till later.
Glad you enjoyed! We condense down typically every 3 months. The boxes are 30x8x8 and all the products I use have links in the description to the exact vendors I buy from! And yes! Once we get back from our trip I’ll be posting a seperate video for each process we have. De-tagging, photos, shipping, and more!
You answered my biggest concern at the end when you said that you did put a/c into the garage. Most clothes are fine without it, but some and especially shoes will go bad for sure.
Hi there, just got a new subscriber. I had a question though for your photo stand for clothing what material/fabrics are you using? I really like the way your photos come out. I would also love if you could do a video about your photo stands, I tried making my own, but I haven't found the right setup to keep me from making my back sore haha. Looking forward to more videos!
Awesome! It’s sherpa and when we get back from vacation in a week we will be making the video of the photo setups and how I made them! Thanks for subbing!
I guess he has! I’ve never really watched his stuff, but someone mentioned the system I have is the one he created so props to him! Thanks for watching
I was trying to figure out a system for my garage the other day. But it's way to hot out there. Then you mentioned you wouldn't recommend puttting bagged clothing in a humid climate like Dallas, Tx. Well damn. I'm just south of Ft. Worth. lol. I have to figure something else out. I definitely like this inventory system though. Thanks.
We’re in Dallas! Key is to insulate and AC control the garage if possible! It’s what we did and works great. Other option is to get an AC controlled storage unit. It made more sense in the long term though to pay for AC controlled garage instead of renting a storage unit so run those numbers!
@@kandmresell I agree, I'd rather avoid a storage unit. I think it's a better long term investment that'll save me money in the long run. Did you have it done or do it yourself?
Insulated all exterior walls, insulated attic above it, insulated garage door, and AC unit installed. That was all we did and I believe all you really need. Only thing I would change is getting a bigger AC unit on a dedicated 220v breaker switch as the current one is just on a dedicated 110v and it really isn’t enough to keep the garage super cool. It’s cold enough for inventory but not to do anything else in the garage without sweating. Temp sits around 80 degrees. I’d change it today, but we don’t have anymore room on our breaker panel to add another 15 amp line sadly.
Incase you are wondering as well, it costs around $1,500 total to do as it’s a 2 car garage. We did it ourselves as well so no labor included in that price.
Why not take the products out of the inventory bags and put the sold item into the shipping poly mailer that way you can continue to re-use the clear bags with the inventory# again.. that's what me and my gf do... an item sells.. we pull the item pull it out of the clear bag, put it into our colored poly mailer for shipping , I then have another box that put the clear bags In it.. then when I list another item I can take pictures and them bam put it back into the inventory rotation..
Thanks for the input! That process works, but the reason we do not do it is because it increases time and steps to the system. Nothing wrong with the process, we just try to do things as efficiently as possible! The other reason is because not all items are the same size as we sell in every men’s category. I can fit 30 polos in a box, but cannot fit 30 pair of pants. I’d be lucky to fit 15 in a box. So when we go to reuse the bags, sometimes the item wouldn’t fit and we would have to rebag it into another sku that would fit. Also, them being sealed in a zip lock reduces the chance of an item damaging in shipment if the poly bag ripped or it was raining that day, etc… Just my opinions though and people should do what works best for them! Thanks for watching!
My wife joined me 6 months ago full time so we were doing 40 items a day to get our actives up and scale. We have now pulled back to 32 items a day to focus on higher margin items! Thanks for watching!
I guess this is more of a shipping question…Do you ever take the item out of the clear poly to save on shipping when you are a fraction of an ounce over the lower price shipping tier? For example 8.123oz with both polys? Or would you just round up to the next pound?
Very helpful video, thanks for making it:) When you ship a single shirt, do you usps ground advantage? or Priority? Do you use their envelopes? I know if when I use ground advantage I have to use my own boxes. Also how do you ship your jackets/blazers and even the bigger winter jackets? Do you use ground advatage?
We only use ground advantage now! No more priority mail for us unless it’s cheaper to ship priority over advantage which is very rare. We also mail everything in poly bags. I just realized I don’t have the bags we use for blazers and coats linked in the description so I’ll add it now! They are 14.5x19 bags. Never needed anything bigger than that. Thanks for watching!
We used a normal printer until we could afford a rollo printer which are the most reliable imo. I would just upgrade when you’re able to afford it! It’s a huge upgrade in efficiency as well! I have the label printer we used linked in the description if you want to look into getting one and you can also buy used ones on eBay which we did when we bought our 2nd one for my wife.
but when you use poly bags I think you must only use the sticker labels correct? I can't tape my paper printed lable on a poly mailer can I?@@kandmresell
Yes you should be able to tape them onto poly bags! Just make sure to use clear tape and cover the entire label. I don’t see why it would be an issue at all until you get a label printer.
We ship the ziplock with the order! It’s more efficient for us to not reuse them, and we have peace of mind that the item is extra protected in shipping!
I’m trying to understand this system but still a bit confused about it. So let’s say you have a new box and list a bunch of new items, what number do you start that box on? It seems like you have to keep going up on numbers right? Like if your last listed item was 1,005 then the next would be 1,006 and up? So you never use an old number like number 5, you just keep going up after 1,006? Hopefully I didn’t confuse you now lol
Sorry for the confusion, still learning the flow of videos and stuff! What you said is exactly how it works though! Numbers just keep going up to where we’re in the 10,000+ now and they never get reused!

Yes we have on best offers and it works really well! I just auto decline anything asking 50% off and usually don’t go lower than 10% off an offer unless the item has been sitting for a long time.
Thanks, have a great trip. Do you reject a 20% off offer from a buyer? Just want to know when or how you decide decline or accept an offer? @@kandmresell
