For the sake of sound quality, the beginning of the song plays the "Iceland" Distorted Reality sample, or "heavenly choir" sound as I've heard described by some people- simultaneously on the right and left ears. This creates an illusive stereo-sound effect. The lead instrument also has about 7 different samples to stay more accurate to the original, but this takes up roughly the same amount of space as the "choir" sample. Now, if I actually had to put this on a SNES with a full game on it too, I would merge the 5th & 6th sound channel, and stick to 1 sample for the lead instrument. The sound quality would probably end up much worse, too.
Original soundtrack composed by Stewart Copeland, recreated in Furnace Tracker.
Original samples provided by the Spyro Soundfont Collection.

2024 was much better than I thought it would be 🙌 would love a playlist of these
Haha. I'm not sure how many more of these I'll do, but I made a playlist of all the songs so far. Feel free to put in a suggestion.
Can you "SNESified" "Buzz's Dungeon" from Spyro 3 ?
Hm, Spyro 3 uses many more samples in it's music. Your comment inspired me to make the intro, so it COULD work...
The thing is with my covers, I try to imagine it coming from a real game, so I need to leave at least 1 audio channel open for sound effects. No promises... it might be a little bit tough.
I MIX OF ZELDA AND SPYRO ALR BET !
