Nuno is one of the few guys who can do it all yet still sounds like only himself. He came about in a time when every guitar player was trying to sound like a combo of VH, Malmsteen, Vai ect. A time with many educated arpeggio kings and people trying to play as fast as they could. Nuno can do all of those things as well or better than the rest but still creates music and music that is originally his. Nuno is a freakin Gem of a guitar player and song writer.
In a world of cut and paste, Nuno revives true musicianship. Amazing talent and feel. Welcome back Nuno. Not that you ever left, but that you finally get the respect you have always deserved as one of the greats.
Nuno is a Virtuoso with no limits. The musical fire and "passion" in his soul is what keeps him looking so young. Nuno's rhythmic articulation is similar to what a killer drummer would play. Nuno's use of melody, harmony and modes transcends the listener with new and refreshing sounds. Nuno is a one-of-a-kind musician that is aging like a "fine wine".
I’ve played guitar for over 30 years and somehow I’ve never listened to nuno before. Who knows why or how. This was the best. Ever. It’s like David gilmour playing fast. I got all the feels. But I can’t play this fast!!! I can only listen….
I agree. I remember getting off the night bus a stop early from my bar job so I could extend the walk back to my college whilst listening to ‘Pornograffitti’ .....I was 20 years old then so watching him still do this now blows my mind.
Grew up as a drummer in bands when Extreme was one of my favorite bands. To this day...Pornograffiti is one of the guitar masterpiece albums of all time. Every second of Nuno's playing is exceptional. I've followed Nuno's brilliance ever since. Simply amazing work on everything, it's perfection. Speed, accuracy, phrasing, musicality, perfect 10.
There is only one nuno..great music sense, he always chooses the right notes and melody...easily one of the top 10 guitarists in the world.. No 2 for me after steve vai😌 I like nuno's rhythm more though Nuno is EXTREMELY underrated though See what i did there 😀

I can’t believe that I have known this guy’s playing for as long as I have. Seems like yesterday that I was riding around with my older brother in his Monte Carlo and blasting the pornograffiti album. We would cruise Elm street, Manchester, NH. Such a wonderful thing to live a life with great music.
I spent more than ten minutes thinking the right words to explain in a comment what Nuno's genius, talent, and creative expression mean to me, but I couldn't. Spending my whole life feeding on his music created something inside me that I can't explain; so I can only say: Thank you, Nuno.

I live up in the Northeast - near where Nuno grew up. He has impressed me since I first heard him play when I was 17. To this day, he and Eddie Van Halen are my favorite guitarists. And, all of his work is constantly still in m6 rotation of regular listens: Each of the Extreme albums, Nuno's solo record (Schizophonic), Population 1, Dramagods, Mourning Widows, etc. I am beyond geeked up for this new album to come out. I already pre-ordered it. And, I have listened to "Rise" countless times, already. It's a great time to be a fan of this type of rock music. May Nuno and the other members of Extreme continue to keep it alive! We need MORE!!!

First time I ever heard Midnight Express was at Donnington Monsters of Rock 94. I was 15 years old. My jaw dropped when I saw this. I eagerly anticipated the new Punchiline album to hear this genius again. Bought it first day it came into stores. Was and always will be inspired by this legend
That was simply awesome, thank you brother \m/ Quick story : back in 1992 I fell in love with a little red guitar, sitting in a dealers window. Bit over my budget but worked my 14 year old ass off and bought it, despite the fact that it had a name in the headstock of a dude I'd never heard before. 29 years forward, it's still my baby, best guitar I ever owned and they've been quite a few. So thank you for that man and thank you even more for everything you have done musicaly. Stay safe brother
