Guys! This is beautiful! I needed to hear this as I am dealing with loss, change, starting a new life after 32 years marriage. So I am mourning death of mom, and the end of my marriage. The loss of my daughters yet have support of 3 sons. It really went deep into my soul. When Im crying and cant function I play this song to help me to continue this new path! Thank you guys! Another perfect masterpiece by Extreme! ❤ to you all!

I took my 13 yr son to see Extreme woth Libing Colour in AC N.J. I heard this song for the first time at their soundcheck. I know Corey Glover as we had many mutual friends in the music busniess, performed together in studios on collaborations, built a friendship over the past 20 years. I met up with him by his tour bus, he was stoked to see how excited my son was for the show, he brougjt us backstage. We were invited into the room where Nuno was jamming a bit, he was really cool and madey sons day as he is his guitar idol. I asked him about that song as I told him it made me feel very emotional. He was very happy to hear that and told me that is their goal with everything they write, and that song was written by jim about a dear friend of his that passed in an accident before the covid thing. We spoke of how there is not much new music that makes one feel wmotions of any kind written anymore and how it is, in my words;"over processed cheese." It was a magical evening with my son. My son did get an autographed copy of the album and has been listening to it everyday since.

Fantastic band who cannot just play Heavy fast Rock and Roll but can also play mellow songs with emotion. Extreme rules.👏

I want to tell you THANK YOU for helping my students. I teach at a Community College (one of my classes was high school students taking college classes). When we returned from Thanksgiving break, I was notified that one of my students in that class was killed in a car accident (16 years old). When we returned to class, I had to inform everyone of the loss. From that day on, there was one empty seat (which was a daily reminder of our loss). My students had not experienced loss before (they are all 16) and sat there in utter shock. My heart broke for the loss of my student and for the 35 students sitting there not knowing what to think or what to do. I played Hurricane for them; we played it 3 times before we left that day. The song gave them solace and continues to give them solace as they continue to deal with the loss of a classmate and friend. I will be forever grateful to you Nuno, Gary, Pat, and Kevin for the comfort you gave my students through your music. I only wish I could thank you in person when I see you play in Austin in a couple of weeks. Thank you so very much for helping my students! (I have no clue if you will see this, but it was important for me to write this in the hope that you all know how much your music means to your fans and 35 high school students in my class.)

That final year, he was just waiting to die so he could be close to my mom again. This song perfectly illustrates the feelings he went through. Hurricane makes me think of loved ones who are gone and makes me measure detachment. We're still pretty small when practicing this. We didn't lose anyone... because nothing is ours. We are all conscience and it never perishes. It only changes dimension, but this remoteness that our eyes can't see, hurts us too much. This song has an exceptional beauty. It is said that in other, more evolved dimensions there is a much more beautiful sound than on earth. Hurricane should come from there.

This song put me to tears the first time I heard it, walking through the neighbourhood the morning of the release of "Six." I put my earbuds in and just went walking.
I remember exactly where I was when I first heard the line, "Is this the storm before the calm?" And the tears came. It just hit me with where I was at that moment (and, to some extent, still am). I wondered what people might think if they had been looking out their front windows to see some 49-year-old guy walking along and crying.
No other band has ever comes close to doing that to me the way Extreme has over the years (I doubt I'll ever get through "Everything Under the Sun" without getting emotional).
After all these decades, the band is simply part of my DNA anymore. I feel so incredibly grateful that they're still active and creating masterpieces like this ... and to see the appreciation and connection from so many other wonderful people like you. .

Oh man. I love my wife so much and I silently thank whoever grants me with the luck of having her by my side every night she comes home safe and happy. I can’t imagine what you were and probably still are going through but I am giving you all my warmest thoughts right now and hope you are okay. Reminds me to let us let the ones we love know that we do, every day we’re able to.❤

    Beautiful...🥺
I was just fine until Gary started to get emotional, then I was gone...😭
It's never easy losing a loved one... lost my older brother when I was 38, my Da when I was 43, baby brother when I was 48 and Mum when I was 55... they are with me always and pop into my head from time to time, often at the most impromptu moments... but that's family eh?...😏

It was like Nuno and Gary read my mind on this song, especially the title, because I lost my dad less than a month after Hurricane Harvey devastated his townhome in Ingleside, Texas on August 25, 2017, just 15 minutes south where they eye of the Hurricane made Landfall in Rockport, TX . My dad passed away on September 22nd from post-traumatic stress from the turtles pace that FEMA and his other insurance companies taking their time to give him the immediate help he needed. Just 5 days before he passed away when I last saw him he complained about the stresses that FEMA and State Farm was putting him through just to get the help that he needed. I told him not to stress because of his previous heart condition, he died at the age of 74 from a broken heart and a broken spirit. I honestly feel he would be here today if he didn't experience the after affects of a catastrophic event. To make matters worst, I lost my only brother to COVID 3 years later! Some friends have told me-- "We never get over losing a loved one, we just learn how to deal with it." GOD bless all of mankind and GOD bless EXTREME!!

I know we dont get to go through life without loss. Im sorry for your loss and pain, but this video is so powerful, and songs like Hurricane and Ghost help us to not feel as isolated and alone in our grief. The video is one of the most beautiful I've seen, and your harmonies feel nothing short of a miracle. I often cant listen to music when life is terrible... but songs like this help to heal. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for this video and this song 💜

I spun my heart back into time
a brand new day nothing to hide
god it feels like yesterday yeah
    Remember we’d be drinking wine
    talk and sing stopping time...
    we’d just melt away, ooh…
    I need a chance to re-connect
    I can’t pretend, even expect
will I ever be the same
Do I accept this as the end
    memories hanging by a thread
you’re calling out my name, ooh…
My heart is in a Hurricane
an eye of emptiness and pain
is this the storm before the calm… yeah
Where the moon spills through the trees
and the crow calls out to me
    In harmony to sing along
    ooh…
My heart is in a Hurricane
a gust of emptiness and pain
is this the storm before the calm
Where the moon spills through the trees
and the crow calls out to me
    In harmony to sing along

This is a gut wrenching song to anyone who has experienced loss. If you haven't or can't relate, consider yourself extremely lucky. We take for granted that the ones we love will always be around, but as we grow older we lose more and more. It was hard enough to listen to this song for me, but seeing the pain in Gary's eyes made me lose it. An amazingly beautiful song, emotional to watch. Love that Extreme is still grinding away making music that still affects me.
