Russ is amazing, and I've queued up his music on my Echo. But how in heck does Nuno just jump into a totally different genre and still come off as a master? Amazing piece of music!
Love especially the difference in style between you and Nuno. It's different but I think it makes for a really cool combination within one song... Loved how you could hear all the blues influences in Nunos last 2 seconds of playing :D Can't wait to watch more of your stuff.
Thank you for the kind words. It was interesting to see Nuno's approach to my style of Spanish/World/Latin/Flamenco music. I've never heard him play nylon string guitar, much less this type of music, but he nailed it and added another dimension to the song. I had no idea what he was going to play, but his musical instincts were spot on. He even recorded the palmas (hand clapping) on the second half of the solos and suggested the quarter note ride and cowbell throughout the song. I think you'll enjoy what Marty Friedman did on VIVIR LIBRE, to be released next week

Arabic rhythms. They went all the way deep deep into every possible subdivision. I was learning this many years ago. You can find rhythms from 1/1 to 35/32 and even more. As you say, so smooth you don't realize it! We should learn more from each other.
I know Nuno has a bunch of things in the works, so hopefully he'll be back out again soon. I was always a fan of his instrumentals so it was a great honor for him to play on one of mine.

Thank you, this song was put together really quick (unlike almost all of my other songs). It was the last track written for the upcoming CD. All I had at the time was the chorus chord progression when I played it for my producer. He suggested putting it in 7/8 instead of 4/4, and when I did, the song kind of wrote itself.
Just incredible. Had the most awful day but this left me elated and covered in goosebumps. How this never popped up on my stream before I have no idea. Bravo 🙌🏻

Thank you my brother! Now that the Marty single is out, I'll be releasing my fourth CD sometime in August. Most of my live stuff/playing is on my UA-cam channel. Between recordings I tend to get caught up in session work and gigs, and then I look up and it's been a couple of years between releasing my own music. I'm going to do my best and keep up the momentum I'm building and be more consistent with output. I've already been it talks with other rock guitarists who are interested in doing a track...
