I have my wife super excited about the Palisade. Been trying to get her to switch over to Hyundai/Kia for the last 7 or 8 years now. She almost went with the Stinger but changed her mind literally right before they started the paper work, and she had her heart set on getting back in a SUV. She really wants to get the new blazer since we loved the 2006 trail blazer we had. Even I have to admit that was a great vehicle. We traded it in with 76,000 miles and it drove almost like the day we drove off the lot when it had 11 miles. Traded it in for the 5.8 liter 2010 Ford Expedition. That vehicle cost about 10,000 more than the train blazer when they should have charged 30,000 dollars less than the Trail Blazer. Worse piece of crap I ever spent money on. This was a fully loaded Expedition and after about 27,000 miles you wouldn't know it. Even new off the lot I wasn't impressed with driving that junk. Nowhere near as comfortable as the trail blazer, nowhere near did it handle as good in poor condition roads as the trailblazer. And as I said, about 27,00 miles in the road noise started pretty noticeably, and not long after that it sounded like you were driving around without any doors on the vehicle. Took it back to Ford and when the test driver came back said to me what seems to be the problem. I said the problem is I bought a 50,000 dollar vehicle off you that brings in road noise and if I don't have any doors. I said the ride is super uncomfortable and it handles like shit in poor road conditions. He said well most of that is due to the big nubby tires you have on. I said they are the same tires I had when I bought it, the vehicle didn't sound that bad then. I said I wasn't crazy with the driving dynamics of the vehicle but she was happy the first year so I let it go. But you can't tell me that a fully loaded luxury SUV should give off that much road noise in the cabin. Anyways it got worse from there. By 35,000 miles big chunks of rust would fall from under the running boards when you close the doors. The doors would rattle as you drove, when you shut the door it sounded so cheap it was embarrassing. The entire brake system started to fail, whistling soon as you lightly tapped the breaks. When we went to trade the vehicle in after 3 years of Hell, the Nissan dealership offered us 6,200 which is laughable beings we owed closer to 20. Anyways after a couple of weeks we ended up with a better deal but still was plenty upside down. I couldn't bare seeing my wife having to keep driving around in that junk so we took the loss. I have been a loyal customer to Hyundai for many years and never had problems with my cars for a lot less money. I paid just shy of 45 for my 2015 Hyundai Genesis, a couple thousand less than what we bought a 2010 Expedition. Now I realize they are different, car and SUV. What they both were supposed to be though is luxury vehicles. Well I can promise you Hyundai accomplished that with the Genesis and Ford did not with that high end Expedition. My Genesis is so far superior to that piece of shit that even before the problems, getting in both vehicles brand new. In 1 hour of just sitting and driving around you will immediately think the Genesis cost 20 thousand more dollars than the all plastic materials Ford used
Bro if it wants to capture market it should be cheaper than fortuner, endeavour or else it will be out of the market. Car is awesome but Price will be the deciding factor
in us it is available for 34lac..if they could sell in India with the same price it will be big hit. Endeavour and Fortuner can't match with the interior quality and features with this one but I guess it is a petrol motor in us.

Got a Sonata, but this will possibly be my next Hyundai. I want a 3 row, I want most bang for the buck, and Hyundai/KIA does it. Of course I love the 7 seat high trim, with the Port-Wine stain seats. Hyundai did have that seat color in the pre 2016 Sonata, IIRC. It was not that common of a seat color, in the Sonata though.
I love my new Hyundai Santa Fe I bought a year ago. And now that we have The Chicago Auto Show here I'll be checking these out. Hyundai and Kia make amazing vehicles that look great and run great and won't break your bank and put you in the poor house. I will buy again.

They didn't show the heads up display, but I'm in love with the red leather which is the first I've seen in an SUV and this is the first SUV I've seen with ventilated second row seats and self leveling suspension and an intercom system to speak to rear seat passengers.

This Palisade and it's Kia sibling (Telluride) are not only beautiful, they beat every other midsize three row SUV on the market on Consumer Reports and pretty much every review out there. ON top of that Genesis/Hyundai/Kia continue to come in 1/2/3 on JD Power's Initial Quality Study. Then there is a cliff to #4.
I would assume that the 8 seat is available only on the lower trims. I make this assumption based on the segment norms, when the higher trims of the 3 row crossovers have second row captains chairs

This 8 seater seems like an entry-level version. I see its lack 360 degree camera and small multi-info screen. And no motorized third seat recliner.
I would assume that the 8 seat is available only on the lower trims. I make this assumption based on the segment norms, when the higher trims of the 3 row crossovers have second row captains chairs
@@baddriversofmontana8811 Actually they also have high trim level for 8 seaters variant for Korean market. I noticed the 7 seaters captain chair variant is exclusively high spec over there.
MS_ B I’m not very knowledgeable with the Korean market 😁 sounds plausible, I’m basing my statement on my overly simplified knowledge of the American market (in my opinion one of the worst auto markets in the world but eh)
@@baddriversofmontana8811 Wow seriously one of worst? On the contrary I thought America is the center of automotive market😎. Hyundai even designed the Palisade with 'American love big SUV' in mind. For Korea and rest of the world, this beast is mostly targeted for a niche market since Santa Fe is already in already considered huge!

This vehicle is simply awesome! Sure would suit my purposes. I can drive more than one person to hospital, (live in small town, and not everyone has vehicle.) And it would be good for the auctions. Real Nice!
