- Travel around the Bushland Loop and down the line to Mussel Pool on the 2ft gauge Bennett Brook Railway at Whiteman Park roughly 20km north east of Perth in Western Australia. The Bennett Brook Railway is run by the West Australian Light Rail Preservation Association (WALRPA) and is an impressive narrow gauge light railway that is well worth the visit. @BennettBrookRailway

I am currently halfway through one of your 4.5 hour epics (Southern Cross to Swan Hill), but am happy to take a little break to see more (Seymour?) of this lovely railway on the other side of the country. 😁 Life is good.

@@IanBrodie-bg1lu it was built as a tourist railway in the 1980's in Whiteman park. 👍😀
Love the sound of that horn! Is it a Leslie S3?
It is a big horn for a smaller locomotive 😄 I think it is a leslie S3. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Good to see semaphore signals and box controlled points being used. Is this a purpose built railway or has it been a part of a revenue railway?
It was purpose built in Whiteman park in the 1980's as a tourist railway. 👍😀
@@driver667 that is good news
@@archmcdonald6170 it is 👍😀
Purpose built though some of the infrastructure such as station buildings and signalling equipment came from the main WA rail network.
@@adamwatts2904 it's a nice little railway. 👍😀

Leslie RS3L HORN SHOW!!!!!!!😆😁😂😂😁😁 1:07 2:05 4:34 5:24 9:50

If it was a steam loco pulling the train it would be much more tourist orientated. A search of Australia should be made for small steam locomotive.
They also have steam locomotives. They run during the cooler months.👍😀
Fowler locomotive was it built by Fowler of Leeds isis sugar mill?
Yes, built in Leeds UK for the Isis Central Sugar Mill in QLD 👍😀
Fowler loco? Must've been built by *chickens!* Buk-buk-buk-bukaaaaaak! LOL😁
That joke is 'fowl' 🤣🤣👍
@@driver667 I just *plucked* it out of the air! 😄
