'railway archives' replayed old videos that were made by westrail. in one of them they were talking about the retirement of the x class, that thing behind the steam loco in your opening shot. the maintenance man didnt have a nice thing to say about it. the reporter asked him if there was anything good about it. he said no. ireland bought them too and promptly put emd gear into them.
