- This XJ came to us with a heavy rod knock, it sounded terrible as you can see in the video! But fear not as we are swapping a 4.5 Liter Stroked engine built by 505 Performance! We ran into a few issues but as always, we prevailed! Check this out and let us know what you think!

Would love to have heard a few more specs on intake, exhaust, throttle body size, ignition setup, etc????
These 4.0 motors are a real pain to work on. The manifold set up is a super pain in the butt. Lol. But you just can't beat how reliable they are. I love my jeep
Pros and cons as with anything, and you're absolutely right the 4.0 reliability is hard to beat!
Amen to that !!!!
Can't wait to put that kind of engine in my jeep wangler YJ 😁👍
Ah yes 505, some of the most expensive parts on the market and sending out bad heads on a built engine, amazing work on the engine and not letting a part defect stop you though!
I am surprise how that engine left the engine stand.. it definitely was not a small crack.
505 with Zach the hack built your engine ? Wouldn’t let them tune my weedwacker.
If it’s still running sell it now. It won’t run for long.
505 has done a wonderful job supplying other builders with engines to be rebuilt the right way.
I can’t seem to find anything but bad reviews on 505. Bummer was really digging this set up.
What was the overall result in horse power gains ? Was it noticably stronger and faster ? Then do you know the exact pacakage he had purchased from 505 ?
The engine had a slight increase in power you could feel, we don’t recall the exact package!
@@MountZionOffroad slight increase? I installed a 4.5 stroker in my YJ, 3.54 gears and there is no comparison to the 4.0HO stock performance. Huge difference everywhere. The bottom end torque is astounding.
That head was cracked when that plug was fitted. Its obvious.
skip the annoying music parts
What was wrong with the original engine?
It had a cracked head resulting in a rod knock
Okay, as an engine/transmission builder, it is inexcusable for 505 to send out a rebuilt, stroked engine with a cracked head. I don't care if a fork lift hit it. You uncrate it and check to see if it got damaged. I would be afraid to by anything from them. Nice job unfucking someone else's fuck up.
I would be careful giving this company money they don't contact you back I've been waiting for a month for a cabinet lifters and I haven't even got a phone call I've tried to call him for a month and can't get through
How much would it cost to do it to mine!? Lol
Shoot us an email and let us know what you want and we’ll get you a price!

Music sucked, good video otherwise.
