My Mom made this cake yrs ago, she is 68. Somehow we forgot about it, she used it more as a breakfast cake, but anyway you use it its delicious. Thanks for sharing. 👍❤️

Mom used to make this cake all the time!! Sadly she passed on in 2006 and we never found all her recipes 🥺 well you just showed me one thank you so much I cannot wait to make this! Have a beautiful day dear 💐

I have made this cake in the past and so did my mom. We never added white sugar to the cake batter. This cake has enough sugar in it so no more is needed. I would omit the white sugar and make the cake without it.

I bought this cake at the grocery store for a family reunion yesterday. I didn’t even know what it would taste like because I’d never heard of it. And I’m a child of the 70’s and my Mom made all the trendy desserts of the day. Thankfully this one didn’t have pecans in it. But it was so good. Gonna have to try this.

My mom used to make this cake when I was a kid and I still make it. The only difference I saw between our recipes is I put the pecans in the cake batter instead of the filling. Love your channel. Thank you so much.

There's something about a cinnamon cake. It's so familiar and comforting.
When I was making cakes to take to my medical appointments, I would take a different cake almost every time I went. Cinnamon was in the rotation, about every third cake. Everyone loves cinnamon!

I never heard you say to Carmelize the pecans. I make socket to me cakes all the time however, I don’t use the powdered sugar glaze on top. I like a chocolate icing and I use the Giardelli chocolate chips melt them and then glaze it that way. There’s just something about chocolate , cinnamon and pecans. Yum.

I dont have a bundt pan, or a tube pan, ( don't even know what that is) but i imagine it can be made in a regular cake pan, right?

That show started in 68 and ended in 73.
That phrase, “Sock it to me!” was made popular on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In tv show. It started in 1968 when I was 12. I believe Judy Carne was the “Sock It To Me “ girl. I remember they had a clip of Nixon saying “Sock it to ME?” on the show. Sounds like a delicious cake. 😍😍

Thank's the recipe of the delicious "Sock it to me" cake!😋 You know, I have some wonderful memories of making that easy yummy cake(like_ coffee cake), through the years, everyone loved it! I first was introduced to this popular cake in the 70's, when I was in my late 20's. I was disappointed when I could'nt find the recipe and could'nt see it on the back of the cake mix, like_ it used to be. So thank's to you, Catherine, I was delighted to see you making it! Love watching you and all your delicious recipes_ and it's cute when you and your husband enjoy tasting your finished masterpiece, lol!👌
