I'm of the age now that I need all the help that I can get in the kitchen now days! I'm disabled and can't quite maneuver around the house and kitchen like I used to! I've never used a stand mixer in my life! I used to have use a spoon as a child in our home! When I was grown, I bought my mother her first hand mixer, and since then that's all I've ever used! My mother used to say hard work hasn't ever killed anybody! If you want something work hard for it, and you will get it! Well I'm still working on getting me a stand mixer! I Love Your Channel! You remind me of my family! I'm from Texas born and bred!
That’s an amazing story. I can relate to using a spoon back in the day and things our mothers use to say. It brought back so many memories. My mother would say the exact same things. My daughters got me a new kitchen-aid mixer for my Christmas gift but so many memories are locked in the old one. It still works. I just wrapped it and stored it away. I will never get rid of it.🙂

I do really well with foods I like, but the ones I don't care for.... oh well..... the dilemma is that if I don't care for something then I don't know whether it's good or not when I cook it most of the time.

Hello best cook in the world.I used soda instead of powder.It sunk in the middle. It turned brown after about35 or 40 minutes .I had to come back n check out your channel again.Thanks
Keep that mixer! Don’t get the newer one you won’t be happy. You can rebuild that one they still make all the parts. My 40 yr old one burnt up in a wild fire that took my house. I bought a brand new one and took it back to the store after one use. I found a used one and put new grease and seals and replaced all the parts that it needed including the speed controller. It works great.
I was thinking about when it is no longer working I will still keep it. Just box it up an store it away. There is a lot of history with that mixer. I might even shed a few tears.

Where can you get a guard for mixer I have had my mixer about 3-4yrs didn't have a guard too expensive to try and buy a new one as it seems the new ones have the guards

Yes you do. I did show you the pan and the spray I used so the cake would release correctly. It was ‘Baker’s Joy.’

New machines are made with different metals than 40 years ago and wear down much faster. Save that dang mixer! Same for all appliances now days.
