I’m kinda pissed because I JUST ordered a new iPad mini which should arrive any day now. I returned the first one I bought because 65 gb is used up in a week. I upgraded to 260gb. 🤦🏽♀️🤭 (raising my hand high for the chance to win the giveaway 🙋🏽♀️😁😁*)
Still getting the new iPad even it costs more. Been waiting a long time for an upgrade. Would love the iPad Air you are giving in away too. Thanks for keeping us up to date .
I've been waiting to upgrade my gen 2 12.9 from 2017. I've used it every day since it launched. As a performing musician and teacher its the only size that works perfectly for sheet music. Time for a much overdo upgrade and splurge on the 13 inch iPad. Totally worth it, they retain their value so well over time.
I am definitely excited for Tuesday! I will be tuned in from the very beginning of the event. I’ve been saving my money and I am looking forward to the new iPad models! I’m definitely preparing for a price hike. The question is how much storage will be on the iPad Air? Will they increase the storage from 256 gigs to 512 on the iPad Air model?
Been waiting all winter for these new iPads. I’m looking for the smaller iPad Air to replace my 2017 10.5" iPad Pro that is slowing down charging and losing charge faster. The Air will do everything my 7 yo iPad Pro does, which is all I need. Don’t need the bells and whistles. Someone suggested I compare prices on the M1 Air and the M2/3 Air to see which is better for me and to see if I can get a good deal on the M1.
Going to be going to college soon and have been eyeing up the ipad pros as a replacement for my m1 pro macbook pro 14 that I have been meaning to upgrade. Such a great device, but I want an all in one solution, so hopefully apple releases a bettery keyboard for the ipad pro 13. If not, I might just stick with what I have and go for a base ipad and pencil, we will see.
I would say to either wait for m4 chips to buy one of those or wait for m4 so you can get an M1 Pro or m2 pro for even cheaper. There really isn’t that big of a difference between the M1 pro/m2 pro to the m3 pro, and the 16” M1 Pro is still technically better than base m3 in a lot of ways, although m3 base obviously has a much higher single core score than the m1/m2 chips If you specifically want an m3 because of the single core speed and the stuff like raytracing and dynamic cache, then yeh go for it, but if you just want a general computer that is better than what you have now, I recommend getting one of the older generations because even the base M1 Pro/m2 pro chip is still going to be wayyyyy more powerful than your 2017. Or even just the base m1/m2, they are still insanely powerful compared to 2017 If you’ve been getting along fine with a 2017, then even an M1 Pro will be overkill for your needs You can get the top spec, 16”, 10 core cpu/16core gpu, M1 Pro for $1000-$1100 right now. And you can get a 14” M1 Pro with top spec for less than that, and even less for a a 14” M1 Pro with the base pro chip that has slightly fewer cores. Those are available for like $700-$800. The m2 pro chip lineup is between $1100-$1600 depending on screen size, chip spec, and memory/storage configuration Unless you specifically want an m3 air or something, then yeh go for it after m4 launches.
@@rondobrondo I’m looking for the M3 to have a relevant machine in 5-7 years for my tasks (as I did in 2017) for my usual tasks. For sure AI will go deeper in Lightroom as actions and my actual laptop can’t handle it and since my kids are growing I need a machine to keep up with processing the photos and short family clips. As an example I’ve applied AI noise removal tool to some photos and the best time for the operation was 7 min per picture (ISO 12000). I’m not upgrading every year so M3 will be great. Looking on the numbers AIR could be a good choice. I totally agree with you, M1 or M2 machines are cheaper but none have wifi 6E and I need it.
I am a digital artist I used the 2018 ipad pro but I have 2 issues with the apple pencil 1 the wide plastic tip it covers the very narrow details in painting and the glossy slippery screen I hope they update a narrower tip and a matt screen especially now huwawei made this with cheaper tablets this year
iPad Pro 13. I have the mini 6 and it’s great, but since I’ve been taking engineering and calculus notes, felt like I’ve needed a lot more room. Considering the iPad Pro 12.9 is 40% bigger screen wise than the 11”, I’m gonna go with that. It’s also pretty much same size as a standard sheet of paper. Exciting upgrades, and going from lcd to dual stack oled will be amazing. Pretty much every display in my house (monitor, tv, phone) except my iPad and mbp M1 Pro are oled.
tryna get a new iPad Pro this year! need at least an m1 chip to run certain apps i use. just traded in my 2018 iPad pro with the a12x. since rumors point towards crazy prices, if the m2 iPad pro is still available i'll probs go for that!
I bought a new M2 iPad Pro 11” with apple care yesterday. After watching your videos and opinions on the upcoming iPads: I figured that buying an iPad Pro M2 now meant that I am guaranteed a mini led screen, good quality speakers, 120hz refresh rate and more for $800. I could have waited for the new iPad Pros but I’m sure the starting price for the OLEDs is going to be around $900-$1,100 USD and that’s just over my budget. I also think the new iPad Air M2 might not offer the same speed on the usb c port, speakers, refresh rate and the screen quality the current iPad Pro M2 offers because it’s an “Air” model. Even if Apple just rereleased/rebranded the iPad Pro M2 to an iPad Air M2 I feel the starting price might be somewhere around $600-$800 for the M2 iPad Air. This year the new iPad line up will be more expensive. $800 was personally the sweet spot for me and I am very happy with my purchase.
@@MrFeuerstachels Thank you for letting me know! I made a mistake. I really thought the iPad Pro 11 had the mini led too. Now I’m reconsidering my purchase. im probably going to get the airpods max as i feel like those are the only good looking headphones but im only going to buy the 1st gen if 2nd gen comes out this year
I am 100% getting the 2024 iPad Pro in the biggest size and largest configuration I can afford. M3 or M4 matters less than software support going forward - I want this to last me until the end of life. An updated Apple Pencil and updated Magic Keyboard is also on the docket, since I prefer to buy accessories in the same generation as the device for maximum compatibility. Gonna surprise my wife with an iPad Air or M2 Pro (cost depending) for her artistic endeavors, we got her an artist’s tablet for her desk but she prefers to art on the couch. Hopefully Blender gets either an iPadOS app or some sort of sideload, because she’s really wanting to get into modeling, but even if it doesn’t her computer can handle the mirroring pretty easily.
I’ll be following on Tuesday! My iPad needs an upgrade as does my MacBook. Hoping to purchase both in 2024 or 2025. The ring you also mentioned in another video would be on my list if it becomes available!
