Thanks, glad you found it helpful!👍🏼 Plans to post more videos of setup and flight controller configurations, in the future!😃 So stay tuned for more on this and other helis! 👍🏼
The flashing LED goes from yellow to green inside the canopy to indicate it has GPS connection and the remote has a timer to tell you how long your current session is. On the underside of the remote it has two buttons to reset the timers.
Awesome video my friend. Great information and great breakdown. My question is when you receive this helicopter do you have to do the spin calibration on this new version three I should be receiving mine in a couple of days. I haven’t seen any videos of no one talking about it. Thanks.
I would love to own this heli, it looks great - the 200 looks good also. It's just that bit too expensive and will leave me scraping in the dirt for food, electricity etc..........who knows I may take the plunge anyway.l
Your videography and enthusiasm is spectacular, congrats. Excellent introductory review, highlighting most of the fabulous positive attributes of this fine helicopter and emphasizing safety! I have 3 of these, 2 with add-on scale bodies but have left my v.3 just like you demonstrated today. The reason I left my v.3 "pod & boom" is because practicing more advanced flying SAFELY is a goal and this heli's new "altitude recovery" feature allows me to do this stress free. Let me briefly outline this new feature found in the latest version of the FlyWing software (version 2.0, downloadable from the FlyWing website): You can preset a desired altitude in the software where the heli AUTOMATICALLY switches back to GPS from 3D mode when you drop below this selected, preset altitude. In other words, I'm up trying some new maneuver in 3D mode (above 20' is my preset "safe" altitude barrier) and I make the inevitable screw up, lose orientation, my brain is mush and the beautiful green v.3 is about to make a huge, smoking hole in the desert.......but wait!!! As soon as the heli drops below 20', it AUTOMATICALLY switches to GPS mode and corrects, hands off, saving the aircraft. Extraordinary! Amazing! Us old guys have been waiting for this for years...(please emphasize this feature in your next FW450 review) Thanks.
Wow, thanks for your kind words! 😃👍🏼 Yes, this is a very feature packed Heli and thanks for pointing that out and taking the time to explain here! 🙂 I love the comment section because often times I forget to mention things in the videos that I intended to..😔 but my friends in the RC community help with sharing helpful tips and information! 😃👍🏼 I tried shooting a video that same day on the programming and flight configuration. But I hadn't realized that the Computer Programming relied on Internet, 😏 so it didn't make the cut in time for this posting but hope to post more in the future as I have time to edit and upload.🙂 But you are right, we have some amazing machines these days! 😯 I'm curious what scale bodies you have? 🤔 I'm working on some custom bodies(which I hope to share in the future) but I also like the ones that FlyWing has made available too! 👍🏼
@@HappyRCFlyer On my v.1 FW450, found a gorgeous “Hughes 500” body from an outfit in France. On my v.2, used the Huey body from Motion and it is a couple years old. Left my v.3 stock pod & boom to practice in 3D mode.
😐Absolutely, I had my safety/sunglasses but sadly they were on the top of my head more than over my eyes..😎. But that's a very good idea! God only gave us one set of eyes.. it would be easy for a splinter of carbon to go flying in the event of a crash. 😳😲😟
Very good point... 👍🏼 Thanks for the reminder! It's nice not to have a Battery compartment that limits the type of batteries user... but also a danger to make sure that batteries don't rub on spinning gears while in flight! 🤔 Just one of those "Be a Responsible Operator" things I guess! 😁
Thanks for stopping by! 😃 Yeah, this one is really simple to operate.. it's actually more difficult to remember the startup process than it is to fly! Lol! 😄 Would be really practical if it was possible to upload FlyWing Helis into RealFlight like the good old days when there was a website for RealFlight downloads. I really miss that. 😢
good video, im in. accu rc is a much better value. paid $50 on steam, bind my boxer right to it, off I go. Spectrum eco systems OK for surface vehicles but the worst for air, from RF to Blade and the radios are insanely overpriced, like asylum insane. Greed has driven many people out of the hobby, I for one am very glad to support the competition.
@@jgrc73 I have Realflight basically because they have the majority of the RC brands but I use my Radiomaster TX 16s MKII for the transmitter so it relates from sim to plane in the air seamlessly
Hey @Jeff, 😃 Thanks for tuning in to the channel! Here are a couple links 👇👇 for the 2 batteries I have in this video. (These are not affiliated links,🤑🚫 so I don't make any money when you use the link, but I've been really impressed with what I have bought (with my own money) from HeliDirect and their fast ship-out times! I have also flown this Heli on a Spektrum smart pack, 4cell 4000mah for longer flight times.. if you want to just hover around. Anything larger than a 2200 and you should pay close attention to making sure the battery isn't too close to the main hear. But for just hovering it's also less likely to rub the main gear as opposed to Inverted flight or 3D flying! 🙃 Anyways, hope they work as well for you as it has me and please consider Subscribing if you haven't already! 👍😃 Pulse 6-cell 2200mah 50c www.helidirect.com/products/pulse-2200mah-50c-22-2v-6s-lipo-battery-xt60-connector-1 Pulse 6-cell 1800mah 50c www.helidirect.com/products/pulse-1800mah-50c-22-2v-6s-lipo-battery-xt60-connector-1
Nice video very informative. I’m thinking about getting one of these, but I’m trying to see what is the biggest battery I can put in here. LxWxH thanks for this review.
Great question! 👍🏼 The body is removable in a sense, although the biggest challenge with fitting Helis with scale bodies...is the challenge of how to mount the tail rotor. 🤔 There may be some plans for some future videos on scale helis! 😁(*kinda excited*)
Flip the 2nd switch on the left, right of the Run switch on the TX, all the way to the back position. That's a 3-position switch for Normal mode (all the way back), Circle mode (in the middle) and Figure 8 mode (all the way forward).
@123 Good question, Check out 14:57 in the video. 👍🏼 It's all controlled by the same 3-position switch. Here are the modes per each position to toggle between. (Position-1) "Normal" Mode to Hover, (Position-2) "O"= Orbit Mode, (Position-3) "8"= Figure Eights Mode. Hope that makes more sense. 🤔 In the video I didn't explain till after I had started to demonstrate what it will do! 😁
@RC_Cowboy Thanks for helping to answer this question I missed till just now! 👍🏼 Do you have a FW450 as well? If so, what do you like about it the most?
@@HappyRCFlyer I do have the FW450 v3 and so far, I'm loving it. I was hoping to get the Air Wolf fuselage at some point but am waiting to see if the changes that Alishanmao suggested were going to be made. If you haven't seen his video, he says the mechanics wobble after a few flights so there should be more support (video explains). He also the tail boom was shortened about an inch from the original released fuselage with the cartoonish windows. I think the only other thing being recommended is to have retracting landing gear. Maybe also offer the weapon accessories. Thanks for your video. Those who are not familiar with the FW450 should now have a better understanding. It's a great heli for those of us who are getting back into the hobby but don't want to crash an expensive machine but just want to have fun.
Hello, I just watched your video and the content was good but you gave some wrong information on this helicopter. I will start with the battery placment, you did not check the cg of the helicopter after you installed the battery, second when you installed the blades you should of done the tension test to make sure they where not to tight, third when you plugged the battery in and picked the helicopter up and spun it thats a BIG BIG NO NO, once you plug in the battery you do noit touch it, you wait for the servos to cycle, then switch the radio to GPS mode and wait for the light to turn solid GREEN, once its Green then you can pick up the helicopter and you spin in a circle while looking at the light on the H1 aka"flight controller" and if it stays a solid Green then you are good to go. If it blinks then the compass needs to be calibrated via the software and then tested again once it's done. The only reason I came in here was your video was posted in The Offical Flywing Facebook group pages I am a admin on and there was question about your video. If you need any more information on the H1 please feel free to come to the group pages and join, i'm also the offical Flywing repair and H1 expert here in the US.
Hey Jeff, 😃 Great question! 👍🏼 In 16:15 I mentioned that you have to plug it in a computer and do some programming.. But I haven't had a chance to do a programming video yet(hopefully soon though). 😕 Please consider subscribeing if you haven't already... as I hope to cover that subject and some others in an upcoming video! Ps(It's just a bit too involved to share here in a comment, I don't think I could explain it well without visuals, otherwise I would just tell you here.)
Great flying and informative video new sub 👍🏼

De favor puedes repetir que pila estás usando? Entonces PULSE 6S en mi caso tengo unas 5000mAh 45C pueden funcionar sin problema
Hi what is that weird calibration you did at the beginning? YOu were in 3D mode, switched it on and rotated it? Where is that documented? Kind regards
