Excellent video. It's a great machine and so pleased you guys are offering it. For those interested, there are many flight features included in the software. Would really appreciate Mr. West making a video testing the new "altitude recovery" feature seen in the newest v.2.0 software upgrade: For us old guys who still want to improve and expand our 3D flying and still have an intact helicopter at the end of the day, this new upgrade allows us to set a pre-determined altitude whereby above, we can practice 3D but if we "screw the pooch", losing orientation (or whatever), when the FW450 drops below that preset altitude, it automatically switches back to GPS mode saving the machine from a crash. What a feature!!!
That’s a great idea, I’ve seen something’s on the new 2.0 firmware and definitely want to update and try it. I’ll make a video when I update it and explain how it works!
A great video! I bought one of the first of these when they were on pre-order. My dexterity is not what it used to be and this is a great answer to that. In fact I have a couple of the H1 Flight controllers I will put in some of my other heli's. The calibrating was a bit tricky on the early ones. I have my RadioMaster TX16S programmed to fly this, BTW.
I have this. And I like it decent price I got it for $636 with 2 batteries and quick connect for blades Only part that sucks was I had to use someone’s else computer to enable invert mode because who had a computer these dsys with phones lol
I wish that future was set from the factory, after flying it a few times and testing all the switches I realized it did not work. So going to update and try some new features.
@@westhobbiesrc8051100% kinda stupid it’s not in my opinion. I’m not master heli pilot I just enjoy going out and playing here and there. So for what I like to do I’ve been very happy with it.
Great video as always Jeff, looking forward to hopefully seeing more videos on this great heli. Would be great to know if it can be bound to a spektrum radio while maintaining all the great safety features such as return to home, the safe altitude feature etc
Thank you James, I appreciate that! Yes, I’ll definitely make more videos on this Heli. I’m 99% sure you can add a satellite or just Sbus to a Spektrum RX using a AR610 and set everything up just like the stock radio.
When i turn this heli on it start to wobble while sitting on the ground. Seems like it wants to take off automatically and maybe tip over while on idle. Any help on this?
there are an authorized US reseller for flywing which is a Chinese brand. You can order direct from fw or from helidirect, or elsewhere. People trying hard to bring toxicity this channel not gonna happen. Thanks Jeff West, I want one of these in orange.
When you lose GPS can switch to 3D to get control? My lost GPS and flown away to a tree lucky it stop about 2 feet away from the tree. So lucky a few seconds later I was able to get control back
That tail boom looks a bit cheesy, with the plug on it and that, and a tail motor on a heli that size, with no tail servo. What do I know, just looks a tad strange for a bird that size.

Great! Thanks. I've always had trouble downloading files off their website...hope it goes easier for you. @@westhobbiesrc8051
This heli is amazing for beginners
Can it do smack? The removable tail is cool, could make repairs quick.
It could but not a power house so you need collective management.
Love your video Jeff
Thank you! I appreciate that.

The tools that came with mine fit mothing on the heli lol. I upgraded the esc and flew almost every day up until winter.

Hi Jeff, Awesome….. I will look forward to seeing the future videos
Great video. Whats the battery flight time? How many minutes per battery?
Awsome video question is what’s the biggest battery I can put in this helicopter LxWxH thanks looking forward to batteries thanks.
V3 should have hard deck support but you may need to update the FC software.
Heli Direct has parts. No RID.
Yes, parts are available and no RID
Thanks for the video, does it have Return To Home (RTH) like the FW200?
When i turn this heli on it start to wobble while sitting on the ground. Seems like it wants to take off automatically and maybe tip over while on idle. Any help on this?
Will this Heli take off and land in GPS mode? For a very new beginner?
Yes I believe so
What’s the suggested timer (mins) for a full battery
This does not have RID, you will need a RID module.
If you fly where you need it then yes.
Does it have onboard remote ID?
It better not
No
How long is the flight time on 5000mah
Do you work for them or did you just make a video for them?
Yeah I was thinking that too

Hi can you fly 3d mode while GPS mode on
No it's crash time.

Lewis Sarah Hernandez Barbara Brown Kenneth
Clark Donald Jackson Brenda Hernandez Karen
90% of people don't buy these for 3D flight. Most of your videos are for well experienced pilots. You just need a few for the idiot beginner.
I hear you!:)
Remote ID? Any answer? Parts available or one crash and done?
No RID, and yes full part support.
