    Cool unboxing. I just got mine. Take note that a paraglider or paramotor wing is called a wing. It is not a 'chute or parachute.

      @MegaTestla; Hey, thanks for taking the time to drop a comment! 😃 I hope you'll consider Subscribing if you haven't already,👍🏼 I would like to hear how you like/dislike the new V2? You do make a valid point 👉 on the fact that it's referred to as a "wing" by professionals! 🫡 I often forget and use them interchangeably because it can look much like a skydiving parachute and just a motor added! *(although a closer look will reveal they are very different in many ways)*🤔 But on a lighter note...😁 Do you know the difference between a Paramotor and a Parachute? When the motor stops running, you'll just know!!! 😄😅🤣

    Can it be useful and functional to install a receiver with a 3-axis stabilizer on this type of model?

    • @HappyRCFlyer
      @HappyRCFlyer 3 дні тому

      @gianluca387 Great question! 👍🏼 It's actually not necessary to use any type of gyro, since these tend to have a self leveling/ pendulum effect! That's the simple answer but I'll be giving more explanation on this subject in upcoming Paramotor videos so I hope you'll subscribe and stay tuned! 👍🏼😃

    really cool boat, unfortunately i think for 449$ it should have been built better, and paying an additionnal 60$ pump is frustrating. I was hoping for a lot more water displacement from that pump (and they don't even include all the necessary tubing!) it had a lot of potential but unfortunatly not worth it brand new... used they would be great depending on the price cool video

    Right there with you on the cut string. I had a bad prop tangle that cut three strings. I found the matching thickness paracord in a multicolor pack so that I could maintain the right color cords. Fortunately all the damage was on one side, so had exemplars for length. It was a pain, but it can be done. If it happens to any of you, don't give up and don't just replace the wing. Fly on!

    It’s called an “affiliate” and most influencers will give an honest review, but provide a link “if” the viewer decides they do want one. It’s not biased in most cases, it’s just a way for influencers to make a couple of pennies…

    • @HappyRCFlyer
      @HappyRCFlyer 10 днів тому

      Hey, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to share your thoughts! 👍🏼😃 Hope you'll consider Subscribing if you like the Unsponsored Hobbiest perspective! Let me start by saying... I've looked into becoming an Influencer in the past...(prior to starting this Channel) but decided against it, (and I'll explain why in a bit). So in my humble opinion I feel like I would be pretty familiar with how "Influencers" operate. 😁 I was already offered the opportunity to participate in such and declined it... and it wasn't because they didn't offer money or benefits... but because I felt it would change how I enjoy RC and alter my perspective and goals in sharing videos on this channel. I'm not meaning to put anyone down who chooses that Pathway but rather point out that I feel it can have a negative affect on the hobby as a whole in some ways. - Influencers usually don't pay full price for the items they are "reviewing", which has a big impact on their personal perspective of the item. (They rarely if ever disclose how much it cost to them and most of the time they get it for free.)🤨 If an item is free to the "Influencer" but actully cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a viewer/Hobbiest who might only make $13.per hour washing dishes in a hot restaurant kitchen... Than it will most definitely will affect the perspective of the value of that item.🤔 -Actually most "Influencers" don't just make pennies from Affiliate Links.. they are in it for the money and pennies wouldn't be worth doing it.. It's usually more like hundreds or thousands per month. And that most definitely has a sway on whether or not they will encourage others to buy what they probably just got for free. Haha. Hence the name "Influencers" because their job/career is to influence other people to buy things that they themselves got for free or are just being paid to promote. 😄 In other words they are not just a normal consumer who sweat to earn the money to buy one or who has really used it like a normal consumer would. They are generally too busy to spend too much time on one item when there are lots more items to promote. 😕 -Most manufacturers will preview the "review video" before the "Influencer" is allowed to post it publicly... if something breaks or the manufacturer doesn't like what is shared in the video or said and the video isn't "Approved" by the manufacturers sales team.. than the "Influencer" has to re-shoot the video or get a new item shipped and try again. If you took the "free items" out of the equation and affiliate link/referral commission money... Most would not be interested in doing what they do. They do it for the money. Thats why we often say.. Follow The Money! 🤑 😄🤣. So yeah, there is definitely a difference with how two people view an item if one guy is paying full price and another guy is getting it free and than makes money for every person he convinces to buy one. 🤔 Anyways, please don't take it personally ☺️ And thanks for bringing up the subject so we could further explain, but I felt it was worth the explanation so folks can understand that I do indeed have some base for what I am saying and hopefully other Hobbiest will appreciate why I have chosen to keep my channel as The Hobbiest Perspective! 😎 Unsponsored=Unbiased! -Let's Go Fly! 😃👍🏼

      Hey, thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! 👋 I hope you'll consider Subscribing if you haven't already. 😃 While it might not be very "Scale Flying", you are right! 😁 It handles surprisingly well for being a scale plane! I was very impressed! Can't wait to do some evening flying with it, I do like about any plane with scale lighting! 👍🏼 Do you have the V1 or V2?

    • @looneytunes47

      @@HappyRCFlyer ive had the V-1 for 4 years and flew the wings off it and now have the V-2 and its been upgraded quite a bit but the propeller is a touch to small for my taste to get unlimited climb and hover

  • @snaggglepus
    @snaggglepus 21 день тому

    My V2 arrived a couple of days ago so not had a chance to give it a propper fly yet, only attempt the wind despite been low enough was a bit swirly and I'd not weighted the gondola up so it was only around 1.45kg so no solid opinions on flight yet. Hung up next to a V1 (ok v1.5, I had v1 and it was a very different animal to try and fly), the canopy its self looks to be identical to the V1 bar the new colours. I've not measured every rib, but the few I have are identicle between the 2 versions. New bridle looks to be the only difference. The thinner line should be less draggy which should be a nice improvement. Comparing line lenghs between the 2 versions (I've only compared the center rib and the brake roughly with an old tape mesure)it looks like they have lengthened the 'A' bridle a bit, which would explain the slightly easier canopy inflate. On the v1 the B,C and D lines were about the same length, on the v2 they get progressivly longer, lowering the angle of attack. This should help with wind penetration and flight speed but the trade off is lift. not a problem once its in the air, but its lost the slight lifting feeling I get on the v1 canopies just as you swing them up at launch that lets you know its good to go. Brake lines also seem to have been tweaked so they are action more on the tips and less on the trailing edge in comparison to the v1. I never had the v1 gondola so can't compare, but it would have been nice if the prop on the v2 had been a pusher so the motor could run in the right direction to not loosen prop adapter nut.

    Very interesting about the disagreement with the 'consultant' they went to, I see a relatively anonymous brag on their youtube channel about this which claims that the wing the V2 comes with is not as good as it could have been if they had been open to a better offer for that persons design, but thats all I have seen. It'll be ineresting to see, honestly, whether you feel the V2 wing is that much of an improvement. I can't see any physical differences in videos so far that would lead to radically better flyability in all but the calmest conditions and away from any obstructions that can generate turbulence as per the V1. Sure, having knots on the risers covered by heatshrink will result in less failed launches, but I feel people claiming it flies better once it's up there could just be a placebo. Could you include more of a detailed look at the characteristics of a paramotor wing and whether there are any key differences that aerodynamically would actually contribute to a better flying experience?

      Hey, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!😃 I hope you consider Subscribing if you haven't already, as there is significantly more Paramotor videos upcoming!😁 It's sad when the designer and vendor can't strike a deal and ultimately it's the RC Community that gets shortchanged.😢 I agree with you, that I haven't seen this as a significant "upgrade", but rather more of a response to the fact that people do indeed want a budget RC Paramotor that won't break the bank and still flies well! You pointed out some really great questions which I failed to discuss in this video (for the sake of time), but should be answered in upcoming videos to be posted! Stay tuned! 😃👍🏼

    Interesting. Thanks for putting this video together. Started messing with RC skydivers and then RC paramotors in the last few months. I would have purchased a HK V1, but couldn’t find one, even used. Instead I 3D printed a Tom Stanton design and a Chinese wing. Not much luck getting that to fly, so I bought a Hacker 1.5 backpack and the cheap wing still doesn’t work very well so I bit the bullet and ordered a Hacker 1.5 Cloud wing. The wing alone is $250. If it works, the HK V2 is a great value, but unless the wing is improved over the V1, they’ve changed nothing you couldn’t add yourself for $5 (LEDs). Pretty lame “upgrade” for the price increase. We’ll see if the Hacker set-up pays off. I get the wing this weekend. A comparison (build quality, features, and flying experience) would be a great video in this space!

      Hey, I'm sorry to hear of the hardship😢 but persistence is the mark of what it takes to be a true Paramotorist! (*I think I just made up a new word/name.*😅) Yes, let us know how you like the hacker wing! I agree about the "upgrades". Although I think it's a great buy, I don't see the need for all the hype... I'm glad they still produced one despite the Real V2 proposal not working out...but I always stand by honest as the best policy. 🤥 And thanks for sharing your thoughts, those are great video idea... @HappyRCFlyer 28 днів тому

      Hey, always glad to hear from you, my friend! 😃 Yes, so true! 👍🏼 Was talking with another friend the other day about this subject and he mentioned that it could also be due to a motor getting warm/hot and the glue melting... but labels are prone to come loose sooner or later. That's probably why some manufacturers just etch/engrave the motor info onto the metal bell housing and just can the idea of paper labels and glue. Leave it to Horizon Hobby to take the low road! 😅👍🏼

    Obviously, I don't throw myself into the air on my trike but you're exactly right in the commit aspect on launch. Put some lineholders on the cage and do some ground launches. I'd love to see one launch like the real deal! Just put something just above the centerline to hold the lines up and away you go.

      Hey, thanks for stopping by the channel! 😃 Hats off to guys who fly the real ones! 👏 I had started training and was about to place my order but felt from the Lord that I should delay just a bit... just two week later, I met my wife! 😍 Haha! Life changed course a bit... Though she HAS since agreed to fly with me if I were to get a two-seater Trike! 😯 So you never know what the future holds! 😅 To answer your question, I have tried for ground take-offs but no success yet. 🥲 In the stock set-up the cart just tips over backwards and doesn't pick the chute up off the ground. I have some ideas to make it work but no success just yet... maybe a future video idea!💡 Definitely have more upcoming R/C Paramotor Content though! 😃👍🏼

      @WebberAerialImaging 23 дні тому

      @@HappyRCFlyer You have to hold the lines up above the prop centerline. I do so with plastic clips affixed to the cage. Otherwise, the wing acts like an anchor, as you noted. 2 person flight is only legal for training purposes with an exemption certificate, on a paramotor. Powered parachutes can do it because they are able to get sport pilots license for those.

      @HappyRCFlyer 6 днів тому

      @StereodreieckRC ; I agree that its vital to either not pay ang attention to what "Influencers" say about the newest items that they themselves get sent to them for free... or just watch their videos if you only want to see what it looks like.🙄 Sadly most have a very biased perspective on things and never enough time or experience with the item to actually give much input on how it flies or how it holds up under normal consumer use. 😢 I'm sorry to hear you may have had a bad experience.😕 I would be happy to help you sort through some of the issues and give you a fighting chance at Paramotor Success! 🙂 If you are referring to this one (blue/white) as the V1, my personal experience has been great! I have more than one and love them, and a number of friends that get together and fly them! What a blast! I also have the newest v2 (green/white) as well as some friends. No one sent them for free, we all had to buy then at normal price. But I would say, a persons Paramotor experience will most likely be due to one of two things. 1-Good Weather Conditions, 2-Proper Setup/Turning of the strings, If you had a bad experience, feel free share what you didn't like about it or what went wrong. It can helps us all sort through issues and learn/Grow together and help each other! That's the cool part about the RC Community! 😃👍🏼

      @@HappyRCFlyer @HappyRCFlyer I have flown the HK V1 a couple times, our airfield is pretty favorable for planes (huge and very lightly sloping) but the V1 was never fun; the lines are super-stretchy and thick (a lot of drag), the wrong length, resulting in wingtips collapsing, sometimes at takeoff and when spiraling down (induced by the pilot), the foil can not recover from a full stall. Unfurtanely no Videoproof. Note: I have been an RC Pilot for over 10 years (my YT channel proves it) and have flown the Paramotor very little compared to other planes. The one time I had a good with the Paramotor (at least initially) was when it caught a thermal and induced a down spiral (it did not help), then a full stall (did not recover as a good foil should ) and crashed into a tree from 150metres, all in all, the only airplane ever I don't like and I do not recommend. On a positive note, the HK Cart/Gondoola is great. Last year I bought a Hacker Cloud 1.5 (which is a rebranded Paramotor, also available on Aliexpress). I love to fly this thing; better penetration, no tip stall, and recovers easily from a Fullstall, easy to launch, even flew it in the dark which is even more fun. You can find Videos about both Paramotors on my channel: H-King (PNF) High Performance Paramotor 2400mm (94") and Paramotor Hacker Cloud 1.5 Nachtflug I would not buy a Singlesking again, they are not versatile enough, unfortunately, Hybrid and Doubleskins are way more expensive.

      @HappyRCFlyer Місяць тому

      @zuidkb7312 Hey, Great question! 👍🏼 It's a yes and no answer! I hope you'll consider Subscribing if you haven't already! 😃 -On Takeoff- It's important to give it a good hand lunch, because if it doesn't have enough air speed on takeoff, it can/will roll &/or pitch bad and without the air-speed SAFE can offer no help! -In Normal Flight- When the plane is flying at speed I don't notice much torque because SAFE keeps it level with the horizon. I think the big issue with Torque Roll or Torque Turn is mostly on takeoffs/hand launch. Same with the V1200. *Future Videos coming on the V1200 as well.* 🙂 Anyways, hope that makes sense?
