I wanna fix the exalted deathbringer he first used he’s smaller than the blood warriors he’s a reaver so he’s about a head shorter than the blood warriors and blood warriors are about the same size as the current chaos space marines.
Some great ideas there and nice photoshop skills to show what you mean really help. I've got a couple of kitbash ideas that have been floating around my head for years now at this point. One for the Necrons and one for the Tau. So in my head the Necron kitbash is made up of a few pieces from a Tomb Blade, the seat shroud thing(I think it is part 5 on the sprue) and the 2 square thrusters. It also obviously contains parts from a destroyer, namely the top half. I'm envisioning using the seat shroud thing as large shoulder pads/cloak(mainly depending on how it fits together) for the immortal that makes up the top half of the destroyer. Then once those are fit together the thruster bits from the Tomb Blade can be attached to the back to make the whole thing some kind of Necron jet pack. The last bit would require some greenstuff modeling; extend the shoulder pad/cloak below his no longer existing hover board and make him look like a ghost/spectre with a giant gun for an arm. The Tau kitbash is easier to explain; I want to see a 4 legged battlesuit. There are 2 possibilities here, a "smaller" one using Ghostkeel and Hammerhead parts to make a counts as Hammerhead battlesuit, or going big and making the Stormsurge an actual steady weapons platform (its squatting pose and those stupid little stabilizer pistons on the back of its legs just look stupid to me).
there where once rules for Kroot with wings :D well the only conversion here i like is the Kroot, the Marine on Dracolion and the sisters. BUT think about the Tau they got a lot of Auxiliaries of different species, you can use Lizardmen and give them tau weapons instead of using fire warriors.
Winged Kroot were called culture kindred in the white dwarf Kroot army. There were also stalker kindreds (snipers) and trapper kindreds (who could literally place traps across the board before the game, and infiltrate). Tracker kindred was Kroot mounted on lesser gnarlocs, which could easily be replaced with dark ones (or whatever they've called the riding lizards lizardmen and cities of sigmar elves have)
I use AoS models for my C'Tan shards in my Necron army (Morathi stands in for the Void Dragon, Bloodwrack Medusa for my Deceiver, and Valkia the Bloody for my Nightbringer) but have done little to no conversions to the models. I have always been attracted to the Destroyer Cult so that is where I started. I am expanding by making my Immortals and Lords quadrupedal with legs similar to those on wraiths but scaled down. I will also be converting Immortals into Ophydian Destroyers and my Hexmark Destroyers, Skorpekh Destroyers, and Skorpekh Lord will be either quadrupedal or hexapedal. I have been using fan art .STLs to 3D print the pieced I have needed for these conversions. I loved your idea for winged Kroot and think you should build those.
I gotta say, I love the idea of Salamanders Marines using the Stormcast Dracolines. You could easily fill a squad with the Evocators on Dracolines kit. Or, if you're insane, use the Dracoths from the Dracothian Guard kit. But as someone looking to take the plunge into 40K with Salamanders, and a robust Stormcast Collection, I can't vote for anything else.
Flying kroot have existed in the lore for quite a while. They are called Vulture kroot and has rules in the 2004 kroot mercs codex that came out as part of chapter approved. I made mine out of chaos furies.
Great video and Ideas as always Jay! I've been using AOS Sequitors to create custom Rubric Marines, Evokers to kitbash Primaris sized Scarab Terminators and Kairic Acolytes with Goliath Ganger Heads to create Tzeentch Mad Max War Boys Cultists, all for my Thousand Sons Army giving it a more Space & Sorcery look as I don't like the Egyptian Style
I own orks nobz which are made from black orks (orruk ardboys), they are smaller than standart Nobz, but I so much love Black orks and kitbashing them is so lovely, even painting them. And in the end they dont look odd, just armored nobz which are not hard to kitbash, all I used is one box of Nobz, one box of ardboys and few bits from standart boyz, and I have 15 lovely nobz for smaller price (tbh I have 20, but I used normal nobz for other kitbashes, squad leader, etc...)
I really want to see gw do something like it, even if through fw, and see where they would go with it. Mostly as that means that they have fleshed out the salamanders more than the 3 or 4 unique units that exist currently (vulcan hestan, agrax, brayth and another I forget, though they did have a unique chaplain at one point and a deathwatch mini).
I used similar pieces to the kroot one in the thumbnail but a different direction. I've used sisters seraphim bodies with khinerai heads tails and wings, along with tszaangor chainswords to make csm "raptors" They look great, just you need to clip the peg for the backpack off and at angles; then sculpt over it once glued to secure the wings and tail in I've used a bit of daughters of khaine for corrupt sisters because I think they have enough of a chaotic flavour with the gargoyle masks to corrupt the original look
Also I don't know if everyone remembers but there was a meta a long while back for competitive 40k where sisters were souped with death korps of krieg death riders, so that might be a sort of funny throwback to that
ive kitbashed alot of stormcast into my bloodangels, doung basic headswaps and adding the backpacks they have some wonderful hammer models that proxy great as thunder hammers
I don’t know if I will ever do it but, I would love to create a beastmen/imperial guard conversion. Ungors for foot solider, Beastigors for captains etc, Minotaur for Olgryn. Call them ‘The Beastguard’ just think it would be a cool idea
The star wars zombie novel is Death Troopers! one of my favorites, Red Harvest is the prequel-sequel taking place during the early days of the sith, so sith zombies, still good!
I've used storm cast eternal for my sword Brethen to make them just a little bit bigger cooler with some Mark three helmets and chains they looked dope . I love your channel keep up the good work 🥷👍
You know perhaps the sisters of battle calvary could work as Seraphim or Zephyrim. The bases may not fit properly but it would give them the fast movement you’d expect from calvary
Years ago I started kitbashing my kroot into Vespid using nid Gargoyle wings, but like you said the connection points were less than ideal. I really like your idea for them!
I’ve always wanted to use Bonereaper parts in an Eldar conversion. They’d make for some awesome grimdark wraithbone armor I think. Before Genestealer Cults came back, I saw loads of people use Crypt Ghouls as the base for Genestealer Hybrids! They really look the part!
Great ideas! But for tyranide zombie i wuold use normal guardsman with zombie head, paint dead white eyes and use a little tyranide brain (the glands from the warrior kit) on their neck. Like a parasite controlling their dead body.
I really like the sisters of battle cavalry conversion. I've wanted to do something similar with white scars where instead of bikes they've returned to their roots of riding horses, and while space marines might be a bit too big for these elf horses I've contemplated using the admech horses; plus the turbo boost rule for the bikes would make more sense with mechanical horses.
Warning on the Daughters of Khaine Khinerai: the tails are absolutely not super strong connection points and are prone to snapping. Most of us make some sort of rocks or ruins for the lifetakers/heartrenders to land on or spring over like Drukhari Scourges do for a stronger connection and to hide a pin.
Among Age of Sigmar, I've seen people use some of the dead faction to create Thousand Sons daemon princes. But that got me thinking, and realized using a Curseling for one of the sorcerers or infernal master would be really cool. The original one seems to have good enough proportions to need just a new head and some minor details, but the current one gives the character a more dynamic pose, and although it'd require a lot more skill, I think it'd look pretty cool.
Funny, I was just thinking that the Necropolis Guard have a lot of similarities to the old 3e Tyrant Guards, wouldn't be a huge stretch. That suggestion of the Ghasts is brilliant. If you collect Nids, then you have dozens of extra Termagant weapons just lying around.
Personally I really like the salamander riding on a salamander, but you don't have to build that one, you have to build the sisters riding horses! The lumineth legs just match the sisters of battle armor way too well
The dracoline sculpts would require some heavy cutting, the Stormcast eternals kits with Dracolines have the legs sculpted into the dracoline body. Just a heads up for anyone looking to do that. Also if people like these sculpts I'd highly recommend trying out Age of Sigmar. Started playing it over 40k about a year ago and it's honestly a way better game IMO.
Yeah is a shame that the 3 dracoline box would require some cutting. For some reason the easy to build one does not so is fine if you only want one of them.
One of the bigger dracos might work for the captain or chapter master role perhaps, but very expensive and probably oversized compared with captain on bike.
The salamanders one is an excellent one. Not cheap though. £36 for outriders, but £26 per draconian kit. But would be epic. I think they may even be better run as bikers rather than outriders as you get much better weapons options. Wonder what could work as an attack bike sidecar...
Honestly I think the Bonereaper kits could work better for a drukhari/very specialized eldar army. Like picture the bone bois with some head swaps next to Maugan Ra or something. Take the meaning of "Wraithbone" more literally. I bet that would look great.
Kitbash tends towards expensive simply because of the need for multiple kits. However the more kitbashing you do, the cheaper some will get as you will start acquiring a lot of spare bits along the way.
This should be an ongoing concept, expand to other game lines as well for more ideas and then the the most popular idea from that video and create it for another
My favorite thing to do is to take first born space marine units and convert them into primaris or try to make a space wolf character out of special give away models

If you want to read about Necron Flayed Ones, read the Twice Dead King books
G.s.c. & skaven kill team. Use wormblde rules
I wanna fix the exalted deathbringer he first used he’s smaller than the blood warriors he’s a reaver so he’s about a head shorter than the blood warriors and blood warriors are about the same size as the current chaos space marines.
Hey - got a reply above, about 'being a winner' - it just doesn't seem legit?
So many great conversion ideas in there, I love the buff Khorne fella.
Thanks for featuring my Sororitas cavalry :) Such an honour :)
Those look so great! I’m definitely stealing that idea for my SoB!
Amazing conversions! Those look so perfect! I’d run them as zephyrim
I like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse colours for the horses
They are gorgeous !!!
They're fantastic dude
You should run a community poll and let us vote on which one we think you should do on camera!
Heroin
3:19 ah yes, the famous Black Templar Librarians...
I really like the idea of the salamander one to the point where i wanna create one for my alpha legion army
be careful, the account was only made a few weeks ago... and a few of us "won"
@@jasonsimmons4409 ty for letting me know
definitely the sisters of battle cavalry! they look so cool. i would love to see the conversion as a video
be careful, the account was only made a few weeks ago... and a few of us "won"
My entire Drukhari army is AoS models converted, mainly the Coven from OBR, funny for me to see you look at it for that like that
Where can I see this??!❤
@@Deeplandsgood question, ping me a way to contact you and I’ll whip some pics
That librarian would fit into Black Templars? I smell heresy!
That catapult looks like prime Tyranid conversion. Just need to add a small bit of carapace and a head.
I love the winged Kroot idea. Would make some great Vespids.
kroot: doing better at being vespids than actual vespids since 2022
The Salamander outrider one is so awesome would love to see that built up
The crypt ghoul Tyranid zombies is really cool! Super spooky for Halloween
Some great ideas there and nice photoshop skills to show what you mean really help. I've got a couple of kitbash ideas that have been floating around my head for years now at this point. One for the Necrons and one for the Tau.

Those sororitas cavalries are INCREDIBLE!
(Also, Daughters of Khaine Sisters of Slaughter as Sisters Repentia?)
be careful, the account was only made a few weeks ago... and a few of us "won"
The sisters on horses looked really good!
Been pondering Stormcast into Grey Knights for funsies and this gets the creative juices flowing.
Seen this done and it can work really well,
Saw a guy make a thunder warriors army with stormcast and kitbashed cadian helmets
All of my Flayed Ones are Nighthaunt Glaivewraiths, I think that's among the most common kitbashes and for good reason!
Jay said a year ago he has an interest in starting a Khahadron Overlords Army - I am still hoping for that *-*
there where once rules for Kroot with wings :D
well the only conversion here i like is the Kroot, the Marine on Dracolion and the sisters.
BUT think about the Tau they got a lot of Auxiliaries of different species, you can use Lizardmen and give them tau weapons instead of using fire warriors.
Using the AOS blood warriors I was able to create some really cool World Eaters Bezerkers!

Great video!!! I love the winged kroot idea! Doing the same video but the other way around would also be cool, fitting 40k models to be used in Aos.
Hey Jay I took your idea for the Salamanders on salamanders 😂😂 I’ve the first 2 built one more to go!
The flying kroot is the coolest idea for a flying model ever. Also this video has the greatest squarespace shill ever to exist in this universe!
My favorite kitbash that I did was Terraron Riders x Hellions with some craftworld bitz. Very nice Exodite Dragon Knights.
My favourite of your proposed kitbashes is the Salamander on dragoncat.
AoS wood elves into eldar expedites looks awesome. Tree lords into wraithlords etc
I enjoyed kitbashing my Beast Snaggas with Orruk bows and bone knives
I've always wanted to see an army of skaven ad-mec. I reckon space rats with big guns would look sick as
Love that yall always upload for like midnight nz time, so I always got something good to watch going to sleep 😂😂
10:12 nice one. Too bad, WE did not have a Lord on foot....thx GW
The knight relictor would look dope with Phobos librarian arms and head
I use AoS models for my C'Tan shards in my Necron army (Morathi stands in for the Void Dragon, Bloodwrack Medusa for my Deceiver, and Valkia the Bloody for my Nightbringer) but have done little to no conversions to the models. Great ideas for converting so many cool models! Will probably need to start a new army fully converted!!
be careful, the account was only made a few weeks ago... and a few of us "won"
That Stormcast conversion might be a good addition to your Chaplain collection, instead of making him a Librarian
Tyranid zombies is the best idea ever...I have to do this now. You're a genius.
The ghoul one gave me plenty of ideas for some spooky campaign for black crusade, death watch, dark heresy or just my own homebrew DnD campaign
I own orks nobz which are made from black orks (orruk ardboys), they are smaller than standart Nobz, but I so much love Black orks and kitbashing them is so lovely, even painting them. The AOS model you used for the necron conversion, it could also be an interesting Tyranid converision.
I actually gave some of my stormcast eternals some space marine helmets for a kit bash a few months ago!
the way he talked about why elfs can sometimes be boring is properly why most people think space marine's are boring
Hi Jay, I'm thinking of starting a sisters army so I absolutely love the Sororitas cavalry..
I really liked the salamander idea fits kinda well i think
In the old kroot mercenary army list there was an entry for winged kroot. I believe they were called vultures
ITs not just possible for Kroot to grow wings, they absolutely do and the Kroot think that the winged Kroothawk is like the PILLAR of evolution.
Your content always makes me smile:)
that stormcast would make an amazing chaplain too
The Winged Kroots look great and true to their lore, since they aquire the traits of what they consume.
I did a Kitbash out of a Exalted Deathbringer wit spear and an Agressor to create an Spacewolves Character.
Among Age of Sigmar, I've seen people use some of the dead faction to create Thousand Sons daemon princes. But that got me thinking, and realized using a Curseling for one of the sorcerers or infernal master would be really cool. Sisters of battle but instead of horse models do the kangaroos
My Slaanesh legionaries are AoS conversions, basically just Myrmidesh Painbringers with CSM weapons & power packs (to make it look like power armour).
I had the idea to do space marines on the Dracolites a while ago, they would look awesome
Sanguinary Guard kibashed with Stormcast Vindictors!! I´d love to see you give it a try!
Flesh-Eater Courts: Crypt Ghoulsl. Would be fun to see how you expand that nids idea on further units. And you did certainly inspire me to do a bash!
Jay ! I want you to build the Winged Kroots ! Kroots deserve more love from 40k !
Personally I really like the salamander riding on a salamander, but you don't have to build that one, you have to build the sisters riding horses! The lumineth legs just match the sisters of battle armor way too well
The zombies could be enslavers xenos which would be interesting new army for 40k
I would love to see ALL of these kitbashes realized in a mini series, but I would choose either the Chaos Lord or the Necron one first
I wanna see a storm cast storm seer! (White scars librarian) that would be a sweet model.
I've seen the outriders idea being applied to dark angels as Calibanite lions
I’ve been looking for the perfect model to use as a firedrake for my salamanders, and the Dracoline looks amazing.
One of the bigger dracos might work for the captain or chapter master role perhaps, but very expensive and probably oversized compared with captain on bike.
Great ideas Jay, curious on your take, what you would proxy for the new Dark commune, many possible conversions
I make a stormcast, grey knight army :) using the stormcast bodies with the arms, helms, shoulders and backpacks of the grey knight's.
i didnt know you where doing a contest?
The salamanders one is an excellent one. Not cheap though. £36 for outriders, but £26 per draconian kit. But would be epic. I think they may even be better run as bikers rather than outriders as you get much better weapons options. Wonder what could work as an attack bike sidecar...
I think you should go all in on the boner boys/necron conversion (you could try and turn the four armed skelies into destroyer proxies as well)
I absolutely love the storm cast librarian. It's such a seamless build, it looks so good
Honestly I think the Bonereaper kits could work better for a drukhari/very specialized eldar army. Like picture the bone bois with some head swaps next to Maugan Ra or something. Take the meaning of "Wraithbone" more literally. I bet that would look great.
the librarian has some major coolness, but damn that would be expensive ... what I'd really like to see is the Krootespid!
Kitbash tends towards expensive simply because of the need for multiple kits. However the more kitbashing you do, the cheaper some will get as you will start acquiring a lot of spare bits along the way.
This should be an ongoing concept, expand to other game lines as well for more ideas and then the the most popular idea from that video and create it for another
I think it would be really cool to kit bash and mix the Kharadron Overlords from Age of Sigmar with the Leagues of Votann in some way shape or form.
Hexagons are the bestagons
The flying kroot looks exactly like the winged kroot in official art, so your conversion isn't just plausible it's flat out canon.
For the Leagues of Votann, are the Kharadron Overlords, perfekt to kitbash ^^
My favorite thing to do is to take first born space marine units and convert them into primaris or try to make a space wolf character out of special give away models
Love your content, and I can't wait to see you make the Necron doom cannon.
