We’re Thomas and Sheena, food and travel fiends. We travel full time, hunting for the BEST local food in the world to showcase via our UA-cam videos. Food is a window into a country's culture and one of the most exciting ways to get to know a place.
We're all about eating what and where the locals eat. You won't find food that's been created merely to be social media worthy on here- no rainbow bagels, gold leaf soft serves- just honest food that tastes incredible.
From street food to mom and pop restaurants, we want to show you the best food we find on our travels.

@@moragodofthunder Have an amazing time mate! Eat ALL the things!!
Hi Thomas/Sheena, honestly, I enjoy all yr vdos. Doesn't matter where you go, it's always great content of food and travel that is well produced. How are you feeling, Sheena, any morning sickness or food cravings? 😊💕🙏
Thank you so much for your generous words Minnie C. 😍 I’m feeling great now I’m in the second trimester! I did have morning sickness right through the first trimester and the only thing that would alleviate it was food! I massively craved oranges and marmite so pretty healthy in general 😆 Im really enjoying being preggers 😍 Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate Very happy to hear all is good! 💕🙏
Mouth watering yet again.
Momo taro is actually a very famous Japanese fable alittle too long to explain but is knowen by every Japanese.
I love onigiri..It's not common here in Perth but when I find an outlet...Yum
The seaweed used on the onigiri is top quality something not usually seen outside of Japan due to it's expence.
There is no comparason with high quality seaweed.
Loving the Japan vlogs
Hope you both enjoying your new home?
Ogenki de...
I’ll have to look up the fable Tavita! It was honestly a cut above that seaweed- they source it especially and you could taste that it was special. Thanks for watching this one mate. And thank you for asking- we are loving our new place- it’s been awesome to have the summer here 😍 Cheers, Sheena
👍
Интересно
Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Chandra! Cheers, Sheena
Is the Whale festival still going? After whale harvest, they have a festival showcasing EVERYTHING whale is made from. Whale ice cream, whale skewers, whale soap, whale gloves, etc…. It sounds amazing and full of ancient culture
Wouldn’t have a clue sorry Bill, not something we’d be into. Thanks for watching this one, hope you enjoyed it. Cheers, Sheena
Some call individual style taiyaki as wild while they do multi one as farm-raised.
Hahaha love that! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena
Would you mention the hotel you stayed?
Hi Jenny, we stayed in an airbnb 😄 tends to work better for us as we stay in places for a long time. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
Beautiful Asakusa... ❤️... But they don't have Serbian cevapi.. 😪😪😪
😝😝😝 unfortunately not! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena
Are you Japanese Sheena?
Chinese mate 😄 Learnt a little bit of Japanese in high school which is helpful when we’re in Japan! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena
Unfortunately, eating out in Japan is not what it used to be. Quality has gone down but prices have just kept on going up. And Asakusa, particularly Hoppi Dori (ホッピー通り), has turned into a tourist trap.
Asakusa is very popular with visitors isn’t it?! We do love how it’s still easy to find great quality food for good prices though- coming from NZ we ate so well for much less than what we pay here. Thanks for watching mate, hope you enjoy the rest of the series. Cheers, Sheena
LOL Asakusa has been a tourist destination "trap" before foreign tourists were even allowed in the country
@@kidanaoki1947 True enough, and that's precisely what I meant, at least since I first visited 20 years ago😅
@@saboruchan wait I'm talking foreign tourists not from covid but from sakoku lol
@@kidanaoki1947 Yeah, well, I guess you mean a little further north of Asakusa, in that case you are probably right.
旦那 クソ不味いもん deliciousだって笑
All of it was delicious! Thank you for watching 😄 Cheers, Sheena
Haha really "japanese". That statement made me remember when I first moved to America surrounded by white people saying uncomfortable things
😝😝😝 this was said with no intention to offend at all so hope no one was! Thanks for watching and commenting mate, hope you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Sheena
👍
Thanks for watching Michael! Have a great week mate. Cheers, Sheena
