If you are going to eat takoyaki and don't want to burn your mouth, either waiti a few minutes for it to cool down, or at least poke into it and let the steam release for about 30 seconds. It goes a long way. Or if you are in Osaka and you prefer the salted versions, you can also roll it in some yogurt for a coating that cools it down quickly and give a nice sweet counter taste to work with.
I always love seeing Chris and Emma doing fun things like this! I would love to see more of this series of exploring places around Japan - both known and lesser known, finding good spots to eat, relaxing places to rest and the most bizzare things out there. I would for sure like to get some Takoyaki, those street vendor stalls always look so incredible.

A young australian couple ask me to make a picture of them in front of this statue behind the both in the openening scene, my first onomiyaki there, my first oden... Ah, great memorys... Visited Japan in 2019 and stayed right off the park in Ueno. I think Ueno is a little bit of a unknown gem. Lots of museums. One stop north of the big Tokyo train station.
