Agree. They are almost similar to art style as well. Contest of Champions has over 200 characters so if they want to add characters that are not popular that will translate well in a marvel vs Capcom game and they need the modern designs, it's right there.
Man check out the modding scene for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1! They put in so many Marvel characters that they ran out and started adding DC characters

I just hope the roster is not copy paste anymore. Personally I don't mind if they want to focus on "MCU" character for Marvel side, but do it correctly, don't lock them behind DLC. No X-Men character is one thing, but lock Black Panther, Winter Soldier and Black Widow is bad move. The sold us legit new character as DLC while copy paste most of MVC3 roster to the base MVCI roster. They could give us Drax, Groot (with Rocket assist), Daredevil, Loki, Antman, Scarlet Witch, Red Skull, Shang-Chi and many other MCU character. Hell I think putting Mr. Negative will be cool too due to the PS4 Spiderman make this character recognizable now. As for Capcom side, obviously we need Leon, Nero, Samanosuke, Asura, Rashid, Demitri, and many more Capcom character who never make it to MVC before.

Seeing Rasheed with the UMVC3 shader was different.
It was great seeing Cyclops in motion. I had seen the model on Twitter but seeing it animated was impressive.
I have two hopes for this.
1. We get an extension for the character select so these are just new characters on the roster that don’t replace anybody else.
2. It’s probably impossible due to body morphing stuff, but I want Amingo in this game so darn bad. He hasn’t had a 3D model ever, and his minions haven’t either, but if somebody were to make it, I think it could go over Tron Bonne. I mean, the mech is close enough if you just take Tron out of it, and the servbots could be replaced with the little plant guys. I just want Amingo back, even if the moveset doesn’t perfectly match.
It’s a lot to hope for, but I hope that someday this game reaches Brawl modding status, and I hope that it will be absolutely glorious.

I really would love to see Blade someday. He's one of my favorite Marvel characters and Ik he's in Jill's arcade ending so again, would love to see him someday. But besides that, THIS LOOKS AWESOME AF!!!

What I want isn't even a character. I just what that poster in the back of that stage with 'slain' and 'apprehended', to slowly, as they are made just challenge to saying 'in', 'coming' or 'preparing'. Just to show the fandoms resistance.
In terms of new characters to see, I'd love to see Blade (Marvel), Lady (Capcom, Devil May Cry) and Gene (Capcom, God Hand).

They should. Was possible with Mugen. Don't know if it's locked. Or what limitations are setbin the base game code. Hopefully they could increase the grid with slightly smaller images etc.

Since when does Disney not let Capcom make a game? Maybe its the more likely scenario that Capcom just currently doesn't want to, OR doesn't want to dead with Marvel.....Its not at all an easy process to make a MvC game...
They have to send Marvel the list of characters they want to use wait for that list to be approved. Then make any changes they flat out say no to. OR use any Marvel mandated characters.
Then Capcom has to completely design the character, completely design the moves, completely design the supers and then sent it to Marvel for approval, wait for their response and make any changes that Marvel asks for....
Once the game is released IF there is anything they want to change or anything they need to balance with a patch, they have to actually get Marvel's approval to make any changes to the characters.
Infinite turned out like it did because of Marvel mandates and their desire to make it a commercial for the MCU. Maybe that just something that Capcom isn't in any major hurry to do again.

Nobody ever said Disney will not let Capcom make MVC, the reason why it's probably not gonna happen is because of the dumpster fire that is MVCI. If anything Disney would probably look at Capcom's history, see that they brought marvel to life in a way not seem before, and say "eh fuck it"

I've waited years to see this kind of modding done to UMVC3! For the longest time, all I've ever seen were texture recolors, but recently, there has been actual moveset customization, and now there are entire models imported from other sources! Also, as someone who really enjoyed MUA3, I've always imagined that it would be a perfect source for models to use in UMVC3 mods, whenever the modding community could properly import them. I can't wait to see what kind of crazy things will pop up in the future

Juri, Like how C.Viper was, would be a fantastic choice. I think there is plenty to enplore for her playstyle and such

If we're doing MUA3 models I imagine Colossus has to be really easy to add. Since we've got Rashid and Urien I'm curious how far away Gill is - but I guess his fire and ice effects might be an issue

Dante and Amateratsu have fire and ice too, so they could use those three for attack properties. All they need is a good animations for his moves.
And if he has resurrection, they could use Dark Phoenix awakening (maybe)
The only problem I see with Gill is that Marvel 3 doesn't have as many buttons as SFV to dance around his asymmetrical nature, but that's probably just a matter of proper coding.

This reminds me a lot of when Smash fans modded Brawl into Project M. They included new characters as different palettes at first, then with their own unique visuals.

Honestly, this is amazing, all these cool mods really shows the dedication of this community, and i hope it lasts for a very long time. LONG LIVE MARVEL 3!!!
Some of the characters I would like to see are: Hayato, Ruby Heart, Rogue, Cable, Sakura, Black Heart, Leon S. Kennedy, Ultron, Venom, Guile, Iceman, Cody Travers, Silver Samurai, and etc. It would be awesome to see them in the game.
The one thing I’m worried about are these new characters being super extremely OP, like above Vergil and zero. Some of the damage and amount they can combo is a bit ridiculous so I hope they can balance them a bit better

That nice detail of Cyclops removing his visor to do his lvl3 is awesome and that Rashid is impressive.
At the beggining , i didn´t expect that the modding community for umvc3 went that far for the game since the very few mods i saw weren´t that impressive before , but now, with all these new stuff coming has showed me that people really care and more can be done for this game.
If i wanted a character for modders to bring to the game , that would be Charlie from SF and Ruby Heart from MVC2.
Wasn’t too big on this art style at first but I love the amount of love this game still gets and it’s really grown on me.
So great to see MVC3 back in the spotlight after so long. The FGC isn’t the same without Mahvel.

3:06 As for Jin's BLOODIA PUNCH, they could start looking at Phoenix Wright's "ORDER IN THE COURT" super, where the judge smacks everyone with a hammer. The main differences are that the hammer comes from above instead of from the side and that it also hits Phoenix (harmlessly but still) where as Jin commands the mech by twrowing a punch as well.
It at least looks _plausible._ The main problem would be getting a Bloodia 3D model for the arm, the side when doing the gun super, and the cockpit.

I’ve seen that they have a “STARS Jill” but she’s not really MVC2 Jill. I want to see her have the weird zombie crap that she had in MVC2. They could use the zombie models that Frank West uses and maybe find a way to turn Strider’s dogs and birds into zombie dogs and crows.

Now I'm wondering if someone could mod in Rajang with the Hulk as a base. The idea of a Monster Hunter character before the Monster Hunter MvCI was already an interesting concept, but a playable Monster would've been really cool.
I would love to see a custom Cable mod. Hardest part would probably be getting the Hyper Viper Cannon a model, but it could work eventually

This is becoming everything I wanted MVC to be. Never thought it'd come in the form of mods but beautiful to see nonetheless. Take notes, Capcom. Y'all have the power to please the fans so take a look in this direction again and away from street fighter for just a damn minute.
Ummm they can do anything they want with or to Street Fighter and don't actually have to take any extra steps to do those things.....When it involves any urge to do a MvC game it adds about 25 extra steps that all need to be not only done, but approved and or redone or approved etc. that it might just not be worth it to them.

In the name of MVC and all the fans and legacy a name like this title brings after all these years, you're telling me that it might not be worth it? Winning these battles such as working the ins and outs of getting the license situations handled would only be matching the passion that the fans show. Match that energy and good things will happen. It's so surreal to see this game essentially getting new content even almost 2 decades later. This was the first fighting game to catch my attention and it's amazing to me that it's still beloved even now
I can still hope for War Machine and Captain Commando in UMVC3. Especially in War Machine’s case, they can give him a Deadpool gun projectiles replacing Unibeam, A super armor tackle resembling his MVC1 grab. As for supers he could have Rocket Racoon’s Lvl 1 retooled for Rhodey’s mini gun, Hidden Missile Lvl 1 retooled as War Destroyer, proton canon retooled with Morigan’s level 1 Missiles

For there to be a real "Mugen 3D", you need to be able to make a character entirely form scratch, not just retool old moves, even if you can overlay a new character model. But that might not be too hard to do. Just create a general fighting engine and us a good, fairly common render engine, like Unreal 5, Unity, or Godot to name a few.. That would be the ultimate goal for a "Mugen 3D".
It'd look more advanced from a casual perspective sure but from a code perspective the characters would still be a whole lot more limited. There is so much that the characters can do that would be limited by the engine itself. Not sure how editing characters stats would be either. Still I think the original creators of MUGEN would be very happy to see that the fighting engine they released to the public for free. Evolved to such a great extent. I don't know if I'll ever get to see anything like that but as someone who's been messing around with MUGEN since the mid 2000s I'd be very happy to see it as well.
Hope captain commando, Jin, Hayato, Ruby, Amigo, Sonson, and the rest the Capcom character will be here in MVC 3 mods soon
My favorite Marvel char is Beast and I always wanted him in a fighting game. Oh and an F4 char too especially since Super Skrull was originally Human Torch.

The way they worked Thanos and Captain Marvel into this game has me wondering if we couldn't somehow get the entire handful of new characters from Infinite into UMvC3.
And hoping something can be done for adding additional slots in somehow. So many matchups I want to play but so far can't due to space limitations...
I heard that Capcom simply took UMvC3 character models and transferred it to MvCI. I'm thinking that for the new characters, they had to model them in the same way, so it may be possible that they can fit in easily.

Would it be great if Capcom somehow added a function where players can create and customize their own fighter in the next MvC game, either through a workshop, like with Steam, or preregistered moves based on all the previous fighters

This is just proof we need a proper Capcom fighting all stars with Marvel gameplay so that Capcom can make vs games at will.

Mvc needs a comeback without Disney's drastic influence and with the same look as the developing league of legends fighting game it would be sick
Marvel literally has to approve everything.....They have to approve the look, the costumes, the moves, supers, balance etc.....Capcom has never had free range when doing a MvC game nor would Marvel give them free range...
