Max returns with some more modded Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, as his team of Ken, Asura, and Gambit face off against the likes of Leon Kennedy and Monster Hunter in some absolutely ballistic online matches!

If there was ever a Capcom character missing from the Vs. Series, it was and always will be Asura, to me.
I've played Asura's Wrath recently after a decade of wanting to but never getting a chance.
Such a cool game.
I love how much Max BECOMES Asura during these modded matches. Asura really is his spirit animal!
Since Ridley was born I’m pretty sure Max couldn’t relate anymore to Asura.
I guarantee a small part of him is gonna go papa bear if she’s in danger.

I still hope that this mod thinks to Include Colossus and Nightcrawler.
As well as some villains like Juggernaut and Apocalypse.
@Dylan Smith juggernaut was confirmed I think because they already ported his model but for now he's over hulk color 6 and colossus will not be surprising either since his marvel 2 appearance. Nightcrawler and cyclops funnily enough were my marvel wish characters while Leon and Nero were my capcom wish characters.
honestly, Leon's voice and grunts in this mod just makes it more cooler to see him perform in action.

Ken actually seems to be insane. His combos seem to go on forever
Ken is wildly capable; especially since he got buffed and his back+M overhead got OTG. He REALLY didn’t need that cause he already did everything hahaha so lacking a good OTG (he has air hadouken, harder to use properly) is a pretty small and fair weakness to have.
He has fucking Hard Drive loops ffs! I love it! It’s all fun so I’m not gonna bitch about balance but Ken is absolutely MAD. Needs a Violent Ken skin cuz damn

Asura and Leon Is exactly who we needed in next generation mvc. Mvc3 was supposed to be the game to rope in games like dmc and viewtiful joe so Asura and Leon would have been perfect picks considering their games were considering modern at the time and was from the era of capcom that they were pulling from.

I feel like if Gambit and Leon were to have been official characters, they would have been perfect to have been revealed and faced each other in the “gameplay trailer” cycle the pairs of revealed MvC3/UMvC3 characters usually got.

That first victory for Max was a pitty gift from Tabs who could have ended the match with Sherry's level 1 but he didn't use it.
Patiently waiting for the day we either mod Wiccan and Hulkling and Nero and V into MvC or the day Disney and Capcom finally get their heads out of the sand and makes an MvC4 with them in it. Something tells me that given the semi-obscurity of the first two and the lower priority of the other two, I'm never going to see that day.

It would be neat seeing someone add in Sora from Kingdom Hearts into the mod as a playable fighter.
Plus seeing someone add in Goliath From Disney's Gargoyles as a guest character in the mod

lmao max struggling with gambits commands was me the other day. For future reference to anyone, his cajun style is a QCF/B motion depending on which side you want him to go to. IE: if you’re left side start, QCB means you go left side of screen, QCF means you go right
Nice to see these extra characters getting more polish with their voice work and themes.

While I think all these characters are cool. Has there been an actual discussion on the balancing of this new cast as well as for the old characters? It would be cool to see tournaments with a more tuned cast.

At this point there’s so many things, I feel like they should just focus on optimizations for the characters moves and fleshing out animations and shit. Also idk how the modding works, is it like a full package you just download and put in a folder or separate things? Regardless this would be awesome to see in a tournament

My problem with MVC3 is that it's so old that to learn how to play it, you have to work it out yourself.

They added Sherry Birkin, that's a surprise.
Maybe they should add an option to decide which characters you want the replacement and which ones you want the originals, at least until they figure out how to add more slots.

Sorry for the immense writing, but I just had to, and for a good reason. Here's why...
Max, this is nice and all, BUT... lets face it. There is one character you'd love to see the most. You mentioned that she was your favorite Capcom female character, how crazy would be if she was the fifth character DLC anounced for SF5's season 5, even mentioning how close she was to be in Capcom vs. SNK 2 (she got replaced by Maki), how cool to see your dream team in a MvC game.
I'm gonna cut to the chase. It's Linn Kurosawa, the badass chick from Alien vs. Predator.
Modders, if any of you is reading this, PLEASE consider making a Linn Kurosawa for UMvC3. Trust me, that'd blow Max's mind. Once again, just please consider making that happen. For Max.
