@stevenluoma1268Well not necessarily Capcom did actually promote a Megaman game in the past so someone at capcom might notice the work these modders are putting in and who knows what might happen

I’d love to see Deadpool do one of Luigi’s Smash Victory Animations where he dances from side to side and the spooked and shocked taunt, maybe even throw in his kick taunt too!
In terms of why MVC3 vs MVCI, I think another important point is that MVC3 is known for taking a rather... extreme, shall we say, approach to balance. It's known as the game where everyone is, to some degree, overpowered. So not only do a lot of people love it, it's much easier to realize a vision without compromises, since it never feels like you have to make a character intentionally weaker for them to be fun to play. If Vergil can have all his shit and still be considered able to be played against, so can everyone else.
It helps that Vergil is honestly the biggest threat at a top and high level, at mid and lower level Vergil is only known for tactics he's so known for he's practically has counterplay. It's Zero you have to watch out for however.
@@StateOfTheMind11225 Other way around. Anchor Vergil is very easy and scary at all skill levels. Zero on the other hand requires learning lightning loops and his unique movement to be effective. At the top level though, Zero is usually seen as stronger, due to his effectiveness as a point character to control neutral, kill of any hit, and his crazy incoming mixups.
I been watchin recent tournments for mvc3 too. people are so good now especially those who have stayed dedicated to the game. watching some of the recent tourney matches is like watching a totally diffrent game from in the past.
Back in the day, Modders inspired Street Fighter 2 Turbo, after hacking Champion Edition - making rainbow edition and other hacks like it in arcades. This is no different. A new official game will be on the horizon and it will be fun again.
Given how well SF6 also did, I expect something or other too. Be it MvC4, a CVS reboot that plays more like the standard Vs games, an all-Capcom crossover, etc.
Dude. I wonder what Capcom has to say about this? I hope they look at this and go “should we do it? Should we make MVC4” it’s a stretch but I am dream! I also really hope they can make DMC5 Vergil look like DMC5 Vergil…
Remember that whatever Capcom says, the biggest issue will be what Disney says, and the fact that if Capcom ever want to make a MvC game, they'll have to deal with them again , which they might not be too keen on doing.
@@emperormegaman3856 Capcom and Disney have been on speaking terms for a while. If they weren't, UMVC3 and MVCI wouldn't still be available for purchase, UMVC3 wouldn't have been at EVO this year, and the Arcade1UP machines wouldn't have have been made.
God if we could get a project m type of experience for UMVC3 where there’s a definitive modded version of the game played at tournaments that would be so fucking hype
If modders can keep adding insane characters that would be stellar. But I think after Fightcade 2 and Slippi, the golden goose for all gaming modding for games is adding rollback netcode.
I remember seeing a thread on Lytheros twitter like a year ago, and saw that is being worked on for UMvC3 It seems possible, but its a LONG way off from being done
We are on the precipice of the new era of fighting games and yet despite it all Marvel 3 still lives. But I think it’s future is determined by the implementation of these mods into tournament. People have watched Marvel as it is for too long. Let these new characters bring in more viewers and interesting scenarios. TNS, ECT everywhere. If Capcom won’t make us a new marvel than god damn it tournament organizers.. LET US DO IT
They already have had a mod character tournament I don’t think they can get to big or have all that fancy esports stuff because it requires a lot of money.
This isn't just a huge breakthrough for those who mod the game. Imagine seeing this as a dev and suddenly realizing that you can just port prior animations already done backwards into games people already love, then just clean them up. Huge time save, and it must be amazing to see that it just...works. like no spaghetti, no game crashes, it just works.
Seeing the progress of the MVC modding feels like watching how Project M developed but probably twice as fast. It took until like 2018 for modders to figure out custom dynamic cloth animation (ie Jigglypuff's green headband) so I believe modders for MVC3 are at the cusp of breaking through for that since importing custom animations are a big deal.
this is cool as all hell. The people workin on these mods are really breaking the mold on what can be done with this game. tho part of me wishes we could do the same to MvCI; if only because I like actually playing that one more lol

Granted, Deadpool break dancing would not be the most out of place thing. I wanna see that lead into a combo path just for the fun of it.
Can't wait to see Magma Dragoon. Now they have so many shoto animations to pull from.
Without being too dramatic, this update has given me so much more to look forward to in life. The ability to create characters that we've been wanting *for years* and have them mesh into UMvC3's style and systems is breathtaking.
And I think we all know it's only a matter of time before there's a dedicated Marvel vs DC conversion...
This gonna open a very big door for the FGC, we could have the ultimate fighting game, bringing models and animations from other franchises.
Imagine a Marvel vs capcom vs tekken vs KOF vs Guilty Gear and...
Marvel 3 fans jus took the quote "We can rebuild him; we have the technology " from The Six Million Dollar Man and just ran crazy with it for years and it truly shows what progress they made today and onwards. its truly amazing how dedicated and how much effort the Marvel modding community put on MvC3🤩
This stuff is super impressive even as someone who doesn't play fighting games. Capcom REALLY needs to bring these guys on because this type and level of dedication should be rewarded.
@stevenluoma1268Well not necessarily Capcom did actually promote a Megaman game in the past so someone at capcom might notice the work these modders are putting in and who knows what might happen
@@sufyaanbulbulia4455yep. Megaman x street fighter.
@@sufyaanbulbulia4455honestly, at this point they should help out and promote Mega Man X Corrupted, cause that’s more impressive than the Street Fighter crossover
This makes me so hyped to play Nero because of this. He will look so beautiful once polish and these new discoveries get implemented into his moveset
I've always loved the MT Framework engine
It made Lost Planet 2 and most of the Monster Hunter games, I always knew how versatile and powerful it is, great engine
Oh shit, Eternal Yoshi. He was a modder in the Smash Bros Brawl scene back when PM was a thing. Its nice to see hes still around, not to mention still contributing to modding scenes.
As time goes by, we inch closer and closer to what can only be described as 3D Mugen {or just the true Marvel vs Capcom 4}. Beautiful
"Fine. We'll do it ourselves." - some UMvC3 modder somewhere, probably in space or some shit
11:42 oh hell yeah, the Green Jelly soundtrack from Maximum Carnage?! This was made by a real fan for real fans.💯💯
Mods are one of the reason why I am a PC gamer now.
If they weren't, UMVC3 and MVCI wouldn't still be available for purchase, UMVC3 wouldn't have been at EVO this year, and the Arcade1UP machines wouldn't have have been made.
i wonder if capcom is planning a major comeback for marvel like they did with street fighter 6
FGC modders never cease to amaze me with what they can pull off. I’m not even into fighting games, but that is impressive work!
Eternal Yoshi was that channel I remember listening to monkey ball music from years ago. It's funny seeing em again as a part of something so huge
God if we could get a project m type of experience for UMVC3 where there’s a definitive modded version of the game played at tournaments that would be so fucking hype
Are you planning on covering Orange Piccolo modded into Fighterz? His existence is revolutionary in the modding of FighterZ
If modders can keep adding insane characters that would be stellar. But I think after Fightcade 2 and Slippi, the golden goose for all gaming modding for games is adding rollback netcode.
I remember seeing a thread on Lytheros twitter like a year ago, and saw that is being worked on for UMvC3
It seems possible, but its a LONG way off from being done
We are on the precipice of the new era of fighting games and yet despite it all Marvel 3 still lives. But I think it’s future is determined by the implementation of these mods into tournament. People have watched Marvel as it is for too long. Let these new characters bring in more viewers and interesting scenarios. TNS, ECT everywhere. If Capcom won’t make us a new marvel than god damn it tournament organizers.. LET US DO IT
They already have had a mod character tournament I don’t think they can get to big or have all that fancy esports stuff because it requires a lot of money.
Neat. Dang I really hope one day we go the skullgirls route and let people choose just 2 fighters or go solo.
Devs backporting or reusing assets has been a tale old as time, but this pretty much one of the ways they do it.
Who’s putting DBFZ SSJ Goku into UMVC3
Seeing the progress of the MVC modding feels like watching how Project M developed but probably twice as fast. It took until like 2018 for modders to figure out custom dynamic cloth animation (ie Jigglypuff's green headband) so I believe modders for MVC3 are at the cusp of breaking through for that since importing custom animations are a big deal.
this is cool as all hell. The people workin on these mods are really breaking the mold on what can be done with this game.
tho part of me wishes we could do the same to MvCI; if only because I like actually playing that one more lol
I love seeing mods of games like this. It makes me want to pick up this mod.
Hi Max, I have been watching your content for 5-6 years now, I want to thank you for helping me understand fighting games and for always having the best content (In my opinion). A few days ago I saw a video of Lythero in which you appeared as a cameo (UMVSC3) I instantly bought it and now is the game that I meet with my friends at night to play, recently I found the video of the community edition and I still can't believe how much content there is for a game that is so many years old.
Finally, thanks for all these years Max, I love your content and just had to leave it in the comments.
(I have written this in a translator, even though I understand a lot of English my main language is still Spanish)
Years upon Years ago there was an intense modding scene with Super Smash Bros Brawl, and they found all kinds of crazy stuff and made crazy things. And it looks like the same thing is about to happen here.
When Bayonetta makes it in, things are changing, Goku, Pepsiman, and more will eventually join in!!!
UMVC3 shall become Mugen in its truest form!!
UMVC3 is becoming 3D Mugen and I'm all for it.
This makes me wanna start playing these mods again! This is so hype!
MVC3 is turned into MUGEN 3D, and my body IS ready for THAT sh@t.
Every time I see a breakthrough in modding UMvC3 I get excited
I can’t wait to see what new mods await us in the future
I'm soooo happy I could cry! Lol UMVC3 has been in my life for soooo long, I don't know what I'd do without it!
This is like the equivalent of a scientific breakthrough
Remember when they said that you should empty your bowl/cup so it can be filled again? This is the type of creative liberties companies should invite and make a lot more renowned! They be cooking.
fuck companies, fuck corporativism. This is to be a Cooperative, this is born from passion and ppl working together to what they love
This is so sick. If modders keep up the community this could be good Mugen, like, we already have more character slots, custom models and now we can import other animations. This game is getting more and more wild
Capcom can't place new characters in a decade old game.
Modders:"Reality can be whatever I want...."
No! That Iron Man reeling up the bird!? Is that hinting at Starlord?!
Bro if deadpool pulls a dx pose and yells "suck it" im might lose my shit
This is so hype I didn’t know much when starting fighting games and mvc3 was one of my original things I have loved it since. With this love for the game it really makes me so happy.
This reminds me so much of the models for Rolento, Elena, Poison, Hugo, etc. being pulled from SFxTK and put into Ultra SF4.
Turning UMvC3 into the new MUGEN. I love it.
this makes me euphoric, especially Nero's trailer gameplay... Holy jesus christ.
Iron Man’s new taunt actually has a hitbox. If it ends up hitting, it will instantly kill the opponent.
Capcom and Marvel: "Our last game bombed, so no MVC4 for you!"
Players: "Fine, I'll do it myself."
this is amazing, specially since the mods from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, mesh pretty well with MVC3 Thats were the model for Cyclops and few other popular mods comes from, so the options for custom character are now pretty high. Im still waiting to see someone make Colossus and Juggernaut.
As someone said earlier. I dont play this BUT im pretty hype and happy for those who still play this game.
Marvel 3 has officially reached smash brawl levels of character modding potential. And that makes me so unbelievably happy
You know people at Capcom have seen these and you know that if Disney wouldn't shoot it down instantly they'd do some official with the people making these mods.
