- Outside of the competitors that graced the Olympia stage, one bodybuilder that broke out as a rising star was Brett Wilkin. The Colorado native by way of Iowa surprised many people in the sport by placing second at the 2021 Chicago Pro. Hunter Labrada was ultimately crowned the winner, but Wilkin served notice that when he’s ready, he’s got next.
Many people didn’t see Wilkin coming because of how he came to prominence. He told Dennis James on the latest episode of The Menace Podcast that he turned pro in Classic Physique.

Wow, looking at his early pics is enough to make me want to quit lifting. His 195 looked bigger than my 220. Amazing genetics, Brett was blessed with big arms and a tight core.

People that hate on others are just insecure , hate themselves and are jealous of others.
For example I am jealous that I am around the same height as him and he makes me look like a twig. I wish I had bigger bone density to be able to easily pack on muscle but I got bad genetics making me 165 and small.

Diet overrated for muscle growth but not for general health.. as long as you get those calories and protein in you'll grow
Ok so she introduced you to drugs and took 30 years off your life. I was a professional athlete and looking back..... soo many people I knew all died from 35-55 age group

Dennis, keep it up man . I am 62 have had an interest in body building sense my first comp in 1985. I have deleted so many of these young guys with their bullshit podcasts and I or 2 of the oldest guys that got into the internet thing.. please keep going don't change and don't do stupid things like others. Man you do the industry a great service. No1 My man. So good.

Lot of talk about how big these guys like Wilkin are getting so fast. Its hard on the system, and I hope for the sake of guys like him, Walker, Blessing etc that they take care of their health, because once its compromised, its very hard to come back from it. Very hard. (this coming from a physician).

Dennis, Love your style and have mad respect for your legendary status but it is a bit disingenuous to knock on Nick Triggli on the ridiculous facts of certain bodybuilders rushing so fast to grow. NICK JUST HAS THE BALLS TO " KEEP IT REAL" Just listen to Brett voice 3 years ago to today. The damage is already done. Bloodwork doesn’t show everything, he just needs to admit he loves the growth and at rapid rate. Nothing wrong with that but just be realistic, he’s a genetic marvel by any means and you can tell it’s taking a huge toll on his insides. It’s actually getting scarier each video he puts out, his voice has totally changed How the hell does a grown ass man voice changes think about that...… so how about "keeping it real" on the facts of OBVOUIS side effects...
