    WOW! THANK YOU FOR THIS!
I want to send the link to all my gym bros who are all about the plates and not about putting the right food on their plates. What's the point of behemoth biceps if your belly bulges out?
Ditto the ladies who pump more silicon than iron.
I've been "sculpting" on and off since I first bought Betty Weider's lavender one-pounders back in high school. Then came Lisa Lyons, Cory Everson, etc. Now I'm 71, almost 72, and I am so grateful for the trainers in my life who got it and get it. I am strong, energetic, healthy, still have a waistline...
    More! More! More!

What an epic interview...Danny giving Vince the respect he always deserves is truly beautiful.

That's what being a trainer is about.

9 years ago I rock 407 on the scale, I cried. I started walking, my first walk was 1/4mi, and I thought I was going to pass out. I kept at it and got down to 333, but fell down on a walk and hurt my knee bad, and couldn't walk. But I had not changed my diet that much, and went into a worse depression, and was rocking 396 in no time. In August of 2019, I watched the documentary 'Fed Up', my wife and I quit all processed sugars! At the time I had high cholesterol, my triglycerides were 1200+, I had type diabetes, my sugar was always at 200+ no matter how much insulin I took. I literally took 1 whole vial in a 24hr period, and never got below 200. The doctors just wanted to pump me full of meds, not a single one told me how bad, how addictive sugar was. In the first 3 months, my wife and I lost collectively 80lbs. Since then I went from a fat 363 to a bit leaner 276, you can even see the difference in my face and stomach from my old pics when I weighed 277 before. She's down from 307 to 233. Sadly, in today's world, sugar is the real epidemic, and the doctors don't do anything about it, just push the pills. We started back at the gym last spring and have been going consistently. I found your videos with Danny, and am looking forward to implementing the techniques you cover. I wish I live in CA, I love to learn to be a trainer under him, and help others. I try to now, but most people are too addicted, and just continue to slowly kill themselves, but every so often you find one who will change. Tx for the inspiration. Pass the tx to Danny too, plz.

I love this bro I was a big guy my whole life I'm currently 30 years old right now and weigh less now than I did in elementary school at 10 years old. I finally decided my current lifestyle wasn't for me I wanted to be healthier for me and do lots of fun outdoor activities and enjoy all of it and when I have kids I can be there for them. I went from 280- 196, majority of my weight loss was from inline skating then I joined a gym about 7 months ago.

Im only 9% bodyfat. My triglycerides still hit 1,000! So I talk to a Dr who once was a team doctor for the Raiders. He told me all the guys in the NFL had high triglycerides . If all your other numbers are good cholesterol, BP, etc then it isn't an issue.

About 2010 a gym opened up across the street so I decided to go in..the very built lady behind the desk wouldn’t even look up at me..she finally asked if I’d ever worked out before and I said back in the 70’s for a short time…she asked where and I said Vinces, you’d of thought she saw Jesus,,she wouldn’t stop asking me questions, their gym was based on Vinces, they idolized him….it was quite entertaining…

It’s about consistency, training is a lifestyle. It’s something that’s continuously done the life span of a life. People think that they can go to the gym for a few months and look like Arnold. The social media is absolute poison. There are no shortcuts, train hard and train for life, eat a balanced diet of protein and carbs and be patient. Not many people have thousands of dollars to spend on hormone replacement therapy, but if you train, eat, and sleep right you will not need them.

It's amazing to me how many trainers still think you want to avoid catabolic states. It has been conclusively proven that not eating 2 hours before until 1 hour after your resistance training, then flooding the body with protein is much more effective. You want the body going into a catabolic state, this triggers IGF-1 and testosterone production. It also improves nutrient partitioning. Fasting occasionally actually improves muscle gain.

If you want to see a great physique check out the renderings of Vince on the front of his booklets. Unfortunately in photographs Vince was actually half that size. Vince was also a great campaigner against steroids. In his book ‘the wild physique’ Vince used the top body’s of the era to illustrate his techniques. At least 95% of the photographs show steroid users. At least 3 of the top physiques Vince used to promote his gym namely Larry Scott, Don Howorth and Mohammed Makaway used steroids. Vince did not train all of the top bodybuilders of the day as this bloke says. Most of them trained at Gold’s gym and did not use Vince’s methods. Bodybuilding has long attracted charlatans and will continue to do so. There are no secret methods to bodybuilding. Most of the established training methods were discovered through trial and error. The increases in size over the last 50 years have come about by chemical use not improvements in training.

*If you want to see a great physique check out the renderings of Vince on the front of his booklets. Unfortunately in photographs Vince was actually half that size.*
He didn't make these drawings himself...
On a side note, Vince was naturally a smaller-framed individual with not much mass potential to start with... however, in his competitive heyday, he was larger and more impressive than in most photos you see of him in his older age.
*Vince was also a great campaigner against steroids. In his book ‘the wild physique’ Vince used the top body’s of the era to illustrate his techniques. At least 95% of the photographs show steroid users.*
No, Vince himself didn't "use" those bodybuilders as illustrations for that book ("Unleashing the Wild Physique") - the book's layout and photos were decided upon by Bob Kennedy, publisher of Muscle Mag who constantly promoted those bodybuilders in his own magazine.
If you actually get copies of Bob Kennedy's other bodybuilding books (which were released around that time), you'd see they closely resemble the one he did with Vince in terms of overall look, format, layout and which bodybuilders were used to demonstrate the exercises... the only difference being Vince's training thoughts was used instead of Bob's own views on training, diet and programming.
*At least 3 of the top physiques Vince used to promote his gym namely Larry Scott, Don Howorth and Mohammed Makaway used steroids.*
Again, Vince himself did not "use" physiques to "promote" his gym... his gym was promoted enough by Hollywood actors and normal, every-day people he trained.
Yes, those people you listed used steroids... but they were all grown men making their own decisions and Vince was a trainer, not their father - we also don't know the manner in which they "cycled" such drugs back then or during which time period in their lives they began using steroids more consistently.
I'm also pretty sure Vince himself understood perfectly well how professional bodybuilding worked back then, and that steroids were pretty much the unavoidable (and for him, very unfortunate) norm - of course, he couldn't say anything in the book which could be misconstrued as being "tolerant" of any kind of steroid use.
Besides (unlike Arnold in his early years), those guys listed didn't have the typical "bulky and bloated" and disproportionate look of hardcore steroid users which Vince hated so much...
*Vince did not train all of the top bodybuilders of the day as this bloke says. Most of them trained at Gold’s gym and did not use Vince’s methods.*
      Agreed...
*Bodybuilding has long attracted charlatans and will continue to do so.*
      Agreed...
*There are no secret methods to bodybuilding. Most of the established training methods were discovered through trial and error.*
True... however, some methods or training modes might be more efficient than others for some people - but this doesn't necessarily mean "more" gains just by itself.
*The increases in size over the last 50 years have come about by chemical use not improvements in training.*
Drugs have really screwed up the general public's perception about what a normally trained, strong, healthy physique is supposed to look like... also what expectation to have as far as muscle-building results for the average trainee.

Sculpting the body is NOT like working with clay... it is an ANALOGY but it gives the impression that ANYTHING is possible, which is a great ATTITUDE to have for beginners and intermediate people, but at some point the trainer should tell the trainee that his genes and other factors have some important things to do with results.

      @ggrthemostgodless8713 Рік тому

      @@trevorjohnson8653
I almost agree but I would modify it with....
""Genetics NOT only matter if you are trying to be Mr Olympia.""
"Any average person can be in better shape than 99.5% of the population if they are consistent WITH THE RIGHT EXERCISE SELECTION AND FOOD QUANTITY AND SELECTION"
Consistency with the wrong things gives no results, only frustration, and most regular gym trainers don't care enough or don't know enough to use the genes they SEE in their trainees to the max, EVEN IF they are paying them.
Thus, it would be good to define a bit more what "better shape" means in your comment. Weigh less? Look better? Feel better? Less fat more muscle?
I imagine "consistent" means regular WEEKLY workouts, not necessarily DAILY gym attendance??
Programming the load and exercises, and timing for recovery, food selection, and quantity for individual people, is something that even MOST people, who DO go to the gym, don't know how to do; or don't have access to a good, well informed or educated trainer at the gym, most trainers just want to sell them crap or "special" programs or attention, like the job itself does not imply they should be doing THAT already.
It is not a high bar to be better than 95% of the population if most people are obese or overweight. Even this guy in this video looks overweight or outright chubby. Like most things in life, one thing is to know things and another is to DO them and apply it, we all know we SHOULD save for the future, so few do it, we all know we should eat less but people get stuck with "you should eat 2 grams of protein per pond go body weight' that even as they see themselves getting fatter, they keep at it. Dogma sucks, so few things in ANY dogma apply to everyone.
      Good luck man.

I think this type of trainer is great but as an avid researcher in nutrition and training, I would be very careful touting TRT, HRT, HgH because you can increase and optimize hormones naturally. I have help people and myself double my T levels and free T all naturally in under about 6 months. Plus you get to keep your head of hair. The biggest plagues today is overtraining and undereating of nutrient dense food, period. It would be fun to work with this guy though.

Right so what you are saying is Nat T does not effect your hairline but TRT and HRT test does....???
      Go on..how does that work?
Doube your T levels...from what level? Upto that levels?

Dude thinks 900-1200 test at 60 years of age is 'normal'??? These levels are normal for late adolescence in genetically gifted specimens... So basically he redirects his clients to his buddy TRT MDs and everybody is suddently magically fit and full of energy and focus after few weeks of his training. No disrespect but in the US 'TRT business' is clearly as strong as suplement industry.... In Europe TRT is strictly restricted for severe medical conditions and in the US , everybody who can afford it has his 'hormone doctor' prescribing him 'feel good T' so 'pacient' can flex in the gym...

@@michaelstewart4038 Crazy. Shouldn't therapy replace what is missing, not boost free T to levels unattainable by healthy mortals? There should be clear diference between TRT and doping....

600-1000 is normal range for a 30 year old. The average 22 year old male today has the same T levels of a 67 year old man in the year 2000 according to data of many studies. Testosterone is the Master male hormone. If your t levels are low you will be pumping those saggy breast with your girlfriend watching the View.
