This chapter was hydrogen bomb vs coughing babies and the coughing babies won
What an amazing way to put it
This baby has bronchitis
one of them had allied themselves with the pitbull nation, so they clutched the match
Ahahahahahha that's so accurate. In chapter 4, it was more the hydrogen bomb winning
Coughing bomb vs hydrogen baby
I was pretty curious about Jodio not having a punching ghost stand like all the others, but with his brains I’m sure he’ll be able to stand on equal footing. This kid is scary
To be fair, he COULD get one in the endgame.
Since jodio is based on gionro and he did get a get a requim maybe jodio does too?
@@zaynabnoon1163 maybe
Johnny didnt have a punching ghost until the last 5% of the manga
This could be act stand for all we know
November rain chapter 5: yeah it is heavy rain
November rain chapter 87: with this rain i can restart the universe and stop time
With the Made in Heaven black hole stuff Araki pulled before, that very much could happen
November Rain ends up being heavy because it can control the "gravity" of water droplets in the air. By expanding it, he can control the Gravity of anything and effect the flow of "Mechanisms". Now he can control the cause and effect of any object inside the range of November Rain.
Still ends up punching the main bad guy to death.
arakis not that stupid
It feels like Araki is making up for the teammate betrayal that was meant to happen in Part 5 with a betrayal in Part 9.
Honestly same. When listening to November Rain back it was first revealed to be the name of Jodio’s Stand, I just had this odd feeling in the back of my head that Jodio was gonna get betrayed by someone when paying attention to the lyrics and feeling out the melody
yeaa, cant wait for this part to finish. its sounding pretty insane already
With Jodio’s ability to control the weight of his raindrops, I feel like by the end of part 9, Jodio is going to raining black holes on some fools
with the spin
"Hey, what do you call an object with infinite mass and infinite energy?"
"Masaka! A black hole???"
"Close, but no. A black hole absorbs energy without letting any out. Not heat, not light, not vibrations. By definition it can't have any energy, let alone infinite."
"B-but then..."
"A photon with infinite speed can have infinite energy, but they can't have any mass. A black hole with infinite mass can't have infinite energy. But do you know what contains both light particles and black holes?"
"YOU WOULDN'T DARE"
"Correct. Witness the combination of my November Rain Requiem's Supermassive and the Infinite Spin Technique: I can create a whole universe. In every. Single. Drop. Of my rain."
"WHY YOUUUUU JOJOOOOOOOO"
@@straypaper this is going to be what happens for sure, give it 10 years and we’ll see how right this is
@@straypapera power that makes entire universes rain down on the enemy is definitely something that Araki would came up with
Actually cute idea, typhoons and cyclones form around in a circular shape that spins
I like to imagine in like a couple chapters later jodio will use his stand in such a smart way he will use the rain as a punching barrage and my god if this actually happens imma go FERAL
Man puts his fist to his palm and the rain becomes a downpour of bullet-sized punches.
THE BINDING OF ISAAC: REPENTANCE'S ITEM OF ID 637, KNOCKOUT DROPS!!!!!!)
@@mrdeblob6010the properties theory has been mostly disproven at this point imo. it's just weight
@@ScatLuigi Maybe, but I’m still a bit hung up on the cactus thorns getting focused on. Still think there’s some sort of “shape” property not yet explored.
He'll probably reach a level where he can form the rain drops into forms
Like a fist for example
Rohan played the role koichi did in part 5, only this time he is the one aware of what is happening. In part 5 giorno was the one who knew about passione while koichi was the clueless one, and giorno played on koichi being a nice person. Here the one who doesnt know what is happening is jodio, and rohan plays on his greed.
Like Jotaro to Jolyne in part 6
I hope that he isn’t like koichi in the way that he’s a major character in the prologue type chapters, and actually does return later on. Would suck if Rohan just kinda stopped existing in the part like Koichi did in part 5
@@jackofaces107I did want to see Koichi again, but to be fair the entirety of part 5 was just one week, so his absence at least makes sense in how fast everything happened.
One thing I know about Hawaiian Lava Rocks is that they supposedly *bring Bad Luck* to people who take them away from the islands. Same goes with Uluru rocks in Australia. In both cases it's documented that tourist mail these rocks back with apology to reverse the bad luck. Maybe Araki is taking on this tale and sort of reverses it - these specific rocks bring good luck.
to be fair, Jodio isn't taking the rocks away from the islands, dude lives there
@@dleonidae I know, that's why I said that Araki is making a spin on the whole concept - lava rocks having influence on faith. We are still to see how it works.
Can you imagine if Wonder of U's defeat in the hands of the Locacaca and Go Beyond sent calamity around the world 'somewhere else'? Because while good luck brings bad luck according to Jojo's established parity, bad luck must bring good luck)
@@neoxus30 And the same thing might've happened with the Holy Corpse too!
all cards are on the table.
That would explain why that happened to Akari....i Mean Rohan hes a Tourist
I like when jojo characters don’t have “punchy stands” makes fights a lot more interesting.
SAME
Yeah I think at least at the moment he’s totally leaning into that. We haven’t seen any punchy ghosts. But we are only 5 chapters in.
I think especially how this seems like a heist story. So far we’ve seen is just like “heist”-type stands
@@RazorBladezXIts pretty similar to how Steel Ball Run didn't have many punch ghosts, with most of them showing up way late. In a Silent Way kinda counts but it didn't throw punches, but the actual punchy ghosts were only D4C, Tusk Act 4, and THE WORLD.
Not in this case
4:09 i believe Jodio didn't want to hurt Rohan because of how much he respects him
Can't wait to we reach to the end of part 9 and Jodio discovering that the true filthy richness is the friends we made along the way or something
Damn didn't thought the fandom would pull this joke so early
I mean real talk I do firmly believe that Jodio's filthy rich is going to be less material than literal wealth
I swear to God if this is actually the case I will laugh my ass off
I feel that while November Rain has mostly been dealing in heavy weights, I feel like Araki having an earlier use send cactus needles through the rain was his attempt to suggest the rain does more than just produce heavy weights. It's hard to tell though, but if it seems to only be weight for a while, I could see November Rain potentially evolving with Acts.
I absolutely believe November Rain is going to evolve with Acts as Jodio continues to grow. It'll probably be like Tusk where it stays inhuman, but also throws punches too.
I wonder if November Rain evolves. That it will be able to make things less heavy to the point of weightlessness or maybe he could his rain so heavy that it can become rain black holes.
@@alcatrazvongola Maybe it does become humanoid. Jodio is going by 'desire', by his 'ambition', like an animal. Maybe once he truly understand the important 'mechanisms' his stand and he will become more human)
Omggg i would love to see it evolve
@@neoxus30 Oooh I really like that theory. Jodio's goal is to find happiness, so as he gets closer to happiness then his Stand will become more human-like.
It's interesting that the lava rocks are the items linked to supernatural abilities. I'm not a historian by any means but I am Hawaiian so I know quite a bit about the folklore and culture. Taking lava rocks is a known taboo in Hawaii, people who have done so have always sent them back no matter where they are in the world because they bring misfortune. This is due to the Goddess of fire and creator of the islands, Pele, being a very jealous and vengeful god. If Araki is tying the supernatural to the Hawaiian Gods I will be overjoyed.
Woah crazy
I mean we already have Jesus as part of the canon of the SBR-Verse, more God Related Stuff doesn't seem too far fetched.
That's very interesting. We see Jodio going up to a volcano, so he may be returning the rock to where it is supposed to be. It would also explain why the rock makes things "return to it".
After you said “make it rain” I immediately imagine Jodio raining money everywhere 😂
Evolution of the stand : golden shower
"Jodio could've pinned Rohan with water drops just like he did to the cops"
He specifically says he doesn't want to hurt him
Poor Dragona looked terrified out of their mind in this chapter which makes so much sense when you remember their age and what the police threatened to do to them
Whenever Dragona is in danger or assaulted, Jodio seems to be very agitated and revengeful. Something definitely happened to them in the past😕
@chakr.a Im assuming it has to do with their dad who hasnt been mentioned once, while the mom is portrayed like a goddess so far
Yeah he was bamboozled
Dragona too pure
i can feel every they/them in this sentence, it sounds like uncertainty. lmao
btw, is it confirmed yet? about Dragona's gender?
im guessing not by these comments still being a thing but i dont know for sure
jodio developing an entire ideology around a few sentences that his favorite manga author said hits a bit too close to home lol
The lava rocks are like the corpse part’s everyone wants it for their own gain and desires.
Rohan's worst enemy: teenage Joestars destroying his house for money.
At least it wasn't Josuke's destroying his house, unless Josuk8 shows up just to Go Beyond Rohan's villa into oblivion.
@@organicelephant5416i think josuke is traveling the world to get rid of the rokakas since at the end of the part he said theres still more out there
I was honestly scared for Rohan I didn’t want him to die lmao. But I was like nah Jodio likes him too much. And yeah PHEW
Araki won't kill his self insert lmao.
@@varnix1006 I mean I wouldn’t put it past him to do something wild he is Araki for a reason lmao

i think november rain will evolve as the story progresses because the song is actually the middle part of a multi-part ballad. the others being don't cry and estranged. it could be that november rain is actually already it's second form.
the rock is actually one of Shigechi's fossilized spike hair thingies
I like the idea of November Rain being a bit underpowered in comparison to the Super OP Soft & Wet
I think jodio will have a top 3 powered stand by the end. Controlling mass? Black hole rain?gravity? He could control fate itself.
yeah Araki has to come up super busted to out shine Stopping Time, Reverting Actions, Resetting the Universe, A barrier that reflects all misfortune, and a bubble that exists outside of reality.
the question is how is he gonna get it, Acts, Requiem, some new way of evolving?

@@neoxus30 what?
@@gagejoestv2714 Karera was a character in Jojolion who showed up for one arc, said maybe they'll meet again, then just didn't show up for the rest of the part.
@@racergamer3733 ok I haven’t that far into JoJolion yet but thanks for telling me
i think that jodios big confusing main jojo endgame power might be the ability to warp space time with his rain drops like einsteins theory of relativity using his heavy raindrops to bend space time
The fact that there are more than one cat chasing the group and Rohan saying that they were beeing followed reminds me of Jodio saying that no matter how many people they would have brought with them to steal the diamond, it wouldn't be enough at the end of chapter 1. I wonder if this has something to do with Jodios statement.
I don't know why more people are not talking about the four circles work. There could be a possibility that Jojolands is set in the same setting as Hot Summer Martha. Hot Summer Martha emphasizes the four circles drawing through the whole chapter.
i gotta say i love how xforts always talks about jojo with such passion and excitement
So are the cats what the narration from chapter 1 was referring to?
This part is definitely going to deal with fortune, bad luck, and the concept of humankind and it’s strive for a god complex/egotism
i can see them giving their principal the diamond but not the lava rock and it comes back to them when they leave
Im not Hawaiian, but I do remember hear elsewhere that taking lava rocks from the island is bad luck. So either the bad luck is happening in a subtle way (like the gang being chased by cats) or there is some kind of karmic balance thing, where for every piece of good luck, there is some bad that will happen.
Your videos always make my day man! Jojo is peak material as are your videos on it!😊😊❤😊😊❤😊😊❤
Maybe the mechanism is attracting what you want, you "you" consider valuable. Jodio starts wanting wealth but maybe there will be a change of heart along the way
12:25 I'm 100% sure it's this. She reminds me of Polpo.
So odd for hamon beat to upload this before you 😂
It's seeming like jodio can control the weight of individual raindrops even after they've hit the floor or choose what they effect.
Edit: maybe a little wild but initially I was thinking jodio can manipulate things hit by his raindrops
With how the matt went through the floor when Rohan got jumped by Jodio, this isn't _too_ unlikely.
Maybe he can reshape things he destroyed by his rain kinda like crazy diamond
@@BobbinRobbin777 I mean rohan says that the rain soked through the carpet and then crushed the floor beneath it. This is from Rohan however and not Jodio
maybe its similar to how Soft & Wet's bubbles can steal properties, but instead of stealing he can replicate properties such as weight or the spikes on the cactus
i dont think araki would pull that off though because its way too similar to S&W
Jodio: here call the cops
Rohan: nuh uh
Jodio: fym nuh uh?
Ny fav element of JoJoLands so far is how seeming runaway gags are actually crucial to the plot, very mature writting skill from Araki
I also noticed that the cats' faces have a diamond symbol on them, the one that is usually seen on playing cards.
Jodio after defeating the diamond cats when the spade cats show up with 「Ace of Spades」
Hawaii is actually a pretty popular tourist destination for the Japanese, so I'd imagine Araki has been there.
I think the lava rocks is like a reference to the “don’t take anything from Hawaii” where people sometimes try to take the rocks or something and it’s bad luck but idk
Is it perhaps the law of desire? The mechanism that exists within ‘nature’ itself, as all natural things have a form of desire in some sense, especially seen in JoJo. Even animals can be seen having desires to grow, or to fight, or something else, like when Stray Cat was capable of choosing who he liked, similar to Kira he seemed to want to live a peaceful life, that’s a desire. To Rohan, the Rock is a value of study, therefore it showing it’s mechanism by bringing an object of monetary value, despite Rohan not caring about money, would make sense considering it would be quite easy for Rohan to figure out using that.
I wonder if the rock's mechanism is the idea of "ownership." That's something abstract enough to warrant a 'mechanism' but is also concrete enough to convey that money is the best way to go about using and empowering it.
So long Rohan. I eagerly await your return to Part 9 in April 2028.
i'm gonna make a prediction and say that a volcano is gonna be a stand in the future
just read the chapter and immediately cheked to see if you had uploaded and you did that exact second lol
this is definitely on the natural laws of luck which is associated a lot with wealth (lottery, slot machines, gambling, etc). Would be cool if luck is gonna be the main driving force that makes the events happen in this part
I feel like the law of nature from the rock is either good luck, or in the case of a universal constant, maybe it's the law of attraction.
It starts attracting that which the holder desires most, in the case of Jodio, valuables!
I think the reason Jodio didn’t want the rain to land on Rohan because he respects and is a fan of him
The Cats’ Stand will be called Cat Food. A King Crimson reference.
I have another take on Rohan talking about mechanisms. It's possible that Jodio has this passionate vision of mechanisms in nature since he was a little kid as a way to explain nature itself. When JoJo saved Dragona, only his name was revealed to Rohan, but he was able to tell Jodio's full name and age. My theory is that when Rohan read Dragona's information, he caught a glimpse of their relation and used the mechanism thing as "counter leverage". Maybe JoJo could've spoken about the mechanisms sometime in the past and Dragona kept it in mind ever since trying to understand what Jodio meant as a display of care, empathy and/or curiosity.
Jodios stand is interesting to me because it isn't humanoid. Every other jojo had a humanoid stand, with Tusk act 4 becoming humanoid and joseph/Johnathan not being mcs of part 3. If this is a part 5 parallel, the lava rock might act like the Requiem arrow to evolve a stand. The natural force provided by the rock could be desire. Jodio is a sociopath pretty much, and so it may be that he only desires money and wealth, so the rock attracts the holder's desire. I initially thought that they couldn't take the diamond/money from Rohan due to him writing "You cannot steal from Rohan Kishibe" with Heavens Door, and him letting them go released the stealing aspect.
Part 5 was to originally have a betrayal, so Araki might go through with it this time. All the stands seem really weak strength wise, so relying on each other and enguinuity will probably be major themes, as we saw last chapter
I realized that Rohan being here at the beginning of the story is yet another callback to part 5, as that part had a different part 4 character interact with and attack our main jojo. People might of made this connection months ago, but something I just realized now.
I personally think the lava rocks attract things that help in our society, since money is what we use for everything in the world the lava rock attracts things that help you gain money.
I liked the theory that said that the lava rocks prevent you from having your possession taken away from you and that the way to exploit them to become rich is basically an infinite money glitch. Spend money and they eventually come back to you.
So just Milagro Man without the caveat?
I think Jodios Dtand is purposefully simple. But it sounds like mass manipulation which could be interesting!
What if Jodio first heard the term mechanism from a manga created by Rohan ?
I think the law that Araki is portraying is the law of Monopoly. It's not exactly a traditional law of nature but when everyone trades eventually one person will own everything. So my guess Araki is trying to portray that law or concept on how Monopolies are form as a law of fortune
That's because of capitalism specifically. That doesn't happen without it.
Do you think that theres a connection between water falling from the sky [🌧 november rain] and fire coming from the earth [🌋 lava]?
also dont forget that even though we beat rohan, jodio still said in chapter 1 "it wouldnt have mattered how many people were on our team" so we're not in the clear yet
i forget if you've used that intro before but DAYUM that shit's cold
I sorta believe that every word Jodio said to Rohan was probably laced in condescending sarcasm and I love it.
Problem with that theroy is he acknowledged Rohan from the pool as reading as a mangka he reads the work of Jodio is a confirmed pychopath he absolutely would threaten someone he respects to protect someone he cares i.e Danga at least to me also it all being sincere adds a degre malice to it because that was Jodie to someone he respected imagine what he dose to people he hates
Heavy rain is going to be some time of "Spin" related stand like the other two In the new universe
A spinning waterdrop which turns into a black hole🗿
The rocks could be a more literal law of attraction
Not like gravity and fate but literally attracting wealth
Love how Rohan is not being a asshole and helping the main character
i can tell 100% araki went to hawaii before writing this part, a lot of the details he included are way too specific for someone who has never been there before. in particular, the inclusion of stuff like kona airport and highways along the lavafields indicate that he really did take a pretty extensive tour
When Usagi is revealed as the fourth member of the team, Jodio says something like "Is this another of the world's mechanisms? 8:15
It's not a speech bubble, it's a narration box. The same narration that says after that "this is the beginning" so it's either future Jodio or him as an omniscient narrator.
@@xForts ah damn. The way it was presented made it seem like the observation was made in the moment. Shoulda went back n fact checked.
New challenge: find the actual villa in real life 🤣🤣
Really excited to see the reveal of the antagonist and their stand ability
I started to think about Rohan when he said do u trust ur allies and it made me think how in the original part 5 fugo was meant to betray the team but araky couldn’t write about it but maybe he will do it this time
I’m loving part 9 !
intro is so good
Tbh I have yet to actually read part 9 because xForts puts so much effort into his reviews and is like an in depth audio book
I'm thinking the rocks are more tied to willpower or desire, and Jodio's desire is just to be richer.
Hell yeah man this was the best chapter so far! We finally got a bit more info and I’m excited to see where the rock story goes plus it’ll be interesting that theirs a traitor
perhaps this law of nature is just the idea of prosperity in general? Like in nature prosperity exists, and those who are more prosperous have a greater survival advantage. In nature it would be more things like resources than money, like food, materials to construct shelter, etc.
A reason why Jodio rained on the carpet to immobilize Rohan instead of pinning him like the cops could be for the same reason he didn’t want his friends to hurt Rohan. Jodio respects Rohan so doesn’t want to hurt the guy. It could also be so they could question Rohan as the other way could knock the guy unconscious.
I wonder if his stand has to due with like sins, rain normally being seen as a symbolism of cleansing/becoming clean. The police officers were corrupt and attacked jodio and his brother so the rain made them heavy of their sin or something
I'm sure November Rain will be much more powerful than we give it credit for. Like Jolynes ability was just producing string; but the way she used that string made it into some of the most inspiring uses of a Stand ability in the series.
Also I believe it may undergo a transformation, based on the previous JoJos Stands transforming towards the end of their part. I'm going off of pattern recognition though so I can be wrong.
I’m literally visiting Hawaii in a month. Find this too cool.
Da king is back baby he neva miss
I actually thought he could manipulate the weight of the raindrops, making them light or heavy at will
9:53
oh boi did they fuck up bad with that move
THE ICONIC "I REFUSE" IS THERE AGAIN
It could be possible Jodio didn't directly attack Rohan because, as you later brought up, he respects Rohan. Perhaps he doesn't wanna attack him, but he had to subdue him somehow.
I finally got caught up and I'm now realizing that I'm going to have to wait a month for every new chapter
When I first saw Rohan falling through the floor I assumed that it was because Jodio can control when the raindrops are heavy. Making them heavy as soon as Rohan was in the right position for the floor would break but that might just be me overthinking or misinterpreting it
I'm not sure if this could be it but my thought I had for the significance of the lava rocks might be the concept of luck cuz in one of the comments I saw, as well as how the alternate universe's stories work with Steel Ball Run focusing on good luck and Jojolion focusing on bad luck. I think that through the lava rocks, both good and bad luck would be applied in the story. Or maybe I am just completely wrong cuz Araki is one of the most unpredictable mangakas. (As for people that recognise me from numerous other things. I watch a lot of different things in youtube).
I think the mechanisim is around desire/ambition. Just seems in line with the particular themes.
I would be interested to see where the lava rocks go from here. It's a common thing to tell tourists who go to Hawaii Volcanoes National park to not take the lava rocks as you'll be cursed by Pele. I'm not sure where the idea of being cursed comes from but my mom had an interesting take on it. The lava rocks are porous and help to facilitate the water cycle and ecosystem of the island. The southern part of Hawaii island is viewed as the land of Pele from a cultural perspective. So taking the rocks would be like plucking flowers from a person's garden or taking fruit from their tree without asking for permission. There also was a time where a chief stopped a lava flow from heading towards Hilo or a lava eruption taking out a portion of rival army during Kamehameha's unification of the islands.
Happy my home is getting some love from my favorite mangaka. Can't wait to see how this story goes.
This is just idea but maybe the rocks has to do with desire and desire from life which might go with law of nature, creatures always have a desire for something like Jodio’s desire for the diamond
Loved this chapter overall. This felt like Araki's love letter to his foreign fans. He's like "I know you're out there, foreign fans. I appreciate you all." when Jodio gave that speech which touched Rohan. Even if Jodio's the type who'd pirate his manga.
I think it would be cool for him to make simpler stands. It has been getting out of hand(Wonder of U), And the solution to defeating them even more absurd.
The main villain's abilities have always been very convoluted and esoteric in JoJo's. Part 7 had a ton of very simplistic stands, and the stands we've seen in this part seem to also be pretty straightforward, so I don't think Araki is going for complexity just for the sake of it.
I thought jodio turned the rain heavy after it seeped through the carpet, making a carpet pitfall trap with no floor under it
Yo, Im courious of where you bought the english versions of the part 7, 8 and 9 mangas, because I have been looking everywhere and I cant seem to find any. (btw I highly enjoy watching your videos, keep up the good work)
Only reason i watch your reviews even tho i read the chapter. is so i can find all the references. and cuz good content
If he can make things wet with his rain and make them heavy. Then he should fight with those water missile things that soak up water and you hit people with
