I know this is an old video but one thing I will add: go get one of those cheap like $1.50 inflatable rubber balls from Walmart or a dollar store, deflate it, and reinflate it inside the hat once you spray the starch. Half of the ball will press fit inside the hat to force it back to it's original shape. Once it dries you have a nice stiff hat with no wrinkles. Don't fully inflate the ball either obviously or you will stretch the hat, or it will simply pop the hat off and you have to start over.

Gidday Mate,, yep ya rite the delicate's bag is the trick. Much more efficient than 'scrub in a bucket:. What else I did was soak em 1st with a stain remover to loosen the dirt (I had some horrid caps that I use for work and gardening,, damm they were *#!@& filthy!). All caps - especially the brims- survived well and are respectable clean again. Thanks for the tip.

hey bro between me and you what I do is I just put shout on them I shoot shout on my hats and I put them into inside the washing machine but when I put them in there I'll put them at the top so that way they don't get ruined with the rest of the clothes and you do not let them dry inside the dryer that's how you mess them up you let them dry by air drying and while they're air drying you put the shaper back inside the hat so that way your hat will be back shaped
I tryed washin a few back in the day with cloths dumb idea!! Good look tho I have a dozen that need washed and I been doin em buy hand this looks alot easier good look!!

That's the same thing I was wondering submerging in water is going to mess up the bill doesn't matter how you line them up in that bag. It's better to put a dish of dishwashing detergent to the side. Get any kind of handheld brush and run the cold water on your bathroom sink rinse it by that manner
J_S_X _X_S_J for one hat just use ivory dish soap (4-6 drops in a spray bottle with water) 1. Spray hat with soap solution 2. Scrub with wet wash cloth 3. Rinse

I used a bag I use for fruit and vegetables grocery's. works the same and costs nothing!
You don't even need to tie a knot into the pillow case. You can use a shoestring or a scrunchy.
I love my tutorials with cuss words in them. A cuss word or two let's you know that it is spoken from the heart.

Very little dish soap otherwise you get a ton of suds

Washing them by hand is still better, and putting à towel in them after washing to dry them, changing it when wet
