What works for me is taking a hat into the shower (being careful to avoid soaking the brim where possible). Let the steam relax the fibers first, briefly rinse the hat with warm water and use a soft/medium bristle brush to loosen up dirt, apply a bit of shampoo on the brush or directly onto stained areas and scrub, let it sit for a few minutes before washing it off and letting the hat dry
Yessirrr imma subscribe I love how u present yourself and how u did the video I can tell there’s a lot of effort to these videos man very much appreciated 🔥🔥🔥
im just searching the best way to clean my cap because mine have yellow stain and this is the best way i can do to wash it. thanks for this tutorial video man
I'm a farmer and have been wearing ball caps for years . Always just thrown them in the washer . After a couple times of that and they pretty much lose their shape . I even tried the delicate cycle . Gonna try this on my favorite Twins cap that has never been cleaned the old way as l didn't want it to lose it's shape . Glad Utube algorithms sent me your channel. Thanks .
Thanks for the vid! Came up in a search for my one and only branded work hat, so will give it a try. The video was honest enough, in my opinion, that if you made a kit to sell, I would have bought it simply based on the video. Thank you very much!
That is awesome! The first I've seen that addresses the rigidity and structure integrity! Had someone claim that with submerging in a sink full of water, but then used an old worn out hat! I need that bill and front logo section to be solid afterwards, or I may as well scrap the hat!
Glad I found this video.. I have been wearing hats for years and have ruined hats trying the dishwasher method ect.. I was thinking about steam cleaning some stubborn stains but I'm going to go ahead and try this 3 to 10 method. Thanks. New sub here.
I marinate my ball caps in laundry detergent overnight in a plastic tub. Use a sponge and hand wash gently. Then hang in the shower to dry for a few hours. A fan works really well to expedite the drying process! With the laundry detergent, the hat smells great!
used to clean a designer baseball cap, worked flawlessly luckily I had the crep kit laying around I used the included shoe detergent because Ive had success with cleaning delicate sneakers and it worked great.
I can second that specific oxyclean spray. That is the best stuff I’ve found that is universal for most stains. If it doesn’t come out in the first was it always does in the second.
When you’re done come back and let us know how your caps turned out…FYI.. if your caps are too soiled, sometimes we got to make the tough decision to just let them go! 🚮🗑️🥹…😂
I am going to get going on trying this soon! A method that is cheap and doesn't use too much water like this is awesome! Lots of people seem to forget that some hats will have their bills ruined if fully submerged in water for too long. I have a 9Fifty Snap that I wore to death that I ruined trying to clean because I submerged it in water for too long while cleaning it, which made the bill extremely soft.
I followed this method today to remove big sweat stains on my black cap, and I have go say the resulta are perfect! I didn'y spray the detergent and water thing, i just put it in a bowl and put in a tootbrush when needed. Very much approved!
Yeah, the way you did it will certainly work… I just leave my mixture in a bottle because I clean a lot of caps often…. I’m glad it worked out for you. 👍🏽
So many hats I've bought and thrown out since 2010, I've would have saved a majority of them & even made a few bucks reselling them if only i knew how to clean them 😂 Thanks
This will probably work fine, but top rack in the dishwasher is really effective. I put a ten year old white golf cap in and it came out like new...frankly was startled how well it worked. Try it on an old cap if you are worried about the bill...it works!
Yeah, I’ve heard this from many people, but how does it work on keeping the structure of the crown intact?… I think it’s a great idea for caps that don’t have a structured crown.
NIce! This video is very helpful. I would just like to ask on how you deal with caps that have red and white? Because for me red bleeds a lot and some other colors can easily stain the white portion of the cap.
Good question . I’ve never owned a dual colored white cap but I think this method is gentle enough as to avoid that happening… but I would still proceed with caution.
I checked out some other channels and I have to say it’s great that you showed how a man cleans his style. The other channels had Mom, a kid, and a dishwasher do a half job. Thanks man for something simple, yet manly!
Exactly what I was looking for: fast, simple ball cap cleaning. Well done and thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you. Definitely the video I needed to see. Especially the fact that you’ve already tried all methods and know what you are talking about.
you definitly need to make more of these vids. this was very helpful and to the point.

I can second that specific oxyclean spray. That is the best stuff I’ve found that is universal for most stains. If it doesn’t come out in the first was it always does in the second.
Put in the title "Cleaning hats for eBay Resale" and it will jump in the views.
That’s a good idea..👍🏽
Buying used hats is almost as bad as buying used underwear. I’m good
@@druduns1 I've sold bunches of used hats over the years. You'd be shocked what some of them go for
@@druduns1 some hats like vintage Nixon or Hurley hats you can't get new anymore! Depends on how bad you need that particular cap?
@@druduns1 yeah so dumb it’s almost like reselling shoes!! Who would do that there’s no money in it AT ALL 😂😂😂 🤡
thanks dude this worked super well. my fitted hat had a huge sweat stain covering half the hat and it came out pretty quick
I’m glad it worked out for you…👍🏽
Goated video bro im gonna do this with all of mine first thing in the morning
When you’re done come back and let us know how your caps turned out…FYI.. if your caps are too soiled, sometimes we got to make the tough decision to just let them go! 🚮🗑️🥹…😂

So many hats I've bought and thrown out since 2010, I've would have saved a majority of them & even made a few bucks reselling them if only i knew how to clean them 😂 Thanks
Thanks for watching…. if I find an even more effective way to clean them without damaging them I’ll be sure to post a new video !
I am going to try this with my Born Savage hat I pray that it comes out the same.
So much for posting every friday 😂😂😂😂
I know I got ahead of myself🥺.. thanks for watching…
what are the odds tgat the hat you decide to clean is identical to the one i need to clean. Thus video was ment for me. Thanks. Had to sub.
You have great taste in hats, and yes this video was meant for you 🫵🏽…😂lol…. Thanks for watching and I hope this method works out for you! 👍🏽

Great video. Here's my 2 cents, if your hat starts to fray or get "pilled" I would use a handheld sweater or fabric shaver
Great advice! 👍🏽 thanks for watching!
Here’s a championship🏆 💯
I use Resolve stain remover. Simple
This works!
Glad it worked for you!… thanks for watching!

Thanks mate @@style_45 ! ☺👍
That is the way I clean mine too. But then l stretch the cap over a #10 can and spread sta-flo starch over the cap with a paint brush.
Starch! 🤔 that’s a good idea I have never thought about that. The only thing I do is spray Crep shoe protection on it.
👍👍👍
👍
I just put them in the dishwasher, works great
I checked out some other channels and I have to say it’s great that you showed how a man cleans his style.
The other channels had Mom, a kid, and a dishwasher do a half job.
Thanks man for something simple, yet manly!
