I remember getting sent home for for my Brujeria long sleeve with the severed head at Oxnard High School.
Bro, you were one of many!😂 Gud tymes!
Yellow Jackets! Graduated fro OHS in 93 🤘🏼
@@BobRobsstrikesagain Rumor is that Cowboy still haunts the the hallways of the old OHS....
@@duanenash9474 Whoa, haven’t heard about that rumor! Sad most of the old school got demolished
Technically, Brujeria means Witchcraft.
cheers but id rather take Dino's word
And Matando Gueros means kill white men... the brujeria & hate for white people is very real amongst some in the Hispanic community. Look into the Allen shooter in Tx.
@@andywounds5592
@@andywounds5592 black magic is Magia Negra. Brujeria is Witchcraft
I've researched this. Brujeria is witchcraft. He's right.
I wore the Matando Gueros shirt having no clue what it meant and my buddy Pedro kept giggling and laughing at me . Yeah we were smoking weed , but I finally asked what the fuck he was laughing at . He said " Aye , you know what your shirt say ? Hee Hee Hee , It means killing you aye ! Killing blondes , whites ! Hee hee " Thats how he explained it to me anyway lol ! But we had a good laugh and I made sure I wore that shirt every time I went with Pedro or his boy Chilango to any Mexican restaurant/bar/get together lol ! They loved it !
Mexicans really "liked" me singing it at work. Being yo soy guerro
@@bobdollaz3391any LATINO would love to see that "NORTH" american.....
I discovered Brujeria through a local metal magazine in late 90s and thought it was real lol. The mythical preinternet times when all I knew about bands was only through few interviews and their music. Years later, was so shocked to find out it was Dino alll along since FF was one of my favorite bands.
Yup. I first saw the picture of R.O. album in like 95 in the adds of metal edge or some rag
It's super obvious in hindsight. Those riffs are undeniably Dino.
I discovered them through a TikTok livestream
Bass player was just billy Gould from fnm
I found them in like 8th/9th grade and for years I thought they were actual drug dealing Satanists 😂
I met Dino on the first ozzfest in Massachusetts. I was working as a stage hand for 2nd stage. My friend Johnny F was his neighbor in Cali he brought me on the bus to meet Dino. Very cool dude.
Dino is way down to earth. Met him a couple times. Opened for FF a few times in the midwest 20+ years back. Then bumped into him on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood just walking around. He recognized me as well. Surprised me.
Funny...just got me thinking whwn I bumped into someone my old band opened for back in the day and THAT dude was just a dii>ick. F Robb flynn
I shot photos and interviewed them for Thrasher Mag some years back!!! Way super rad dudes!!!!! 🤘🤓🤘
my parents were pretty down to earth, and generally mellow about the 'shocking' stuff i liked. we communicated pretty well and they understood that i understood it was just art, and a lot of it was shocking just for the sake of it. i didnt have to hide my bongs, or lie about where i was going/what i was doing (even if i was going camping on shrooms, for example)....but i always hid my brujeria records. i felt like if they saw those album covers i would have lost all the trust and freedom i had with them 🤣 thanks dino ♥
Relatable.
It didn't take a genius to figure out that Brujeria was Dino in disguise. It literally sounded like fear factory in Spanish
He has a another band called asesino it's awesome
Lol fear factory in Spanish
Wouldn't know. Don't listen to FF.
Third album sounded FF in Spanish
Brujeria was before Fear Factory
As someone who loves Metal and just so happens to be Mexican, Brujeria is the best thing EVER!! To me Matando Gueros is pretty rough but anything after that is classic.
There music is eh, son omoseczuales.
I'm not Mexican but when I do meet a Mexican friend I yell to them matando guerros! Viva la raza!
Regresando Odio from Asesino is fire. Just about anything Dino does is good.
Don’t forget la ley de plomo!
DON QUIXOTE MARIJUANA
A friend told me once that his christian father beat him up and destroyed his cd player for playing Matando Güeros. It wasn't even his cd.
Yea that shit happend to me to back in HS. No parent was a fan of brujeria back in the days
I remember playing matando Gueros at a bars jukebox full of white people lol they had no idea what was being said 😂
@@willjimenez9013 😂
Grew up listening to Brujeria and got to meet Dino a few times back in the early 00's
I met Dino and Burton briefly in 2010. Cool dudes.
Haha shoutout to my home state in Mexico (Tamaulipas, where Matamoros is located), I was not expecting that
I remember reading about Brujeria in SOD magazine. The interview was good and convincing. Big fan from south texas. Have seen them many times and have met all the different members except two of the originals from demoniaco. Viva Mexico Cabron! 🤘🏼🇲🇽
Got that Magazine
Brujeria is Legendary. Will always be one of my favorites
I bought the Matando Güeros CD, took it with me to school and showed to some friends in class. One of them almost threw up after seeing the cover art. Still one of my favourite albums ever together with raza Odiada. All the narcosatanism, gore, brutality, mistery and aesthetics mean nothing if the music is not good, but Brujeria putting all that shit together...just amazingly genius. I hope some day Dino becomes involved again. Their last album is awesome though!!
I still have the original Matando Gueras CD. I bought it when I was 15, but I had the best dad ever because he had to get the CD for me due to my age at the time.
Dino seems easy to talk to , pretty chill guy
No, i disagree.
Dino is hella cool. Te9591 must be thinking of robb flynn.
Brujeria and AC were 2 of the 1st Grindcore bands I heard.
Same, man.
AxCx!!!!
Oh man that 2nd record was a kicker. Great catchy songs. Hechando Chingasos!
These behind the scene stories are where its at.
"Zapatismo no murió
Aquí tengo su espíritu
Aunque no creas en brujos
División del norte"
🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Awebo
I remember kxlu. I remember Adam Bomb. I remember The Final Countdown. Was my very favorite radio show. Met Dino at a practice studio in East LA very nice dude. Was showing Emillo Brujeria songs. Very cool. Saw FF in Lubbock TX about 4or 5 times
I was fortunate enough to see them back in 06 at the whiskey it was a bad ass show owners got so pissed that they cut off the mics as Juan brujo was singing "estilo OJ Simpson"😂 the fans where not happy at all
Acting as though they were the wickedest most demented band is another because well maybe the dramatic facade sells or maybe they are being authentic or whatever. If their music's bad ass im sure they'll be popular at least among their niche , genre but it sucked
@@JunkBondTrader27 stick to your grunge garbage
Fun fact: Brujeria played Matamoros México for first time until last year
Bahahaha barely? Posers
Yup, it was actually my brother the one who took them there
Tf is fun fact 😂
Probably my favorite death metal album of all time!
One of the coolest supergroups ever! 🖤
Thats awesome . I Blast “Brujeria” when i’m working out . Pumps me up . Loud
This is dope!! How did I not know about this? Now I know how I’m brushing up on my Spanish from here on out🤘🤘😁😁
man I remember hearing raza odiada in the mid 90s and it blew my mind
Remember the "Alarma" magazine from Mexico, it was crazy like a National Enquire magazine but with gore, murder scene photos, people against trains photos yikes it was brutal.
curious about if the bill gould thing eased up when patton did that first mr. bungle record? was he allowed to do that? I mean he's not credited as Mike patton on it? so maybe thats why the masks etc.?
I heard about them on some Rage Against the Machine newsgroup I think and found their CD in some small Italian town Teramo. Always loved them and wondered what the story was. I heard early on Dino was a part of it but not much beyond that. Hechando Chingasos is one of my favorite tracks of all time.
I love this band !!! Awesome interview!
Oh wow. I remember this song. 😂😂 the oj Simpson lyric always made me laugh.
I remember getting metal magazines back in like 1994-95 and looking at the cover of Raza Odiada in the adds, scary and not into it...especially as little gringo.
I love this band today. Newest album fking kills!!
Oh man I was listening to these guys when I was in middle school and Highschool around 03-07. Hadn’t thought about Brujeria in years. Still was thinking that they were Mexican Narcos!
Finally this homie talks to Mexicans and how they contributed to metal and hardcore and punk
I've also had Suicide Silence, Pierce The Veil and POD on!
I remember seeing this band in FYE at the mall and had no idea what was going on. The cover art was nuts. Now I know
To me, Dino's other band Asesino with Tony Campos of Static X is also very good. Asesino is a little more polished and has better song writing.
Pimp, Asesino is great but they are for sure not more polished and do not have better song writing than FF. Asesinos songs aren’t even meant to be taken seriously lol
@@spacegoat_3d801dude he was comparing Asesino to BRUJERIA not FF
@@angellucero5232 brujería is still more polished tbh
Asesino needs to just join Brujería again
I used to hang out at kxlu in Loyola and one time they gave me an entire crate of death/thrash/heavy LP’s for free; shout out to Naomi
i remember listening to these guys back in brownsville tx back in the day lol
right across from matamoros haha
Puro BrownTown 🤘
I’m very honored to have opened up for “Brujeria” at the “1720 warehouse” with my band “HEAVE” here in Los Angeles last year. You guys are always a great time live!!!

Scott Carlson( Repulsion) recommended Brujeria 7 inch to me over 30 years ago. Loved it.
Demoniaco
Didnt know Dino was behind this back in my school days 😳
perfecto! gracias
1:29 "matamoros mexico" heyy i live there, the story is well known: "los narcosatanicos"
I rem listening to the cassette matando queros
Thru the window drinkn 🤘🏽
Did he say Napalm Death? Do yous guys play fast tempos with out of time signatures?
Brujería! 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t speak a lick of Spanish but I will bop this banger of an album
They eyes never lie Chico
I thought Shane from Napalm Death was in them too!
He joined way later
Did he just say BURGUERÍA? Matando Burgers!
Demoniaco and Patrón ep were dark and pretty good. Matando Güeros was brutal and Raza Odiada is more technical yet savage. After that it was just ridiculous. Saw them live a few years back and they really sound terrible. Pinche Juan Brujo is so out of shape he cant hold his breath.
His beer belly flopping on stage is eye bleach worthy as well.
I thank Gnarcel Martinez and John Worthington. For bringing them into skate vids etc. Thats where i heard them.
Peto willson
Raza Odiada brilliant song.
O cara dos riffs esse dino cazares.
I have a best of - this band is so good!
The album cover is pretty badass
Subcomandante Marcos!!
Lore!
Incredible band!! I love the "gimmick" of the band & definitely think the controversy had helped push the band a lot better than if they had just been a bunch of guys standing on stage...😁 (Image/concept matters the most with music & most bands need to realize this.)
🖤🖤🖤their music was present during my teenage years and remember all the gossip about Brujeria😂... was so happy to finally see them live in Panama City
Oh wow no sabía
Juan Brujo interview WHEN?
I was in the army in the 90s and was punished with some guys to clean the mess hall into the night. One of the guys brought a cassette player and said: Check this shit out and blasted Raza Odiada in the empty hall. It was pure magic LOL
I always thought Brujeria was just everyone in normal bands playing wrong handed.
I always thought it was real 🤦🏻♀️
We used to wild out to brujería in SOUTH CENTRAL LA all through the 90s and 00s
I just missed them live not to long ago damn it shit
Brujeria is my favorite Dino band. Asesino a close 2nd.
did anyone else hear of them from the samplers dino rained on people at the old ff shows and early ozzfests?
I went to see them in buenos aires, back in 2005 or so, around 3000 people, i think i counted 3 women.
Going back on May in Ireland this time.
Next one should be the band The Stains grime east L.A
Anything that's made to piss people off even if it doesn't align with what I believe, I love it lol 😂
You would be considered what is called a “contrarian”, and in fact you do not have or hold any “beliefs” of your own, despite your claims to.
If you did actually have firm ethics/beliefs and morality- you would naturally empathize, sympathize, and respect others who have their own, regardless if it aligned with yours or not.
Instead, you get a dopamine hit from seeing anyone and everyone being disrespected “for fun”, probably because “it’s not that deep” to you.
To which I would say, it’s not that deep to you, because you’re incapable of feeling “deep”, being that you are a self-professed contrarian and likely a sociopath.
I wish Brujeria and Asesino would release some new stuff!
love it
Dang i missed them when they played with Lack of Interest in LA anyways they brutal 🤘
That's really super
I think a lot of people suspected Brujeria was fear factory. They sound similar
Juan Brujo was the shit. Quien los va cuidar? YO, EL BRUJO!
Cool Video I got 4 cds from Brujeria
Incredible band and musicians
That doesn't mean 'Black Magic', that means 'Witchery'. 🤦🤦🤦
Matando gueros
Ritmo satanico
Brujería means witchery not black magic but well it's the same
Black magic is a reasonable translation in conveying the idea even if it is less literal. Although brujeria might more literally mean witchery/witchcraft, there are still some cultural differences and connotations between the notion of a witch in the anglophone world and a brujo/bruja in Latin America that a direct translation might actually be more misleading.
As a child, I saw the sticker of this record at every skate park. Probably the most fukd thing I had seen in my whole little white boy life.
Brujeria should be like kiss..a brutal character 🤘🏽
Hahaha very Funny!! A Guéro hosting an interview about an album called killing Gueros!!! Lol
Shout out to The metal fans out-there!!! Family.😂🤟
Just found out ive been mispronouncing that forever.
Blk magic yes
Brujeria🤘🏽
Matando Hueros rules the world
Dudeeee ...Gueros
Pop Grindcore 🤣
I could never get into brujeria
Fins eyes were like "what do you mean kill white people"
I never held punk as being a logical genre of music, but never did I fathom that it woul become a tool for political elites.
That’s great and all but there is a lot more than that. Suicide silence that’s cool pod that is just a band that of course sounds typical numetal. I am talking about bands that have made an influence and people don’t know. Example,
The stains( these guys were on the black flag record co.sst records. They made an album before black flag. They purposely never released their Album because they purposely stole their style) look it up homie.
Los crudos ( one of the first openly gay hardcore singer.
Suicidal tendencies ( black and brown punk band)
And alot more I can go on for days.
Let’s not forget slayer!!!
Two members are Latinos not white.
Read mba read read read read this
When i had my band as a kid back in Puerto Rico we used to parody their songs during jam sessions for fun " like mamasela rico al brujo" XD
Dino said they were all professionals, but not Juan Brujo 😂😂
That band kicked major ass
