Honestly, Coruscant just seems pretty sad in general. The idea of there being little to no trace of nature and the city being built over for eons makes me melancholic. It really does make one wonder about an ancient coruscant with verdant fields and azure seas

Yeah the comic is from a young kid series, so the artwork is usually very childish, but the stories and events that take place are still considered canon.

That very well may be the case but found a rare pocket of life here. Remember this is a planet after all. A small pocket might be the size of a small forest or cave.
2 things i got from this
1.The lost museum showing the statues n such seem to show a bit like our time as some figures look like the Olympian gods
2. Holdo would been a great friend to anakin/vader both like to be dangerous with their flying :P
Now I'm curious to know what's on level 1-3 and how Coruscant got the way it. I now in the Old Republic MMO it's stated that an advanced alien race helped build it, but that's all I know.

I know a lot of people are complaining about the art but I love this story tho. I haven't read the comic but the idea of exploring the first 4 forbidden levels of Coruscant sounds awesome and now there's just 3 more to know about! I really want to know more, I watched a video recently about the levels of Coruscant and how the first 4 could contain some really messed up stuff or secrets and i'd love to see that tackled more in depth sometime. I'm incredibly mixed on Disney's handling of SW, but regardless I hope this topic gets revisited

@@nablis7287 our solar system is located in the "orions arm's", one of the many "arms" that our spirral Galaxy has, but we are not close to the core, to say it with a "star wars language", we would be at the "outer rim", or at the eadge of the "midd rim" at best

It’s mostly because dyed hair has become a stereotype for SJWs and SJW characters in recent years. That’s the main reason why people are criticising the hair dying thing.
Regardless, as much as I like Laura Dern in most of her films, I still hated Holdo and Dern’s portrayal of her too.

It's be interesting if we could see what the Star Wars galaxy looked like before the races of the galaxy took to the stars. Were they anything like us or did they go a different route.
The pre-Republic era is just begging to be explored.
I honestly would like a story where somebody came from Earth/our galaxy and ended up in the Star Wars galaxy. I think there was a comic about it where a guy who was an astronaut was on a mission only for something to go wrong and he apparently got sucked into a worm hole and ended up in the Star Wars galaxy. The guy suffered from culture shock, seeing aliens for the first time, etc. But what I liked most from the comic was how they explained the guy was like either millenias or ages behind the evolution of the current humans physiology in the star wars galaxy. They basically noted that he was more fragile, his immunity was weaker, and he wasn't as intellectual as all the other humans. They also picked up on long ago forgotten sicknesses as well. He even was being called "simple" or "mentally handicapped" but the guy wasn't. He was pretty much normal it's just he couldn't understand much of anything like alien languages and how a speeder bike runs. I really liked the comic and how the story was told about some guy from earth trying to prove that he came from a different galaxy and from a planet called Earth but everyone around him thought he was insane or mentally impaired. The struggles he had to go through understanding so many cultures, planets, systems, governments, aliens races,etc. was pretty interesting and I found the ending bittersweet how he could never go home but found a new life with an alien chick. Sad though that the website that originally had the comic was taken down probably by Disney sense it was around that time Disney was trying to get rid of all the "Legends" storylines. I tried looking it up online but I cant find it. Sucks now that most stuff you find about Legends stories are only on wikipedia now.

I always had a theory the solar system and its surrounding systems like proxima were deep at the unknown regions in star wars and when I searched it in Google it said that it was actually in the far outer rim but its just a theory but hey you never know and that comic is a cool story.

I don't think they are hinting at Coruscant being Earth, it's more of them exploring what this version of Coruscant looked like before it became a Metropolis.

Judging by the pod from 2001 A Space Odyssey that was found at the scrapyard in episode 1, I think Star Wars is just the result of what humanity became after the star child arrived back on earth after touching the monolith.

i like the idea of there being forbiden levels of Coruscant, which are filled with misteries BUT this story was just really bad and doesnt really fit Star Wars. I dont think that glowing hands belong in Star Wars and I dont think that having this be a fun adventure of TWO SENATORS - POLITICIANS, responsible for their entire planets and their reputation in the galaxy. This would be amazing as a part of a book of sorts. Maybe have a jedi, who escaped to the underground levels after the order 66, discovering those misteries and learning the history of Coruscant. That would be a thrilling story!

@@DaleESkywalker Well yes, but its still SW. It should be able to be enjoyed by both kids and adults. I understand that Disney wants to make comics for kids, but making those hude reveals in a kids comic line isnt very clever in my opinion.
In my opinion, a good kids SW comic, would (and should) entertain its younger viewers, while still remaining SW. I dont think that this pulls it off. And, to be honest this is a really bad setting for a kids SW comic book.
@@lugyd1xdone195, I'm fifty and I enjoyed it. It doesn't have to be the OT to be good. It doesn't have to look like Rebels or The Clone Wars to be good. It doesn't have to be perfect to get the story across. I don't understand why people get so attached to something they see as the original work and anything different can't be "as good" or even true to the story. I don't understand why people can't see there are infinite possibilities and different ways to look at things, or even reject a different perspective.
Why would you consider this to be a huge reveal? I wrote in one of the fanfic stories I'm writing that Leia's hands glow as she's putting on Rey's necklace she was given by the shopkeeper on Batuu. I think there's a leak she gets another necklace from someone on Pasaana - I'd do the same in that situation. It's only foreshadowing and I like it. It's not a "huge reveal". It's also about something that happened in the past that's pretty insignificant to the storyline. NOT a huge reveal.
Also... Leia is basically a "Jedi who _escaped_ Order 66". At least, from a certain point of view.

Unlikely. Coruscant is closer to the core of the galaxy whilst Earth is on our galaxy's rim. That and the fact Coruscant has four moons instead of one.
@@samuelbedsole5089 in the far future neither of those matter. Rogue planets are a thing, so earth might have moved from the edge to the center. Plus acquiring moons near the core will be far easier.
Sometimes I think that when they say "A long time ago, in a Galaxy far far away" it might be an outsiders perspective onto our Galaxy. However that can be easily refuted considering no one knows who said the line, that's it's canonically not in our universe, and that if it were in our galaxy that would imply Rey is in it.

I believe 1313 was simply the lowest densely populated level in Legends, and there were still something like 5000 levels. Disney canon says there are 5127.

It was period (around 1000 years), when religious cult Pius Dea taked control in the Republic. This cult prayed to the Goddess, and declared human supremacy. Several crusades was made by this cult. Many planets was purged by temple-ships from "dirty" aliens, that's why Central Core of the Galaxy still populated only by humans in common.
Ironically, Republic still was the Republic during this period, besides, this era was ended by betrayal of the Jedi order, who integraded virus in the navi-computers of the cathedral ships, what cause random hyperspace jumps, and they are put jedi master in the chansselor post.
Warhammer 40k-style era have a proper Latin-style name.
That comic art style looks like Resistance went 2D.
I like the implication of how Leia's a legislator in training for the Senate. It's reduced to just a bureaucratic post that you have to be trained for, just in case you say or do the wrong thing
