    Seems like a perfectly reasonable question for high school students. Why? because many of them are dating, and some are getting close to college age. I have multiple friends that got married before they were 21.

    • @747-pilot
      @747-pilot 3 роки тому +7

      Getting married before 21 is the STUPIDEST thing one can do! It is EXTREMELY rare that someone has their 'life in order" at that age. Instead, build a career, gain some experience, put a little bit of money "aside" and *_THEN_* think about tying the knot. Typically that means waiting at least till 25!

    • @sammyb861
      @sammyb861 3 роки тому +5

      747-pilot you’re saying that in a way that groups every single person into the same category and way of thinking. I got married before 20. I’m happily married and we’ve been building our life/career/goals together since getting married. Like Dave mentioned in the video, the number one reason for divorce isn’t age, it’s disagreements on money. Some people are ready to get married at or before 18 and some people will never be ready. Surprise surprise. It’s almost as if every single person is different and individual :)

    • @BlueDauntless

      @@747-pilotI was married at 20. We celebrated 17 years a few months ago.
      It’s not for everyone and has its own challenges, certainly.
      But I’ve seen people who waited and do it your way struggle. They’re already set in their ways and have a very hard time combining their life with their spouse.
      I got to “grow up” with my husband. We are learning and building together.

Also being truly honest, having trust and COMMUNICATE!! Talk about separate/mutual goals, agreeing on finances, bills, purchases, savings, children or no children, etc., so they BOTH have a CLEAR understanding of what they're BOTH getting into!!
