I ordered one. I plan on grabbing some PSB stratus golds I'm hoping this receiver will be able to feed them properly while doing 7.1. It doesn't have preamps out so I won't be able to add a amplifier sadly. But my budget wouldn't let me go much higher then $599 which it was on sale.
I’ve got the 933 model. That suits me fine. I’ve had no problems with it whatsoever… touch wood. I’m using stereo only, with direct mode and equaliser to improve the sound. i should have bought that stereo network receiver instead; but chose this particular model. There’s not an awful lot of difference with the 935. It has more watts out per channel. And has an 8k pass through Plus an extra HDMI In put. Thursday 16th March 2023. U.K. 🇬🇧 Southampton
Is there much latency lost plugging in my xbox hdmi in to the receiver and out to TV? I'm looking for least loss for this as I run xobx 120hz as my TV supports it but then Audio can be delayed sometimes with apps like kodi on the xbox. Thanks!
I figured it out. You have to switch the HDMI 4K/8K Signal Format to 8K enhanced. After that the VRR will be able to be activated with PS5 and XBOX Series X. You can find the settings in the system set up underneath input/output assign.
Has this new AV receiver have any issues with XBOX X connection and 4/120 hrtz and will the direct HDMI connection in the back for games, do HDR + Atmos, and all the other sound processing? Which Marantz and Denon and Yamaha had problems with waiting for update firmware etc?
Sorry for the late answer. The Pioneer VSX 935 supports 8k@60hz and 4k@120hz. There are NO problems known with HDMI 2.1 with this modell. like DENON, MARANTZ or Yamaha had in the past.
I've bought the 835 which is smaller and does not have any streaming and no Phono but full DD and DTS support the 535 does not (no DTS Decoder). All what I need, for Streaming I use an Orbsmart.
Hi dear I'm wondering if you could help me, becuse I have exactly the same receiver model. I would like to know: 1- How can I play music from USB flash in a shuffled way? 2- When I am listening to music from a USB flash drive, I turn off the receiver and turn it on again. Does it play again from the first song? What should I do to play the same song that I turned off? Thank you
I do not own this receiver but considering buy one because my VSX405 starts to have problems with the breaking sounds to all the audio output speakers and headphones alike (served me well over 25 years). A nonrelated issue with this receiver, but I recently install the Aux converter to my 07 Toyota Highlander, and it has the USB capable of playing from a thumb drive (only have on level of file, which it reads the CD number, 1-99, and songs in each CD, 1-99). But it has to be formatted in Fat32 or it won't read the NTFS format. Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver. In Amazon, people post the same question, and the answer is the receiver can play from a thumb drive plugged into the USB port. That doesn't explain much, only that it will play from a thumb drive. Here is the info from Amazon: Question:I see this receiver has a usb port. does it have usb read capability, for example to read and control playback of music files from a usb drive? Answer:Yes. There is a usb port on the front and one on the back. You can choose either one as a source. It can play standard audio file formats like mp3, wma, wav, flac, m4a, etc. It will display the directory on a connected tv and can be controlled with the remote to move to and select the desired folder or song. I downloaded the "Pioneer vsx 935 7.2 channel network av receiver" Manual and yes it only supports Fat and Fat32 format of the thumb drive with the USB 2.0 version. And more, here are some: USB Storage Device Requirements • This unit can use USB storage devices that comply with the USB mass storage class standard. Also the format of USB storage devices supports FAT16 or FAT32 file system format. • If the USB storage device has been partitioned, each section will be treated as an independent device. • Up to 20,000 tracks per folder are supported, and folders can be nested up to 16 levels deep. • USB hubs and USB storage devices with hub functions are not supported. Do not connect these devices to the unit. • If an AC adapter is supplied with the USB storage device, connect the AC adapter, and use it with a household outlet. • USB storage devices with security functions are not supported on this unit. • Media inserted to the USB card reader may not be available in this function. Furthermore, depending on the USB storage device, proper reading of the contents may not be possible.
Well, i have been using my pioneer VSX 933 for quite some time now; ( around 2018 i bought it) and have, never had any problems with it. i did have issues with setting the bass, and the equaliser at first when listening to 💿 CD music; But that’s all sorted now. i always thought, i would have been better off, buying that pioneer stereo network receiver for CD music; but, no… this model that i have sounds great now.. now that i know how to set the bass, ( cross over and using either large or small for bass) with my Wharfadale 9.1 speakers. Would not buy any other amplifier. Sounds great listening to classical music, pop, James last and UA-cam Rajshahi, Bollywood, Punjabi video music… and female vocal trance music ( Aurosonic, Costa, other trance artists) Thursday am 2nd November 2023. Im considering this as a possible replacement of our very old Yamaha 7.1 surround which has been amazing. Best sound, like being in a theater. So I hope this has at least as good sound or even better if possible. Things I would like to know, that are important: - during setup (or at any time) am I able to adjust volume level for each individual speaker, so as to balance out the sound in a room? On my Yamaha, it comes with a special microphone that I can set right in front of the sofa, then put the receiver in an auto-detect mode and it will adjust all speakers (7.1 surround) so as to balance the sound, so one side isn't louder than the other. Can this do something like that? - can you choose different options for surround sound? eg. raw 7,1 surround, letting the source come through as is, or changing it to an "enhanced' mode where it fills in the sound better? (other options?) - is there an auto-off after xx minutes of no activity or audio? - is the remote RF (radio) or IR (infrared) ? This is important. - can it handle speakers that are 4 or 6 ohm *THIS IS VITAL*. We don't blast the sound, so we're not looking for an over powered system. But we do need excellent sound, crisp highs, clear mids/voice, deep bass and thumping subwoofer sound. I plan to go look at this tomorrow.
Hi there I need your help. I have an issue with this receiver that says NG when I boot it up. I’ve tried disconnecting it and connecting it again and it just stays stuck there. I can’t even switch the audio source. Could you help?
From their manuals it states that NG is a fatal error: " If "NG" is displayed, immediately unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and contact your dealer." I recommend you do this as soon as possible.
Do you know if there is any way to have the front display show the signal output (Atmos, Dolby Digital and such), instead of the input? When I press the info button on the remote it will show, but only temporary. I am looking for the option for it to switch to show the signal and stay on the display screen.
Hi, I sent your question to the Pioneer representative and was sent this reply: Unfortunately there is no way to permanently show it on the receiver display ,due to physical size of the display, as it will always revert to the source; we found it easier to have it on the TV display. it will show both the input and output in one screen. Best regards, Martin Renaud @bestbuycanada
Both will be supportet - transmitter and receiver-mode! Try finding the PIONEER HP for your country and you can download there the manual of the VSX 935 and study it ;-)

У 935 только можно назначить сквозной сигнал на один из hdmi
