  • After the initial start, I balance the throttle body while using Tune ECU. Just making sure the intake vacuum is synchronized among all cylinders.
Please excuse not resetting the TPS sensor - seems like this video data is lost; I'll make a separate video about this (including basic Tune ECU operations) later in the tutorials

Hey, I was trying to balance my throttle bodies and cam across your videos. I bought the cable and downloaded the windows version of the TuneECU. No luck. It would hook up but I couldn't adjust anything. I just wondered if you had any advice. Maybe the TuneECU program I have isn't right?

Strange, on Tiger 1050 the battery size is 152x88x147, on Sprint ST 1050 the battery size is 152x88x131 even though the motors are exactly the same. And I was planning to put a 200 Ah battery on my Sprint ST, but I guess it won't work, it just won't fit )). Thank you for your informative video tutorials. everything is very clear and precise.
P.S. Tune ECU shows approximate values, it is better to adjust with vacuum gauges. The difference between the programme and the gauge is about 15-20%.
Although this is an English motorbike, not Japanese, it tolerates such errors without consequences.

The Varta Tx14 - 4 is: 152x88x147 and I had to adjust by sanding some plastic away from the mudguard tray (T2300666) and to fit the cables on the terminals I made some small modifications as well. The OEM Yuasa is smaller and lacks the capacity to keep up with upgrades. Can't really say how the Sprint ST/GT where build but looking at World of Triumph parts list the trays are different because of the fender design. Can't really tell since I don't know these bikes well. Best of luck in finding a suitable more powerful replacement. There should be one on the market.
Many thanks for the tip on Tune ECU. I still have a Carbtune laying around from the old days. I'll give it a go and see how it goes.

Did you vacume all hoses from airbox back up before starting?

No, is fine. The airbox needs to be solid and all hoses tight. If you want to “reset adaptation” with Tune ECU you could but cant remember I filmed this part. If you have a check engine light after couple of heat cycles then you should reset

If the program will work on an iPad or a windows 10 pc, I’d like a copy. How can you get one to me?
    Thanks
    Phil.

Do you have a link for your OBD2 cable?

Hi Jeroen. Its been a long time I bought mine and the brand seems to be no longer available. But there are others. Be sure to check Ebay or Amazon. You’ll need a OBD2 connector with a FTDI chip/16 pins (2 rows of 8) and a USB2 connection or higher. If you’re planning to use Windows 10 like I do.
Know a days Tune ECU is via Android and then you’ll need a dongle (Bluetooth connector) and a Tune ECU subscription so to keep it easy I recommend to the old ways. Try this one: www.befr.ebay.be/itm/126228348924?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=e2zvldr0qu6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=30EKbxnBTXi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
