    So this is a decent guide. There is a lot I'd like to add though;
You can change job inside eureka in the base camps. Useful if someone dies and you need to raise them.
Sometimes instead of calling out elemental, people will call out fairy. Just something to keep note of.
It is more recommended to keep all 5 magicite in the same line on your magia board and keep it tuned to offense at all times, even if you're a tank, murder as always is the best way to mitigate damage.
As well as your 70 job weapon you can also upgrade your 70 job armour with protean and anemos crystals, all this really does is make it dyable, although it does raise the ilvl of it enough to be considered for those min maxers on ultimates.
It is probably more recommended to try and get your level to a decent point before joining NM trains. At least in EU eureka players like to spawn higher level NMs first and you won't get crystal rewards unless you're within one level of the NM, the EXP reward is also inferior to just grinding normal enemies quite often.
If you're in a group of similar levelled people enemies 6 levels higher then you have the best EXP yield for grinding, if solo aim for 2 levels higher instead.
Mutated/adapted monsters give a lot more experience and should be sought out for level grinding. eureka.fernehalwes.org is a wonderful resource for this, if you enter your level and the area you're in it'll recommend an enemy that can mutate/adapt. It's up to you to use other resources to find it though since ferne doesn't seem to have all their locations.
At bare minimum get to whatever level gives you access to all aetherytes in a given zone so you can make it to all NMs in time.
If you're in a party with a player and they are more then 8 levels higher then you then you will not get ANY experience from fighting things (if they sync down for an NM and are then within 8 levels they will though) so keep that in mind.
If you are in a party, or have a full set of +2 elemental armour the dragon outside of the forge in pagos is actually the best source of frosted crystals. By killing 4 of the plant monsters near the forge and then making sure the dragon is the 5th, 10th and 15th kill in the chain you can grind frosted crystals extremely fast. Good thing to remember when doing multiple relics.
Something to note about the final relic step in pyros is it strips your weapon of all secondary stats. Once done Gerolt will upgrade your kettle from pagos to grind smouldering protean crystals to randomly add secondary stats back to it. If you don't do this keep in mind your complete relic weapon won't have any secondary stats ever. If you're intending to do a lot of eureka and go for BiS in BA you'll need to get some good secondary stats back on your relic.
Reflect farming is a lot faster if you strip all your clothes off and use as weak of a weapon as possible, the reflected damage is equal to what it would have done to you, so the less magic defense you have the better. Those white flames outside of the 41 aetheryte are especially noteworthy since even their aoes are magic, so after pulling them stand still and make sure reflect stays up. If they mutate they'll start casting holy which does slow things down a bit since they then stun themselves, but they're still the most effective levelling in pyros.
In Hydatos the Mammets in the top left corner of the map are good for reflect farming during the day, don't stand in their aoes and if it gets to night stop because they mutate and do physical damage instead. From 58 onwards there's an island towards the bottom right that swarms with sprites during weather, these are great for reflect farming, just be careful of lightning sprites, which put up shock spikes, if you're targeting them you'll autoattack and take damage from the spikes.
If you're a tank and especially a warrior, consider packing the bloodbath logos action. This will let you pull groups of the max level mobs and become essentially immortal for 45 seconds whilst doing aoes. Going back to our 5 offensive magicite the amount you heal with bloodbath scales on damage done so in this case the best defense is a good offense. Warrior can combo with Raw Intuition to do some disgusting pulls.
Ovni actually has a spawning restriction. They'll only appear whilst there are 8 people in the instance that have unlocked the ability to do BA. Ovni also has a self buff called fluorescence that gives it damage up, this buff stacks and can actually get a group in trouble if it builds too high. You can get around it if someone packs the Dispel L logos action, you'll often see people in Hydatos ask if someone has it in shout chat when Ovni is up.
Whilst the Cassie Earring, Blitzring and 2 magicite are optional, if you intend to spend a lot of time in eureka it may be worth getting them if you can, they'll just make your life a lot easier. The 2 magicite in particular are a godsend for tanks since it allows you to put 2 points into defense at all times whilst keeping 5 in offense, this combined with a eureka BiS tank can allow you to pull truly insane packs of mobs including every single pyros shuck in the area you grind for Skoll, bloodbath is insane.
Aethertight flasks from the silver coffers of bunny fates in hydatos are what you need to get more logos action slots. This can be an honest godsend if you're prone to dying a lot if only because it lets you have 6 backup logos action pairs, so less going back to base to refresh them.
A tip for getting logos actions quickly? Go to the marketboard and type in "logogram" they're tradable so if you have enough gil you can stock up on all of them fast. Makes it a lot easier to get the elemental armour.
If for some reason you do want the BiS the easiest piece to get is the chest, since it's the ilvl300 piece you get outside for the cloths/seals, the reason is Eureka syncs you down to ilvl300 and synced gear don't account for their materia. The rest of the +2 elemental gear is best for the elemental bonus but the 300 chest allows you to have a bit more power with materia. Add in the Cassie Earring, Blitzring and Physeos Weapon that's been loaded with smouldering crystals and you're pretty much good to go. You can optionally get some ilvl300 accessories from Ala Mhigo, Temple of the Fist or Kugane Castle if you want more materia stats, but that's reserved for the most hardcore Eureka players.

One thing I would like to add,
You can macro your magi board by using /magiattack
Just lock onto your enemy and use macro. Done.

    • @Lancun
      @Lancun 9 місяців тому +2

Something to note about ilvl sync in Eureka is that ilvl 300 gear is pointless once you have high-end ShB or Endwalker gear. The way syncing works is that it scales your gear's stats down to the ilvl, but not in the same proportions as the gear would suggest. This means that if you have the gear with ideal stats (usually Crit and DH/Det) it's going to sync down to the absolute maximum of each substat that is available at that ilvl.
This means that unless you're trying to meld for stats that you otherwise don't have access to (like DH for tanks since their gear never has it), never bother with lower ilvl gear. The stuff that syncs down will always be better.
And while the Blitzring and Cassie Earring are certainly the BiS options for Eureka, the difference is miniscule compared to someone with a good ring and earring synced down. Certainly not worth the millions you'll spend to get the small boost. The big thing you want is +2, Physeos gear, and the other two magicite.

I tried the light farming method outside the pagos forge you mentioned, but farming the lvl 36 snakes near the lvl 31 elemental FATE is better. a pull of 10 usually gives me about 90% of a bar. in other words, 1-2 of the snakes usually will give gentle light... which is surprising because that's more than many of the lvl 40 mobs.

As someone who plays at weird hours I want to add some tips: I have actually never found a NM train, mostly people prep them on their own or coincidentally end up helping each other out spawning a certain one, but even when we were spawning NMs back to back, there was still a lot of downtime for the people too low level to help, so if you're having the same experience as me and not finding trains as exactly described here, remember you can still go leveling by chaining monsters while other people spawn the higher level NMs. Stay solo until a NM appears, say you're on your way (OMW) and when you get there ask to be added to a group (or people do it automatically, they are nice like that) and after the NM is done, you can get out of the party and go back to chaining monsters for EXP until the next one spawns.
Another thing is that do know that you can help spawn NMs even when lower level. You can hit monsters of around your same level that spawn NMs to help out, or even easily AOE mobs 2-3 levels below you without risks, even as a DPS or healer.

Great guide! Much more concise and straight forward than others I've seen.
One addition for NM Pull Times I've noticed on my DC (Crystal) is that we generally don't use Eorzean Time but instead use the time remaining for the NM itself. Since NMs have a timer of 30 minutes it's not uncommon for the "PT" to be 27, meaning the pull will be when the NM timer has 27 minutes left. And the only insta-pull NMs I've seen so far (just about to finish Pyros at the time of this post) is Crab. Usually there's a rush on Cassie put people generally seem okay to wait a minute or two if needed.

Been using this guide since I started my Eureka journey about 2 weeks ago. I was finding myself in Eureka every night because it was such a fun and novel experience for me. The coordination with other players in Anemos was quite fun, and despite all the bad things I'd heard about Pagos, I genuinely enjoyed myself there and I don't believe I'd mind having to upgrade another relic there. I didn't have my challenge log to blow through it, but it felt like the levels were coming super quickly. Once you learn how to dodge enemies, it becomes much much easier to navigate the zone, but do expect to die at least once or twice if something goes wrong. Currently, I'm level 46 in Pyros and logos actions have added another facet of Eureka I like. I've mostly slowed down now though, as I've realized there's no need to rush. My friend calls me a masochist for wholly enjoying the Eureka Experience lmao.

It's not as intimidating as it looks and it does give off social experience I don't think you would get in other parts of FF14. It feels like every mob has different mutation rates, especially in Pagos onwards. So find one that feels like it has a high rate (that's also +1-2 above your level), equip a plate bearer logos action, and mass pull for easy xp.

Some tips for reflect farming, take off all your armor when doing it, the mobs will do much more damage to you and hence kill themselves faster.
Cast reflect before you get close to the mobs, the sprites aggro on magic casts and will hit you before reflect register if your too close. Once reflect is up, run in and cast again, and they will aggro, and you'll have no issues.
Also, getting a full set of the +2 armor/weapon with elemental bonus for a class is very good cause it will allow you to deal more damage and take less damage in all zones, so it can make farming easier if you want to work on more weapons/armor.

Hey! I've got a question. do you believe that substats from pyros light were nerfed with the stat squish in 6.0? all the other guides that mention 'good' stats say you should be able to see up to 200 on a single line, for a maximum of 1000, but 'good enough' is about 800.
all these guides could be wildly outdated, since stormblood was well over 5 years ago. do you think that there's a new, smaller maximum more in line with say 400-500? i've seen like 370 total substats once, and between 200-270 seems common now with 5 lines, and I've rerolled maybe 20 times now.

    • @bigbluepurple
      @bigbluepurple  Рік тому

I personally haven’t played around with the substats myself since I only got the relics for glam. I would imagine that the stat squish did change the maximum to a smaller value though in order to keep everything balanced. I couldn’t really find any information online about this either though so I’m not really able to give you a specific answer :( hope you have some luck in figuring this out.

In comes this video that solidifies my fear that I have eons to go still (just left the first zone) anything Eureka related (you too orthos) is such a slog as everything feels dragged out. Ty for the info - now I need to put a value on my time and determine if a mount is really worth another 50(?) hours of play.

Ozma is from "The Baldesion Arsenal" 56 man raid at the end of eureka hydatos. Start by going through the entire eureka questline. There should be a discord server for your data center that runs Baldesion Arsenal frequently. Just google "Baldesion Arsenal Discord (insert data center name) and you should be able to find it pretty easily.

hey! this is a great guide, just wanted to correct and add a few things:
-14:39: this is actually untrue. brothers adapt, not mutate, and letting them do so does nothing other than make them a little harder to kill. this is complete misinformation, I've literally deleveled and tested this myself and it doesn't give more light or experience.
-light gain is based on experience gain, and your best ways of getting light is by focusing on enemies that can mutate. generally though if you want a lot of light, join a coldbox farm, cassie prep, or crab prep and rake in the light. if you're focusing on gaining light, keep harmony potions active.
-in pyros and hydatos, you can make yourself borderline unkillable as a DPS or healer by using protect and shell on yourself and then using platebearer and bloodbath together. platebearer gives any non-tank about 7.5x more effective hp, and combined with bloodbath makes it possible to prep any NM solo provided you have the gear and know what your doing (especially for the higher-level NMs like penny and PW). i really recommend this setup to anyone who's leveling, excluding when reflect farming of course.
-generally your best EXP gain is going to be from enemies 6 levels above you if you can manage, notable for reflecting in Pyros and Hydatos as actually killing these enemies without help is difficult even when single-pulling.
-unless you want it for glam purposes, don't worry about buying the elemental armor chestpiece as a physical damage job or chestpiece and headpiece as a magical job. the kirin's and vermilion cloak are better than their +2 counterparts stat-wise. also, if working towards eureka BiS, upgrade your headpiece/hands/feet first, your legpiece second, and your weapon last for maximum efficiency. do not get the ilvl300 jewelry, as it is strictly worse than current gear synced down.
-If you have a question about Eureka, I recommend asking in one of the discord servers down below, as people who do the content are generally very happy to help and answer questions, as well as assist in leveling and providing stuff like Harmony Potions and Kirin's/Vermilion chestpieces.
-The 6th and 7th magicite are extremely powerful, and definitely recommended to get if you plan to spend a good amount of time in Eureka. I won't go into the math here, but putting them two slots ahead of your 5 will make you much more defensive than you might think. It's a much better use of gil, usually being about 6 million gil for all 3 of the magicite items, compared to Cassie Earring or Blitzring.
also, wanted to provide a (somewhat) comprehensive guide to discords for eureka (without links bc youtube comments, a quick google search will find what you're looking for) for your data center. If you're on JP servers, I can't help as I know almost nothing about the Eureka scene over there, but I believe Content Achievers is the best discord to look in.
    NA
-Primal has Primal Eureka & Bozja Enjoyers (PEBE) and The Help Lines (THL), with THL generally being a little more active with regards to BA.
-Crystal has Crystalline Adventuring Forays and Expeditions (CAFE) and Crystal Exploratory Missions (CEM). CAFE typically has several runs a day, especially later at night, while CEM no longer runs BA.
-Aether has Aether Bozja/Baldesion Associates (ABBA), which runs many times a day.
-Dynamis has had several servers try to run BA such as Dynamis Adventuring Forays United and Dynamis Baldesion Associates, but they are mostly inactive at this point. Occasionally runs will be hosted in community Dynamis servers and will usually be shared in the Dynamis Data Center discord.
-While not a BA server, Agents of Eureka is a very active server for Eureka farms, be it warped lockboxes, logograms, or big money NMs.
    EU
-Light has Eurekan Academy, Savage Lemmings, and Light Forays Group. I can't speak to the frequency of their runs, but from what I've been told they have runs most days. Savage Lemmings is more DRs focused, but occasionally runs BA, and is for German speakers.
-Chaos has Late Night, Pampa Finder and Conclave d'Exploration. Late Night runs several times a week, and while I'm unsure of the frequency of their runs Pampa Finder and Conclave d'Exploration are primarily French speaking.
    OCE
-From what I know, runs on Materia are primarily hosted in the Content Achievers discord.
