Seeing the souffle omelette take a half hour to make puts it into perspective just how impressive Yukihira's comeback on the buffet line was, since he was knocking out like 6 at once.
I love how your a professional! Ive been working in kitchens for about 16 years now. The way you hold your knife and cut, the way you eye measurements. Respect my guy. Love watching these videos.
interesting tip: place a wet towel next to the onions you're cutting. Will help quite a bit. The chemicals in onions that make you cry, always go for the nearest water source ;)
@@CHEFPKR I’ve also heard pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth helps, but you can’t really do that all the time if you’re talking to the camera so idk Edit: I’ve looked into it and it doesn’t seem to actually help so scratch that Some methods that actually work are cutting it under a kitchen vent/fan and freezing it before cutting it. A lot of other cooking channels try and make everything seem as perfect as possible and that kind of makes people upset or discouraged when they try and make something and it doesn't come out the same. Definitely enjoyed this video

That moment when Chef PK talks about doing a video with A5 Wagyu beef, only for you to realize that video already came out before this one did. Also have a question: For the beef patty, are you using a more lean or fatty ground beef?
Anime food in real life looks as good as they appear to be on the shows. I wish I could eat some too someday (the ingredients/equipment used are usually too expensive though). I hope that someday you could feature food from older cooking anime like Chuuka Ichiban, Mr. Ajikko, and Yakitate Japan. Or just... check the shows out even if you don't make anything from them. I grew up watching those and it's kinda sad not many people know about them cause they didn't come out when anime became more mainstream unlike Food Wars which almost everyone has heard of.
I love that these meals can be prepared in a reasonable amount of time! I'm definitely going to try the chilapian steak sometime next week! Followed you on Twitter now too!
I'm not sure if you're interested in doing another of these Food Wars themed vids anytime soon however there's a set I'd love to see done right. Breakfast: Erina's Eggs Benedict, Lunch: Yukihira's Chicken Gyzoa, Dinner: Yukihira's Roast Venison and chestnut. 😋
"If you are using this style of rice, make sure you wash it at least 3 times, so you know. The internet doesn't get mad at you" I understood this reference
I'd recommend saving the parsley stems to chop up finely to add to the tomato sauce they are much more flavorful than just the leaves. and the liquid will cook them down to be softer. the leaves are best for visual flair
I tried making the souffle omelette.. I made it without checking your video again and I did the exact thing you said not to do when recombining the whipped yolk and white... It was fluffy while cooking and about 3 minutes after plating, then it deflated. 😂 Had fun while cooking even though I was tired from work. Will most likely try again on my off day.
i love everything you do related to food wars and i also just love food so watching you always bring these great looking dishes to life is always going to be a highlight of the day for me

I love the omlet that way. Takes too much time in the morning to make it daily but a nice treat. Different sauces or toppings are nice on it too. I top my omlet with tobiko and sauce.
@CHEFPK You know, I haven't seen many people make any of the dishes from the Kingdom Hearts 3 Ratatouille Cooking minigame. So from that game I'd say Fresh Fruit Compote --> Crab Tomato Soup --> Filet Mignon Poele for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

yo you should try this trick, it will make your rice immaculate and last longer. wash it with white vinegar which helps rinse the excess starch from the grains, leaving fluffy rice without affecting the taste
23:05 yeah, the power-creep is what ultimately ruins this kind of shows for me. There is always someone better, always someone with exponentially more power, etc. first 3 seasons were ok, after that it became tedious.

Chaliapin steak is delicious. Though I deglazed and combined the sauce with all the onions. Really delicious, but maybe less balanced than Chef PK’s. Must try!
I have one thing to say to people. It is nutrient enriched jasmine rice. You are washing off the nutrients. After you are done cooking the rice yes there will be a hard film at the bottom. But if you stir the rice as soon as its done. And let it sit again for 30 min the hard film will be gone and the rice will have the added nutrients still.
Hey little trick when ur cutting onions take a wet paper towel(it can be any towel honestly) beside ur cutting board so u don't tear up cuz the thing that makes you tear up goe s for the closest water source which is normally ur eye but with the wet paper towel it will be the towel
Also if you wanna REALLY tenderize your steak even more, soak it in sour cream for an additional 30-45 minutes. It destroys it (in a good way) and doesn’t effect the taste at all!
Hey Chefpk, want to do a practical joke about Time? While cutting Thyme you can say "Oh look at that, I am really cutting the time short." and similar bad puns.
depending on the country your from, the difference between organic vs not certified organic is either entirely a placebo, or organic has stricter requirements that often make it less safe depending on what you buy. There is no place on earth where organic has a positive health or taste benefit
Not related to the video, but I just made some shakshuka eggs and Flatbread. First time making it, but it was delicious. It did get cold way too fast though.
Apparently, when you cut onions and your eyes start to sting, you should take a sip of water. I was cutting onions for pizzas some time ago and someone told me about this. I tried it and it was like magic, the way the sting just disappeared. You should try it.
Yakitate!! Japan's sitting somewhere wondering if anybody will try to make its bread. It might be better suited to the lab, but there's plenty of Ja-pan's that can be made, and a lot that you could recreate with interpretations. It's when you start getting into ones with bamboo charcoal or cannabis seeds that it gets tougher.
I wonder if you can use frozen onions when marinating(?) the steak? Also is it possible to whip the egg white by hand? Of the 3 recipes I would like to at least get the fluffy omelet correct. Maybe you can do the one piece 24 hours when the recipe book comes out. spoiler one of the recipes is the caveman chicken you did a few videos back for the TeamSeas fundraiser.
