Id argue ash blossom should be top 4 due to it being so strong and prevalent since its release with no sign of stopping. Im surprised gigantic chanpion sargas isnt mention as a honorable mention due to its ability to make therion king regulex even easier to add to hand and splashable into more decks that can make 2 lvl 4s for merrymaker or 2 lvl 8 to go straight into sargas.
His lists have never been really based on data and facts, it's just whatever he feels like, so you can really take it too seriously. If we're basing it on data, Ash would be #1, it's not even a contest.

Ash is the most played card and would be most played in the future if some of the higher spots were at 3, sure, but it's just due to being most generic. It was never a problem card which wrapped up a format, and in a lot of formats it was a low-impact hand trap.
It speaks volumes about how oversaturated DARK is in this game that even when FIRE gets such a good generic engine they still felt the need to make one of the monsters in said engine a DARK.
I know he's never been too important but Ultimate baseball kid holds a special place in my heart...if i got back into yugioh i'd live to see what synergy he'd have with the newer decks
You could continue this theme and do a top 10 for other attributes and types. Top 10 Wind or Earth could be interesting; then, Top 10 Reptiles or Wyrms.
Fire’s got a crap ton of stuff this year, and they recently released a recovery card called “Oil” which can recover any lvl 4 or lower fire monster, imo that’s insane that fire has a card like this

It always seemed funny to me how Konami printed 3 amazing Link-2 monsters meant to support their archetype’s main ED mechanic (Halq, Verte and Electrumite) only to then ban all 3 because they were all way too generic.
My favorite Fire monsters that aren't on the list are Miscellaneousaurus and Evolzar Laggia. I play a pure dinosaur deck in Duel Links, and these two are absolutely vital. Miscellaneousaurus enables just.. so many things??? And Laggia is a powerful negate that you can get on the field going first. They rule.
I guess The DuelLogs accepted my challenge. It's kind of funny how power creep has reached the point where the fire Dragon Ruler isn't even worth a mention on a Top 10 Fire monster list. When the Top 10 Wind Monsters list happens, I won't be surprised if Baronne is #1. Stormwinds will probably be top 5 with Kashtira Unicorn and Speedroid Terrortop being in there somewhere.

Once per turn, during the beginning of your draw phase, you can apply 2 of the following effects until the beginning of your next draw phase:_ ⚪️Reduce the Level of all FIRE monsters in both players' hands and on the field by 1. ⚪️Increase the Level of all FIRE monsters on the field and in the GY by 1. ⚪️FIRE monsters can be normal summoned/set with 1 less tribute. ⚪️The DEF of all FIRE monsters becomes 200 while they are in the GY. Edit: Just going to revise the 4th effect a little, because I realized how much stronger it is compared to the others in making *every* FIRE in the GY a rekindling target: _Pyre World_ Field Spell _All FIRE monsters gain 400 ATK. THERE, made the first 3 effects less “3 coughing babies VS hydrogen bomb” (that made me laugh actually)… I collapsed the first 2 effects together, added a new one that lets you search FIRE support spells/traps, made the normal summon one so that you can’t negate those discounted normal summons, and reigned in the fourth 1 so you need to declare a non-FIRE attribute or monster type first. Also, I made the effect be applied for EVERY draw phase, not just yours, but said applied effects also don’t last as long as a result. You can always reapply them of course. Edit 3, _fool me thrice…_ While I brainstorm a better field spell, I’d like to also share this new FIRE Ritual monster and matching Ritual Spell I made during another video after the fact. I think we brainstormed a fun little engine there: _Sun-Dance Courtesan_ (FIRE) Level 1 Pyro/Ritual/Tuner/Effect _You can Ritual Summon this card with “Sun-Dance Ritual”, and if you do: Inflict 250 damage to your opponent X this card’s original level (You can only use this effect of “Sun-Dance Courtesan” once per turn). This Ritual summoned card gains 250 original ATK X it’s original level, and additional attacks per battle phase X half it’s original level. Your opponent cannot target other monsters you control for attacks or card effects, except any face-up “Sun-Dance Courtesan”’s you control. Once per turn (Quick Effect), you can discard 1 card: Add 1 “Sun-Dance Ritual” to your hand (From your Deck or GY). @@katherinephilippakis1270 That’s the neat thing; they stack (also just fixed the typo in the first effect). So you can pick and choose 2 of the 4 that would work the best for you in a situation.
Honorable mentions: Black Rose Dragon and the Fire Dragon Ruler. It’s a shame that Fire monsters aren’t considered very strong, historically. Glad to see Konami making better support for the attribute.
@@blastmole299 yeah, but the card just hasn’t been out for very long, and it’s not even available in the tcg. For all we know, its success is entirely format dependent. Once it gets a few years to really prove itself more, then I’d say that.

I'm surprised none of the infernoble cards made it into this list tbh. Renaud specifically since any deck that could make Isolde can always tech 1 equip and 1 renaud for easy extension and in it's own deck it's the card you want to see the most.
I would like to see Lavalval Chain legal. Aside from Tear I'm not sure if any other deck would use it. Maybe Lunalight and Adamancipator back in the day. It would be nice to see it.
Why do we not have a list for Wind monsters? I really need one and I need to see if any Speedroid makes it somehow lmao; I do think it would be Terrortop out of any of them.
I know that the Battle Phase isn't that important in modern Yu-Gi-Oh (I'm still holding on to it though!), but one of my favorite Fire monster is Ultimate Baseball Kid for how fast and easy he can gain ATK. 1000 increase to his ATK for every Fire Attribute monster besides himself on the field. With the Extra Monster Zones, that means a potential 11,000 increase in his ATK power with his effect alone. And if you need a little extra damage after the Battle Phase, you can tribute another of your Fire monsters to burn for 500 damage (I forget if that's once per turn). Made it the main monster, if not boss, of an old Fire deck I made when I was younger.
I love Rescue ACE, but surprised it’s higher than Ash. Considering how Ash has a longer history and I basically a three of in every deck. Ash seems more influential in general. I understand how absurd setting four from the deck is as well. However, that’s not splashable, at this point. Turbulence is only in ACE decks whereas Ash is everywhere.
Seeing how the generic stuff underneath it is not banned, it's probably a case of "these cards are setting the power floor for modern Yugioh" type of influence while the rest of the cards are either specialized and busted in-archetype, or insanely degenerate.
Ash is very good. It's the best very good card. Everything above it is astoundingly broken. Turbulence itself is an insane card that, when made accessible, instantly made a deck tier 1. Ash ain't doing that. The rest are bannably good. It is an all time list, after all. If this was top 10 most played fire monsters, Ash wins by a landslide, lol.
@@TwoToneShoes to be fair, it was the rest of the ACE support and some other releases that pushed it to where it is now. Amazing Defenders got laughed at on release. Turbulence was always able to set four, but that in itself wasn’t enough to push the deck higher till it got support.
I do think that Ash deserved the first spot because it's such a good card that it warps the entire meta around it, and it's effect is so good that even Knami is afraid of hitting it for just how needed this card is in all decks.
Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis is such a good choice of name, considering Cluster Amaryllis alternative name is Lycoris radiata, and Red Spider Lily (Higanbana).
I had a fun idea for a FIRE/Reptile monster that would be a target for both “Rekindling” and “Snake Rain”: _Pyre Naga_ Level 4 Reptile/Tuner/Effect _FIRE and Reptile monsters you control gain ATK equal to their original DEF, and DEF equal to their ATK. You can shuffle 1 card from your hand, field or GY into your deck (Quick Effect): Apply 1 of the following effects (Each effect of “Pyre Naga” can only be applied once per turn):_ ⚪️For the rest of the turn, if a FIRE or Reptile monster you control destroys a monster by battle, it can attack again in a row. ⚪️Shuffle this card that is banished or in your GY into your deck. ⚪️Add 1 Spell/Trap to your hand (from your deck) that mentions FIRE or Reptile in it’s effects. ATK/2000 DEF/200
The fact we have like 4 different cards that are blatantly described as degenerate on this list and people in the comments were still able to point out some worthy contestants speaks to how uber broken a lot of fire monsters are

@@Deathmare235 Because, like I said, Ally and Flamvell need ALL the help they can get (Flamvell only has the 1 trap card period for starters. The rest of them are all monsters.) So I took the angle of these 2 archetypes working together and went further with it, making Emissary here a joint support card for FIRE and DARK monsters in general, while keeping in elements of those specific archetypes in this card (Like modified versions of the original magician’s ATK boost, focus on synchro summoning, etc…) Plus as a Pendulum _”Magician”,_ that makes it part of _at least 3 Archetypes,_ and thus gives Ally and Flamvell a new suite of options nobody would have seen coming. It may all look odd at glance, but anyone who sets aside their doubts and plays around with the card would likely find it plenty useful regardless. Also YOU try coming up with halfway decently performing custom cards in the middle of your 15 minute break at work.
If you haven't covered this already, how about best fire monsters that mention fire in the effect text? It's sad to see that pretty much all of these cards are on this list by accident.

If they wanted to make a functional errata to clean up the ban list, all they have to do is add a Kagari clause. You can only special summon "Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis" once per turn. Best Earth, Water and Wind monsters please. We all know that Light and ESPECIALLY Dark have the largest card pools, but let's get some love for the other three attributes like Fire just got.

Uria, Lord of Searing Flames should be in the list, being what amounts to a god of fire. Along with it, the list could also have Black Rose Dragon, Number 61: Volcasaurus, both Rank 4 Evolzars, Ultimate Baseball Kid, Fox Fire, Flame Swordsman (just for being iconic, which is also another reason Uria should have made the list), Volcanic Shell, Volcanic Doomfire, any of the FIRE Elemental HERO fusions (as they're all good), Blaster Dragon Ruler, Command Knight, Sacred Phoenix of Nephythys, and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried.
You should just make a "most ICONIC fire monsters list" and include stuff like Uria, BLaster Dragon Ruler, Black Rose, Flame Swordsman, Nephythys, etc. also make sure that the most iconic fite monsters list COMPLETELY EXCLUDES any cards that were in this vid's list.
I would argue that Ash Blossom should be higher. It might not be the most Powerful, but its existence is what keeping the format in-check, and it is included in most deck. It change entire dueling landscape, as people now would consider a deck to be top-tier only if the deck won't die to a single Ash Blossom. Also I would put Blaster on the list.
Another VLogs video overhyping banned cards... you never learn your lesson old man... Spellbook of judgment, yata, pot of avarice, change of heart, etc. taught you nothing after flopping fresh out of the banlist? Yugioh is a different beast from what it used to be 6-10 years ago, so I would be cautious rating old cards(mainly cards pre links era). It's still a nice history lesson, I guess.

Not to simp for the PDF files that have her on their card cases but Ash blossom is arguably the best card in the game that is still legal let alone the best fire monster. Without a doubt #1 due to how long it’s been played and how many decks that have topped that use it. Unrivalable.
I feel like these cards wouldn't be as bad if they weren't generic, especially the extra deck monsters. Electrumite was specifically made for Metalfoes, so they shouldve just made it require a Metalfoe Pendulum monster to go into it. Thats Konami's problem. They're making most of these ED monsters nowadays generic and thats why they get ban worthy. Because every deck that can use them will find a way to make it busted.
Shame that Cluster Amaryllis one of my fave cards never got erratad to be usable. Special mention to Lonefire Blossom's insane effect and Black Rose dragon the heavy storm+Dark hole nuke
Ash is the most played card in the game, it's responsible for so much in card design, deck construction, and the way the current game functions. The only cards that should be above it are the banned ones.
I know this will never happen because no one cares about Lavals, but I really wish Chain would either get a retrain or an errata. Seriously they could change the summoning requirement to be 2 lv 4 Fire Monsters or even 2 lv 4 Laval monsters.

If Diabellestar was a fire monster she was definitely gonna be on this list because she is such a good enabler for so many fire attribute decks.

Idk, Diabellestarr/Sinful Spoils is so generic it's used in lots of decks that use the gy like Tear and Horus

I guess The DuelLogs accepted my challenge. It's kind of funny how power creep has reached the point where the fire Dragon Ruler isn't even worth a mention on a Top 10 Fire monster list. When the Top 10 Wind Monsters list happens, I won't be surprised if Baronne is #1. Stormwinds will probably be top 5 with Kashtira Unicorn and Speedroid Terrortop being in there somewhere.
Ok, so you know how “Umi” is the most supported field spell in the game (albeit like how “Harpy Lady” has a bunch of other cards that take up it’s name)?
I was always thinking how FIRE monsters should have their own equivalent set of field spells, something like…

_All FIRE monsters gain 400 ATK. Once per turn, during the beginning of your draw phase, you can apply 2 of the following effects until the beginning of your next draw phase:_
⚪️Reduce the Level of all FIRE monsters in both players' hands and on the field by 1.

THERE, made the first 3 effects less “3 coughing babies VS hydrogen bomb” (that made me laugh actually)… I collapsed the first 2 effects together, added a new one that lets you search FIRE support spells/traps, made the normal summon one so that you can’t negate those discounted normal summons, and reigned in the fourth 1 so you need to declare a non-FIRE attribute or monster type first. Also, I made the effect be applied for EVERY draw phase, not just yours, but said applied effects also don’t last as long as a result. You can always reapply them of course.

While I brainstorm a better field spell, I’d like to also share this new FIRE Ritual monster and matching Ritual Spell I made during another video after the fact. I think we brainstormed a fun little engine there:

Your opponent cannot target other monsters you control for attacks or card effects, except any face-up “Sun-Dance Courtesan”’s you control. Once per turn (Quick Effect), you can discard 1 card: Add 1 “Sun-Dance Ritual” to your hand (From your Deck or GY). If this card that was first ritual summoned would be banished from your field or GY: Add it and 1 “Sun Dance Ritual” (from your hand, deck or GY) to your hand instead._

That’s the neat thing; they stack (also just fixed the typo in the first effect). So you can pick and choose 2 of the 4 that would work the best for you in a situation.
Honorable mentions: Black Rose Dragon and the Fire Dragon Ruler. It’s a shame that Fire monsters aren’t considered very strong, historically. Glad to see Konami making better support for the attribute.
In a few years, Promethean princess would def qualify for this list.

@@blastmole299 yeah, but the card just hasn’t been out for very long, and it’s not even available in the tcg. For all we know, its success is entirely format dependent. Once it gets a few years to really prove itself more, then I’d say that.
Promethean's downside is that there isn't many link 4 or higher fire monsters.

I'm surprised none of the infernoble cards made it into this list tbh. Renaud specifically since any deck that could make Isolde can always tech 1 equip and 1 renaud for easy extension and in it's own deck it's the card you want to see the most.
I would like to see Lavalval Chain legal. Aside from Tear I'm not sure if any other deck would use it. Maybe Lunalight and Adamancipator back in the day. It would be nice to see it.
Why do we not have a list for Wind monsters? I really need one and I need to see if any Speedroid makes it somehow lmao; I do think it would be Terrortop out of any of them.
I know that the Battle Phase isn't that important in modern Yu-Gi-Oh (I'm still holding on to it though!), but one of my favorite Fire monster is Ultimate Baseball Kid for how fast and easy he can gain ATK. 1000 increase to his ATK for every Fire Attribute monster besides himself on the field. With the Extra Monster Zones, that means a potential 11,000 increase in his ATK power with his effect alone. And if you need a little extra damage after the Battle Phase, you can tribute another of your Fire monsters to burn for 500 damage (I forget if that's once per turn). Made it the main monster, if not boss, of an old Fire deck I made when I was younger.
I love Rescue ACE, but surprised it’s higher than Ash. Considering how Ash has a longer history and I basically a three of in every deck. Ash seems more influential in general. I understand how absurd setting four from the deck is as well. However, that’s not splashable, at this point. Turbulence is only in ACE decks whereas Ash is everywhere.
Seeing how the generic stuff underneath it is not banned, it's probably a case of "these cards are setting the power floor for modern Yugioh" type of influence while the rest of the cards are either specialized and busted in-archetype, or insanely degenerate.
Ash is very good. It's the best very good card. Everything above it is astoundingly broken. Turbulence itself is an insane card that, when made accessible, instantly made a deck tier 1. Ash ain't doing that. The rest are bannably good. It is an all time list, after all. If this was top 10 most played fire monsters, Ash wins by a landslide, lol.
@@TwoToneShoes to be fair, it was the rest of the ACE support and some other releases that pushed it to where it is now. Amazing Defenders got laughed at on release. Turbulence was always able to set four, but that in itself wasn’t enough to push the deck higher till it got support.

I do think that Ash deserved the first spot because it's such a good card that it warps the entire meta around it, and it's effect is so good that even Knami is afraid of hitting it for just how needed this card is in all decks.

Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis is such a good choice of name, considering Cluster Amaryllis alternative name is Lycoris radiata, and Red Spider Lily (Higanbana).

Because, like I said, Ally and Flamvell need ALL the help they can get (Flamvell only has the 1 trap card period for starters. The rest of them are all monsters.)
So I took the angle of these 2 archetypes working together and went further with it, making Emissary here a joint support card for FIRE and DARK monsters in general, while keeping in elements of those specific archetypes in this card (Like modified versions of the original magician’s ATK boost, focus on synchro summoning, etc…) Plus as a Pendulum _”Magician”,_ that makes it part of _at least 3 Archetypes,_ and thus gives Ally and Flamvell a new suite of options nobody would have seen coming.
It may all look odd at glance, but anyone who sets aside their doubts and plays around with the card would likely find it plenty useful regardless.
Also YOU try coming up with halfway decently performing custom cards in the middle of your 15 minute break at work.
Lavalval Chain is a rank 4 Beatrice that is usable on your turn only. Probably giving it a errata to its effect activation would be enough.

If they wanted to make a functional errata to clean up the ban list, all they have to do is add a Kagari clause.

Uria, Lord of Searing Flames should be in the list, being what amounts to a god of fire. Along with it, the list could also have Black Rose Dragon, Number 61: Volcasaurus, both Rank 4 Evolzars, Ultimate Baseball Kid, Fox Fire, Flame Swordsman (just for being iconic, which is also another reason Uria should have made the list), Volcanic Shell, Volcanic Doomfire, any of the FIRE Elemental HERO fusions (as they're all good), Blaster Dragon Ruler, Command Knight, Sacred Phoenix of Nephythys, and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried.
You should just make a "most ICONIC fire monsters list" and include stuff like Uria, BLaster Dragon Ruler, Black Rose, Flame Swordsman, Nephythys, etc. also make sure that the most iconic fite monsters list COMPLETELY EXCLUDES any cards that were in this vid's list.
You know what's funny? The card image you used for #1 is a misprint. It says 'Sea Serpant' when it's supposed to say 'Sea Serpent'.
I would argue that Ash Blossom should be higher.
It might not be the most Powerful, but its existence is what keeping the format in-check, and it is included in most deck. It change entire dueling landscape, as people now would consider a deck to be top-tier only if the deck won't die to a single Ash Blossom.
Also I would put Blaster on the list.

Yugioh is a different beast from what it used to be 6-10 years ago, so I would be cautious rating old cards(mainly cards pre links era).
It's still a nice history lesson, I guess.

Not to simp for the PDF files that have her on their card cases but Ash blossom is arguably the best card in the game that is still legal let alone the best fire monster. Without a doubt #1 due to how long it’s been played and how many decks that have topped that use it. Unrivalable.
I feel like these cards wouldn't be as bad if they weren't generic, especially the extra deck monsters. Electrumite was specifically made for Metalfoes, so they shouldve just made it require a Metalfoe Pendulum monster to go into it. Thats Konami's problem. They're making most of these ED monsters nowadays generic and thats why they get ban worthy. Because every deck that can use them will find a way to make it busted.

Ash is the most played card in the game, it's responsible for so much in card design, deck construction, and the way the current game functions. The only cards that should be above it are the banned ones.
