    Hi.great video.enjoyed it.always people quick to remind us of rules and regulations.so glad every inch of the UK isn't owned by someone.we wouldn't be able to do anything.will have to do some research into how easy or difficult it is to seek permission to enjoy our beautiful countryside.i do get the other side of the coin in respect of some people that don't have the common decency to look after and respect these places.most people have a love for the outdoors and wish to experience it in a basic wild form as apposed to using a campsite.oh well I've had my little rant.hope I haven't offended anyone.

      Thanks phillip for the view. Yes i agree with you there’ How else are we supposed to enjoy this beautiful country of ours… its all about respect and leaving no trace. But unfortunatly the small percentage ruin it for us all.

      @@bushcraftwithell9884 Actually there is no right for Wild Camping (non paid) in law anywhere on private land in UK without express permission (all land in UK is private land including Common Land and National Trust land (it is still privately owned)) and there is no right for open fires on private land. However as you state............... as long as you leave no trace, don't be foolish, choose safe areas for fire and have good etiqette and no trace left then no private land owner would usually bother you! Hey bro I have an idea. Me and you can do a bushcraft fort design contest and we will have a certain amount of time to build our forts and once the time is up we will have to quit building and we will let the people decide which one is best. It will also help both of us get more subs and views and it would be fun and a way for us to test our bushcraft skills.

    The wild camping, the campfire. Both illegal. Did you obtain a permit for the fishing from the landowner? All completely illegal and a breach of Lake District National Park Authority regulations....... The land you camped on does actually belong to somebody. Unfortunately the Lakes is not one big free for all. The LDNPA issued over 700 penalty notices/fines last year for breaches of the regulations, including wild camping. They anticipate an increase on those figures going forward, as they have increased both the number of Wardens, plus the patrols they undertake. Read the regulations guys, you are breaking the law! It IS possible to wild camp in the Lake District, but the express permission of the landowner has to be obtained. And even then, no more than two tents can be pitched for ONE night only.....

    • @bushcraftwithell9884
      @bushcraftwithell9884  3 роки тому +1

      Tottally get your point mate but lighten up a bit we arent harming anyone and left absolutely no trace whats so ever, Bit of fun aint it.

    • @Brian-om2hh
      @Brian-om2hh 3 роки тому +1

      @@bushcraftwithell9884 Dress it up however you like. It might be "fun" to you, but it's still illegal in the Lake District and you can be fined for it if you're caught. What if the landowner just didn't want you camping and fishing there? Do you consider your garden to be private, or would you be ok with it if someone just rocked up, pitched a tent, and had a campfire without bothering to ask you first? Because that's exactly what you did! And you did leave a trace. Two traces in fact. There would be scorched ground where you lit your illegal campfire.....and fewer fish if you caught any. Read the regulations..... Like I said, there is no "free for all" land in the Lakes. Every bit of it has an owner, or is managed by somebody.... Just don't complain if a Warden appears out of nowhere and slaps you with a penalty notice. As I understand it, the LDNPA are going to increase their number of Wardens for 2021, plus they are to use on site cameras to monitor locations often used by illegal campers in order to be able to police more effectively.... Visitors to the Lakes are always welcome and have been for decades, but there do unfortunately have to be regulations in place, otherwise there would be hundreds of little patches of scorched ground everywhere after people just had a bit of "fun". Many of those whom live and work in the Lake District rely on the tourism for their livelihood. If the place evolves into a sh*thole, then at least two things may happen. You and many others wouldn't want to come here anymore, and those whom rely on the Lakes for a living would suffer as well. Hopefully this helps you to see it from our point of view...... All we ask is that you follow a few simple rules while you are here, because this is the only Lake District we have and we can't afford to see it spoiled. Incidentally, it seems as though we may be about to enter another period of lockdown soon. Whatever you do, don't try to come here during a lockdown. The powers that be absolutely hammer anyone they catch here while in a lockdown. Each fine is usually in the hundreds of pounds...... well the last lot were anyway.

      @@Brian-om2hh The ground wasnt scorched it was a rock bed a few inches under hence all the rocks around and im experienced in knowing how to leave a fire even on the dryest of ground. And yes i tottaly get were your coming from, But if that were the case lake district has thousands upon thousands of people wild camping every year are they just supposed to stop. Yes your right its probably owned by some rich snob or the government in which case as long as i respect the land and leave no trace im not too bothered what they say at all if im honest as they are the reason our country is so corrupt and leaving millions of people out of pocket. I have permission to use hundreds of acres nearer to my home in which i normally use but i know of hundreds of people who camp lake district and wont be stopping any time soon without any disrespect to you as i gather your a decent guy and i tottally get were you come from in your views.
