I was zooming through Snapchat when I found this article, but it kept bullshitting me with irrelevant side stories and filler that I just googled the title instead. Who else is from Snapchat? Edit: guess they put this article back up after every couple weeks.
I think a bigger challenge would be trying to fly on commercial airlines. Unless you fly first class, trying to fit into those seats at 400 pounds is a big challenge.
Everyone needs to read Salt, Sugar, Fat. The amount of money and engineering and science and research and development that goes into creating convenience food is staggering. Mouthfeel, blisspoint, crunch factor, its really remarkable the lengths food manufacturers go to keep their demographic addicted. Philip and Morris who owned and ran General Mills for decades applied the same marketing and science they used to sell cigarettes, to selling processed food
I’m so happy for them! I lost more than 100lb myself in the past 3 years and God it feels amazing. If you’re reading this, you can do it, it’s not hard. Just quit soda and don’t eat and sleep. And most importantly, go to the gym and walk more. It’s not difficult believe me❤️
I've lost 27 lbs in 9 weeks and one thing that has kept me on track is keeping a log of literally EVERYTHING I eat or drink. There are some great phone apps out there 😀
Wow, that's amazing ! I sit here at 250 lbs @ 5'2" and am so inspired to do the same. Where do I even begin ? Wait, I know. First I have to quit smoking. I can't hardly walk 20 feet w/o being out of breathe. Just awesome you guys
She said she didn't want to feel like she was in her 50's and tired all the time. What a long held belief that 50 is old and tired. I tell you what ...not in my experience...I'm 50 and have a ton of energy !
Karin Williamsen well when you’re in your 20’s you do think 50 is old! Lol then once you get in your 30’s and 40’s you realize it’s not! (I’m 42 and, besides being overweight, feel like I’m in my 20’s still)
I've been following both of them. I've lost 80 pounds so far on my journey my weight gain came from a back injury so exercising is a challenge. I cut out sugar from my diet and watch my carbs. I started at 425 I'm now 340 my goal is 170. I started in august of 2019 and it's now February 2020 and I'm still losing weight.
Congrats to them. She doesn’t want to be in her 50s and tired all the time. 😂 Ummmm… Rest assured really old people like 55 year old me are not sitting in rockers. 🤦🏼♀️
People wake up . If you are healthy no health issues start today. I am 154 pounds forever I feel . I tried everything. I have 5 herniated disks in my back and neck . Knee injury. To top it all off si got hypothyroidism. Please it hurts everyday. I wake up with pain ect. If don’t have anything wrong with you don’t wait till you do
I read your article, looked at the pictures and progress, was amazed/stunned/shocked at not only your fortitude but absolute dedication and motivation for such a monumental task! You both started out with a goal, plan, (reverse?), and perhaps a timeline-WOW! I was so impressed along the way. Just seeing the pictures and the captions is only half of the story; but, let me praise you, extol you; and, definitively thank you for showing people that if it is in your mind, heart, and soul, anything is possible. I wish you the best life, all the way around, and BTW, you have a beautiful Golden! An RN who is so proud! S
She did not have surgery, actually she’s going to for loose skin on 10/31/2018 But only because the excess skin is causing pain and stress on her back and legs, so no never had surgery. Go to her Instagram fatgirlfedup
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Love Lexi AKA Fat Girl Fed Up. Found her and hubby on UA-cam last year and following ever since. So proud of both these folks!!! 💜💜
That's a huge problem in America: the - as Lexi calls it - average people who love fast food.. fast and easy -and who take the car for errands that only need a 5-minute walk, and use plasic forks and paper plates for every meal. Lazy, unhealthy, and irresponsible. It's so, so wrong on so many levels. Gosh. I am happy these two have overcome it
The fact that people like to shame people who have surgery to help lose weight is so ignorant. There is no more hard work that is put into doing it yourself as there is to having bariatric surgery.
Hey son I am 165 graduated from high school and doing diet to get the abs out due to that I run alot so my abs cannot see it as a person who goes to gym Ppl that run y can onli see theyr defined body when they are running
Without gimmicks without surgery its just hard work... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Let me just say that weighing 346 pounds myself and trying year after year to lose weight and getting bigger and health wise worst having weight loss surgery IS HARD WORK. For those that dont know it is a TOOL and it is then left up to you to do the hard work and lose the weight. You can still gain every ounce back if you go back to old habits. Im not mad but for the ones that have worked their butt off like myself this is kind of a rude comment. She should have worded that differently!!! I lost a total of 190 pounds by having the VSG and going to the gym 6 days a week faithfully for 3 years. Its not taking the easy way out when you lay on the table and not know if you will wake up to see another day. Congrats to the both of them that is AWESOME!
Now did you have loose skin or did that go away with the exercising? I'm just curious because if it did shrink and you didn't have as much loose skin I like to know what you did to do that. Great job!!!
She still has loose skin. But she looks so much better than before! Honestly, you can tone up a little with exercise, but the biggest factor whether you have loose skin or not is genetics. Some things just can't be helped!
if you had to lose 45lbs, and you walked with a walker and didnt have a car to get around, and you are weak on your feet what would you say to do to lose the weight, i weigh 226. and i want to get down to 186 my history is i have had 2 knees done and lower back surg and rt shoulder replacement; love connie

Why am I more proud of the fact that they kept a New Years resolution more than the fact that they actually lost that much weight?
I love how she kept saying "We couldn't ride roller coasters"
I know right!
I think a bigger challenge would be trying to fly on commercial airlines.
Unless you fly first class, trying to fit into those seats at 400 pounds is
a big challenge.
That’s the same thing I used to think over and over again

It's always the food. It's not people, it's the food that is chemically addictive. So dont judge when u see a heavier person
That's so true
That's a really good point. The emotional/psychological/trauma side is also really strong but your point is really good and often ignored
Everyone needs to read Salt, Sugar, Fat. The amount of money and engineering and science and research and development that goes into creating convenience food is staggering. Wtf are you stupid

Don't eat and sleep wtf
Ricky Bobby i meant don’t eat and sleep right after.
@@thefbi5352 Don't eat right before going to bed. You didn't get that?
@@poordegenerate Doesn't matter, calories are calories regardless of when you eat them.
@@sidefx996 , You are telling that to a person that loss a hundred pounds? The OP is correct.
Geez. They’re so down to earth. So happy for them!
It's a travesty that we have been lied to about what a healthy diet looks like. I am done with grains and sugar.
There's hope for me.
clyde Ray hope is for everyone but they are motivational
Of course there is!
Theres hope for all!!! 💪
Of course there is! You can do it, anyone can!!
ALWAYS. 😊
Having a buddy is the way I got started! You just have to find the right person!
Cut out processed foods and sugar, eat more fat and you will lose weight and not be hungry.
My bmi is 22.
@Citizenthirteen u have no idea what you're saying
@@ginayang1331 Its a keto thing. He's completely right, You wouldn't understand without research.

Fanta vids they do that on purpose -.-
Jackie Guevara I know 😂 they catch me every time
Congrats! They look great! We need more stories like this.
Losing weight is easy, keeping it off for 5 years is the real challenge!
We don't need stories like this because some time it can be dangerous, and I'm from future believe me she is on medication right now.
She said she didn't want to feel like she was in her 50's and tired all the time. What a long held belief that 50 is old and tired. I tell you what ...not in my experience...I'm 50 and have a ton of energy !

I've been following both of them. I've lost 80 pounds so far on my journey my weight gain came from a back injury so exercising is a challenge. I cut out sugar from my diet and watch my carbs.
