this is useful for people (me) that doesn’t have english as their main language. i personally have changed youtube to be displayed in english on my iphone.
I don't use iPhones but I like the features I see on the upcoming iOS 16. I don't see myself using this language feature tho. Google translate feels kinda weird for me I don't know why. haha..
I’m bilingual and I just use English for all apps. Apps in other languages including my native language are sometimes hard to understand because of the word choices.
Yeah I speak 4 languages and all my Google apps are in Zulu. It works well enough but I wish gboard could consolidate the languages I text with into a single personal dictionary
Out of hundreds of apps I have installed, only 12 support this feature. And it's been a while since 13 came out. Some apps have translations, but hardcode their language to the system language. Other apps have a language toggle deep inside their options.
I speak Spanish, but I prefer my apps in English, but some apps forcefully take system language, this will be really useful. (and if you ask why I don't set the system language to English, I did once, but there were a few problems with things I needed for my day to day with not having it in my native language)
Specially to read the messages from my friends in multiple languages or to tell her to play a foreigner song without trying to guess what would be the weird pronunciation with English sounds. We bilinguals suffer a lot from success
We need more apps use this function! Especially those google apps! Some google apps, such as Google news, even don't fit material you, that's unbelievable.
Its weird enough that I cannot get rid of subtitles in youtube or get native english websites or google search results translated to german. I dont want to check any german stuff in aome cases....so its bothers me and makes me mad...especially the subtitle thing on youtube. I constantly have to hide subtitles...and all the settings dont work (google, youtube settings dont work properly).
Use your pc, bootloader. It will work. Install the android 13 manually. Even Samsung s3 can collect android 13. Just do it manually. Install it , use your pc, unlock the bootloader, download the software, install it.
Exists on iOS since many years. It's in the app settings in the system settings. You might have to restart the app after changing the language. Also, not all apps support it but most of it.
yeah that feature fix the irritating thing about google assistant, now I can have two languages in my Google assistant, thank you google for taking care of "the rest of the world"
As a Portuguese native speaker, sometimes I use apps auto translated and they're awful, so having the option to turn it off for some apps might just be a scenario in witch I may turn the settings on my phone back to Portuguese, this is great!
This feature is on iOS and works but is kind of pointless. Apps that need (and have) this feature are apps with built in region settings like amazon, psapp, nintendo, etc.
Actually atm you can only change the language for a very small amount of apps, I'm extremely disappointed... This was one of the most exciting features for me as a quadrilingual person

That's amazing
You are not just interesting and informative, you're helpful. 😊
I’m bilingual and I just use English for all apps. Apps in other languages including my native language are sometimes hard to understand because of the word choices.
Cool and all that but I prefer your native vertical made Shorts
You can also go to the settings page on the individual app to do it.
For a bilingual user, it’s very useful. If you use some app in a certain country.
Everyone else: "cool feature"
Me: "why did you cross off 60fps and leave 30fps.??
@sr1nu it's possible, you could explain
THIS IS WHAT I NEED. FINALLY
Gracias señor Marcos
That T-shirt was amazing
And here i thought this was trucker hat related!

Yeah, that's cool. Knew that being Danish and have preferred English since DOS (the system that came before Windows).

Love love love this!

iPhone has had this, and it didn’t need support from applications.. It natively worked with every single app.
Omg! This will be amazing for me
Hi! can you pls review the cheap gaming phone called Tecno Pova4 pro? even if it's just shorts, I would appreciate it

My friend Does this. He is learning German, thus the whole phone is in German. But some apps he would need in English because they are too complex
Hey kaliya you have lots of subscribers views

Yes!!! I wish Siri can be bilingual. That way I can command in two languages

And don't why am thinking mkbhd would look good with dreadlocks. He can keep shaving of the side but the would do with a makeover.
Where do I get that shirt??
Nice T-shirt
It’s already there on iOS as well
Awesome
That's a nice QOL feature. Well done Android.
pov: apple having this for years
Apple in 2030: we just came up with something revolutionary!!
They mess up the preferred sim card for users with multiple sims, you cannot select separate sim for data and the other is the call default:((
What's the catch here? We're using multiple languages on both android and iOS for years with no issues, what's new?
I am watching this in android 3 ..
In 1000 years it will come to iOS and it will be a revolution, Johny
Wasn’t it kinda a gripe for some android users that apple puts all their app settings in the settings app? Now google is doing it too?
Cool 100%
Hopefully I could use it in my Samsung Galaxy A72.
Out of the topic Q but can someone explain me the 30fps idea on the t shirt

Am I the only one who noticed MKBHD starts by saying "so" in most of the shorts 🤔
Why only 30 fps
This feature converges to a small group of people
Does it work on mi 9t mobile ?
I bet a lot of people who use English for work will have work apps in English and their social apps in their home language.
It's great but does not work for all the applications, unfortunately :(

How about app specific font sizing and ppi?
Asking too much natively but it could have been a nice feature that can be added in ppi settings in Developer Settings 😅

Wtf I literally was brought here by searching android 13 from dbz😂
Which phone is this?
This is an excellent solution for some games that require your device to be in English
As a Portuguese native speaker, sometimes I use apps auto translated and they're awful, so having the option to turn it off for some apps might just be a scenario in witch I may turn the settings on my phone back to Portuguese, this is great!

Google makes Pixel to test their new Android version.
nah, pixel ui is very different from stock android. stock has a lot of features missing, but also runs more efficient and faster
All I was looking at was your video quality
The iPhone already has the same thing
Android has so much to really offer idk why iphone even exist
What's the phone in the video?

But I've been doing that for almost a year now with my Android 12, so I think its not a new feautre.
